Richard says:
Al, I do believe we’ll see the precious metals start their move up again toward the end of the year but before that will probably see them test their lows again. In fact it appears silver may be forming a large reverse head and shoulders and still has to form the final shoulder. Not only that but the stock market is getting “long in the tooth” and I believe we’re in for a correction —if that happens the precious metal prices will in all likelihood not decouple. But the long term trend is still our friend and we’ll ultimately see higher prices. By the way, the guys talking about $140 in 2012 should probably re-examine their positions. I might add the Baltic Dry Index is getting crushed and if this is indicative for the shipping of raw materials, the economies of the world are in trouble along with our own. Just some thoughts for you.
Bobby says:
Richard, I lean more towards your views, backed by Dave Morgan, who knows a bit about silver. Nobody want 140 silver more than I, but I think we will probably top out at $60,00 sometime this year and end in the 35-55 range. Don’t forget those NGM (nice government men) who seem to be able to push gold and silver in any direction that they want.
Jerry….i did look at the kitco article you mentioned yesterday and still hold to my above opinions.
Big Al says:
Hi Bobby,
So what is wrong with topping out around $60?
I, by the way, do not think that we will end up in the 35 – 55 range.
Time will tell,
Big Al
Bobby says:
Nothing wrong with $60 silver, Al.
I hope you are right about $140.
We are in exctiting times right now!
Big Al says:
Hi Bobby,
To set the record straight, I am not calling for $140 silver necessarily. I am simply saying that I believe that the trend for the price of silver will continue to go up. $140 is certainly possible, but remember that we buy silver as insurance not because we are looking for short term (or even long term) profits.
Best,
Big Al
Jerry O^OTB says:
hi bobby…..I hope you do not think I am calling for $140 silver this year….
My thoughts are closer to Dave Morgan…..about 60…..
The reason I think $60….JPMORGAN AND THE BIG BOYS (pilgrim soc.)
are not going to give the printing machine away to the serfs….
Bobby says:
thanks for the clarifications Jerry and Big Al
Marc says:
BTW Big Al
Big day today for me investment wise. Got out of my GDXJ comfort level and I initiated a position in…….drum roll please……Orko silver Corp. That is my first junior leap and I hope many more to come. That is where the “real money” is made. Only time will tell, but prospects look good…(of course, guys, don’t take this as investment advice.) Just lettin you know that I am now taking my investment portfolio to a different level – that’s all. Thanks. FYI, as of today I was only in SLW, GDX, GDXJ and SIL.
All the best,
Marc

Bobby says:
marc, dont put all your eggs in one basket, spread out among the juniors, as they can be very very volitial, i know from experience and it is difficult to be down 80% for months or years at a time.pick 5 or 10 and hold till the end.
Marc says:
Bobby
Thanks for the advice – will do – a very cogent idea!
Marc
Big Al says:
Thanks for the input Marc,
We will get together in the desert with Gary Cope, the president of Orko.
Best,
Big Al
Bobby says:
Big Al,
sorry that i do not see your name on the Orlando Money Show roster.
Big Al says:
Never have done anything with those folks. Should I?
Big Al
Bobby says:
Al, this will be my first visit to the show if I attend, Chuck Butler of Everbank is the reason i will attend. I will report back if I make it.
Big Al says:
Thanks Bobby,
I would appreciate your input.
Best,
Big Al
