You are wrong, In the Box,

They only banned open pit mining in Los Angeles. Other major urban areas did ban the concept of open mindedness.

      HI Vortex,

If life is about nothing else it is about open dialog. I know that you agree.

        Vortex says:

Al, with so much unfolding throughout the financial, political and social fabric of bankrupt western nations, dialog is all many have to fall back upon. Millions of everyday folks are truly the invisible people of our time.

But, rest assured Al, we’re going to need much more than dialog to get through the sins of decades of a dishonest political paradigm built on lie’s, war machine dictatorship, debt and propaganda. The illusion of grandeur fed to the American people and taught in public schools and propagated by so called leaders, politicians and institutions of higher learning for decades are about to meet with the brick-wall of realization and reality.

Nothing short of a complete paradigm shift in reality and honest based thinking is going to stop the derailment of a broken, bankrupt social order governed by a dishonest criminalized ruling class.

Maintaining the current folly and belief system that an about-face in a new and honest leadership order is about to take charge is as infantile as infantile gets. Trying to save a compromised political entity such as we have in America is akin to trying to patch a gaping hole in the hull of the Titanic while it is sinking.

But in the meantime, I agree, lets keep the dialog open for America’s sake.

          castanheiro says:

          Hello Vortex,
Along with Jerry O^OTB, I agree with much of what you say, as do many of our bloggers. You’re not alone in your beliefs. Just wanted to tag onto your comment, “Trying to save a compromised political entity such as we have in America is akin to trying to patch a gaping hole in the hull of the Titanic while it is sinking.” If I misread you, you’ll have to forgive me. I’ll assume you mean our current “political system”. I don’t believe the political system or structure is broken. What we have are mal-intentioned, broken, people in positions with a sense of unbridled power. On the flip side, we Americans have been asleep for far too long, simply trusting that the people in office are going to do what is right for America, and so we haven’t been guarding the henhouse. We essentially have allowed, through our own neglect, the hi-jacking of our process. It’s bad people, not a bad system that is to blame.
And on “dialog”. Yes, dialog is always good. It is where we exchange ideas, listen and grow by expanding our perspectives. So, from dialog come more ideas, from ideas come conviction, and from conviction come decisions, and from decisions comes destiny or outcome. As Al has often said, “No one of us is the ‘prettiest’ baby in the nursery”. Over the years, my perspectives and conclusions about matters have changed, and it is due to the abundance of input from others. “In a multitude of counsel, there is wisdom” Proverbs.
Best to you and welcome back,

          dialog

I find Vortex’s comments more in the area of intellectualizing, a defense mechanism, than serious discussion. Sounds more dialectical, isn’t that Marxist? Al, your doing just fine! If people don’t recognize a socialist President by now, I don’t think there is any hope to changing their minds. Personally, I view our government heading down a far more dangerous path and would rather hear more Austrian style solutions.

[In a way we did-- war of 1812] I like Ron Paul , but he wont be allowed to win. Look how they treat him in the debates . maybe i will vote third party in fall. love to all S

The war of 1812 which after it had started was ill-conceived for the fact that we went to war with the wrong nation. It was France that had masqueraded as British merchant marine, so sending us into war with the wrong party. It could be said the so-called going to war with Iraq to search for WMD had the same effect here but with smoke and mirrors for the American public concerned. Bush had us looking for WMD but the real deal was the sacking of the treasury and DOD spending, that has destroyed this country`s finances. Misdirection like Watergate(deep throat, saying follow the money) so forth and so on. It happens. But good point, the GOP will put up a person that can`t win. Ron Paul if allowed to run as the front runner as the GOP candidate, he would have the independents, and moderate democrats and mainstream democrats sick of Obama voting for him. He would be unstoppable. If he(Ron Paul) could just reassure voters that Social Security and Medicare was on the table so to speak not to be touched he could have a better time of it in the primaries.

It would appear that President Obama is starting to get at least one thing right by today in a campaign speech reserecting T. Boone Pickens position that in ten years or less, America’s transportation system will be running mostly on natural gas. The hold up now is the infrastructure or filling stations for the same. Shell is currently building stations along the I-5 corridor and apparently there is a system now between California and Salt Lake. The encouraging thing now is now is that he may be committing some significant Federal resources to developing the infrastructure as a matter of National Federal energy policy….something that would be difficult to argue against in terms of both energy independence and significant job creation although I wish that the private sector would do it instead.

Not to worry, I’ll still be voting for anyone but the President…..surely wish that I hadn’t sold my Westport Innovation stock in December………

    Peter says:

Hi everybody, and especially Big Al:

    Good comments all!

If I may add my two pennies worth: The reason people are amazed and flabbergasted at the things that are happening in the US, just as I was in the mid 2000’s in Canada, was because we hadn’t realized yet what had happened to the old system.

There once was a genuine two party system of government, at least a lot more so than now. But this is no longer the case. There probably once was a genuine left versus right paradigm that was the operational mode of the body politique.

But this is no longer the case. The left vs. right paradigm is now only a pretence that helps to hide what is really going on.

What is it that is going on? The US has a two-headed one-party system. This one party system is a front behind which the real powers hide and they use it to great effect to keep the disenchanted people barking up all the wrong trees.

What is happening is that the old US of A is deliberately and effectively being deconstructed. If you are a liberal, you will (erroneously) blame it on the bad capitalist policies of the Republicans, when they are in office. If you are a conservative, you will (erroneously) blame it on the destructive liberal/socialist policies of the Democrats.

As long as this continues, the powers that be, the powers behind the throne, which make sure there is continuity of development and societal deconstruction, have nothing to worry about. It’s been said that the devil fears nothing more than for people to become aware of his existence. The same goes for “them.”

It is not by coincidence that the agenda of deconstruction of the things that once defined the US, is systematically and consistently advanced under successive administrations. There is a method to the madness that runs like a red thread all the governments that are elected. For “them” the good part is that people have a hard time perceiving this because they are still trapped in the phony left versus right paradigm. It is amazingly difficult to break free from that way of looking at politics.

I have tried to tell an old uncle of mine about some of these things, and even though everything I told him was fact, in the end he simply said: “I just can’t believe that.” I think he doesn’t believe it to this day. It would mean that so many of the things he used to believe in the past were false, and that his way of looking at the world has been false for a long time. This is very threatening and the coping mechanism of dismissing a new way of looking at things is employed.

…Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama…all of them answer to higher authorities. Some would call this “conspiracy” theory. And yet, it’s not.

Environmental policies, health care policies, economic policies, policies to do with religion, etc. all originate in places other than the US. What we find is that they all trickle down from UN, where unelected, unaccountable, taxpayer-funded bodies formulate policies which are handed down to the national chapters of this global shadow government. Why do we think North American and European policies are becoming more and more similar – this was even going on under the Bush’s. If you think this is because of Obama, this is because you are still trapped in the left/right, democrat/republican paradigm.

What the UN wants, is a form of world socialism/fascism. The global governance is intended to be socialistic socially and capitalistic economically. By capitalistic I mean that it will serve “them”, that the system will be set up to enrich the elites at the expense of the people, us, the people with the “junk genes.” This is heavy stuff and if you are not familiar with this, you might think it crazy.

Anyways, this global collectivism which is being implemented before our blind eyes is the reason we are seeing the erosion of our civil liberties (be it in Canada, the UK, Germany…) on an almost monthly basis, starting with the useless, but deliberately humiliating nude scanners at airports, to the routine random bag checks undertaken in places like the Boston metro, that are “not in response to specific threats,” to the empowerment of the military to arrest and imprison American citizens on American soil indefinitely without any recourse to legal process by the victim.

Land of the free? America is now post-America, and her presidents are post-American presidents, who serve the agenda of global collectivism. There are good men out there, but they will not be allowed to penetrate the halls of power. If they do, they will find themselves Kennedied and Lincolned.

America is being dismantled by design by Americans, who are internationalists first and Americans last. What they do they do not do in the service of America but in the service of internationalist collectivism, also known as globalization.

As long as we express exasperation with Obama, or some other president, we are merely looking at a symptom. We have to look higher up and identify the real source and initiators of all that is happening. Obama is simply a front, a puppet the stage of the great global political menagerie.

As long as we are fretting about the daily petty national politicians we are missing the real picture. Electing another president will not make any difference. But hope always dies last, so we keep playing “their” game of left/right politics.

What say you now, my friends?

    Be well,
    Peter

    Hello Al,

I’m not sure there is a “starter” book as on the subject. It is truly a huge topic.

I came across this book a while ago. If you want to know “who’s who” in the shadow system. Also, some research on the particular organizations mentioned, will give an idea into what they do, how they are connected, etc.

    The book:
    http://www.realityzone.com/whoswhoelite.html

    Then there is this:
    http://www.amazon.com/Route-Global-Occupation-Gary-Kah/dp/0910311978

Then you can also hear a lot of pertinent info. on this material in the list of interviews I sent you last week.

Then, here is a very well-researched lecture on the subject by Edward Griffin. It’s an hour and 13 minutes.

G Edward Griffin – ‘The Quigley Formula’ – (The World Government Conspiracy)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXrgrLrBCZI

This is another talk by him titled: The collectivist conspiracy
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jAdu0N1-tvU&feature=related

You realize, you are being offered the blue pill we know from the movie “The Matrix.”

    That’s a start.

Hi Al really love your show and most of all your listeners and comments. It seems that I don`t usually comment too much because for part what is covered by you and others says it all. But you wanted to know sources where to info. so here an observation. From what Peter said “It been said that the devil fears nothing more than for people to become aware of his existence.“ This sounds like from what some Christians friends use to me some years ago; well check out What Is The Council Of Foreign Relations? What does the CFR Do For The United States?, also Council on Foreign Relations – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, and also or try search engines on `The Council on foreign affairs secret agenda` should cover the think tank that is at the center of controversy here. The CFR has been around for many years. I saw many years ago footage from when Nixon was still alive seeing Bill Clinton for to be groomed for the The White House. Nixon`s secratary of state Henry Kissinger was part of this organization. So it does exist as does Satan.
