Rivers and streams do the same thing only better. Glacial till, moraines and loess can be used in geochemical studies to trace back to the source, but it requires knowledge of the glacial episode. For example diamonds were found in various northern States of the US more than a hundred years ago, but because these diamonds were carried and deposited by continental glaciers which covered the northern portions of North America, the area of what is now Canada is huge and to trace back to source these diamonds using glacial episodes is near impossible. In the case of Canadian diamonds, it was much easier to look for their origin by searching source type rocks like Kimberlite instead of following the lead of diamonds where were spread out millions of square miles.

In Sweden, they have a very good place to actually do tracing using glacial debris.

I think it would be safe to leave it on in the shower; I know myhmeotr has been doing that ever since she’s gotten it34 years ago! There haven’t been any problems with the diamonds;they’re still stuck on like glue. However, the actual ring has slipped off her finger a few times and there have been a fewclose calls when falling near the drain. Just make sure to buyone of those plastic things that prevent hair from falling throughyour drain. You place them over your shower strainer, but I’mnot sure what it is called. Anyway, good luck and don’t worrytoo much about it. Your ring will be fine! Oh, and congrats! 🙂

Using a geochemical meter is easy, but when looking for gold they don`t, you look for other elements like copper, lead, zinc for gold. And for PGM, you look for chromium, titanium, & iron. One of my deposits using a 100 power lens microscope diamond was found and I`m in California. In northern CA locating gold in hard rock deposits were what I always looked for, never worked much for placiers. Lode deposits is where you find thousands, placiers you find zip. Good video, I always enjoy this kind mining info.
