Big Al, and All – FYI
Rickards of “Currency Wars” talks about Gold, manipulation and the coming QE by June of this year (overt QE) at Futuremoneytrends.com. Could be a nice precursor piece for your upcoming weekend show. All the best to you folks out there.

Al,,,,most good investment, have come from experience, and gut feelings,
gut feelings, come from experience of past experiences…..
Sometimes they say…..NO GUTS, NO GLORY….
    Just my thought…..ootbs….

    Hi Jerry O^OTB,
Very well said. I fully agree with you, OF COURSE!
No guts, No glory….Yep, it takes guts, courage to hang in there and maintain confidence in something when the appearance on the surface may look quite gloomy. But, when you believe in the fundamentals, the people, etc. and stay with it, while others may choose to bail, that’s when the savor of success tastes so sweet. Ahhhhh, the glory!!!! Buy more at these prices.

        Apr 21, 2012 21:11 PM

        Hey Marc,
Don’t know buddy. Last time I saw Irish, he was going for another drag on the Guiness and mumbling something about Jerry______ and some Big ‘Sheriff’ not showing up for the festivities……then, he was going back to his ‘mancave’ to nurse his wounds. I suspect he’ll be back to his ol’ self soon….and thanks for askin’.

      Hello JerryO^OTB,
Thanks for your most kind words my friend, and Right back at you, too!! I will not be able to be on here and blogging as much as in the past. I am experiencing a work schedule change, am also going back to school, and with family and Church, I will not have much free time left. So, you may not hear from me as often, but I will be trying to catch up and spend as much time here as I can, while running the “treadmill” of life. Always good to hear from you.
      Best to you and Blessings!

“No guts, No glory” – I can introduce you guys to gamblers, they think the same way.

I have a hard time associating investment activities with guts and glory. To me, this is a deliberate, knowledge based endavior that reaps rewards for those who keep emotions out of it.

I have to say when the “plunge protection team” and all their associates get in there to rig the system, one might as well just go to the race tracks.

      Apr 20, 2012 20:39 PM

      Hello Miss Du…..
      thanks for the post…..
No guts, no glory…..Can you introduce me to Donald Trump….I would like to get on
      his show…..
I like gold and silver,,,and that takes guts to own, when everyone says you are wrong,
,and I agree with you ……deliberate, knowledge…..is required , but, knowledge,
alone, and deliberation, requires action….and action sometimes takes guts., especially
when you know the house, or the plunge protection team is trying to control the outcome.

      Apr 21, 2012 21:25 PM

      Hello MDT,
Yep, I understand how you might think that. Sometimes it’s tough to distinguish between the two. Have to keep analyzing what I’m doing, why I’m doing it, and checking my motives and priorities. I would agree to a point that investing is a “deliberate knowledge based endevour”, but it’s not 100%. There are aspects to decision making that have to account for many ‘unpredictable’ variables, what ifs, maybes, etc.. It is not an ‘exact science’. If it was, anyone reasonably good at math would be mulit-millionaires. What about timing, cycles, black swan events, geopolitics, actions by the masses who may move in and out of stocks in huge numbers as their investment guru signals them, and the list goes on, and on. As you said, with non-identified players in the game like the PPT, the JPMs and Goldmans of the world all muddying up the drinking water, at times even investing resembles a ‘crapshoot’. The deeper you dig into these matters, the more convoluted they become. Your point is well taken and thanks for the perspective.

@Jerry O^OTB – Once I understood where and how inflation is created and how this relates to the money supply and buble creations, the choice of gold and silver seemed pretty clear.

Now which horse to pick however, does take guts. I`m just not sure how much glory one gets out of a two dollar bet. 🙂

      Apr 21, 2012 21:44 AM

Miss Du….I do not bet, so that limits the amount of guts required to make a decision.
therefore, limiting the need for two dollar bills…
ps. BUBBLES ARE GREAT TO STUDY…BY THE WAY GOT ANY TULIPS….I understand
they were quite popular in the 1700…Here lO^Oking at ya….
thanks for the reply…..hope to see ya on the big weekend show….best…ootb

        Hi JerryO^OTB,
You’re doing it again, makin’ me laugh. You’re able to speak truth and mix it with humor, which is a rare and valuable artform. You are immensely appreciated!
        Best to you my friend,

Al, seems to me the PP wasn’t completed.. They wanted to raise $7.5! This is a far ways off!! ” Premium Exploration Inc. (“Premium” or the “Corporation”) (TSX VENTURE:PEM; OTCQX: PMMEF) is pleased to announce that it has filed a preliminary short form prospectus in the Provinces of British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario for a previously announced offering of units (the “Units”) led by Alliance Industrial Securities Inc. and Casimir Capital Ltd. (the “Agents”) for gross proceeds of up to $7.5 million”

Hopefully they can get the SP up and finance at the .50 level..

    Apr 21, 2012 21:16 AM

I bought back into the PEM story at 10.5 cents because even a messed up financing from last year shouldn’t keep a good story down. Watch out for when the warrants mature in 4 months though. If the company is doing poorly there will be a big sell off. Don’t think that the financings are above board just because it is done in Canada. I know Puplava says they can get away with murder some times.

    Dan

      Apr 21, 2012 21:32 AM

Dan, I think the murder has already been committed! Due to the obvious and gross mismanagement of the company (and I’m being overly kind), this stock is dead. Unlikely, although possible, it may partially resurrect. This is all, of course, in my humble opinion.

        Apr 21, 2012 21:44 AM

I am not expecting anything more than a return to the 15 cent or so level. I may hold a few thousand shares just to see if they do fly. I agree, Clark, that the biggest danger to these companies are the brokers who say they are there to help the company raise financings. I hope the management has learned a lesson before it becomes fatal to the share price.

Reminds me of; “I am from the government and I am here to help you!”

Al, although not strategic, gold could have some economic benefit to the US. So what is your opinion on this bill just presented?
