    Big Al and all.
A very pleasant good morning to everybody. I was doing my usual routine of scouring the internet to gather current hard asset related news, etc. and I ran across this video I thought was extraordinarily interesting. Mark Dice (This info is not verified – meaning I didn’t research the exact circumstances surrounding this video – i.e. authenticity, set-up or protocols used in the interview process). Evidently, he is in my “neck of the woods” Encinitas – Northern San Diego County) asking people to give him ONLY $25 for a $50 face value gold maple leaf one ounce coin. He is asking, seemingly random people in the street; in front of an Encinitas coin shop! At least 10 people had this simple opportunity to make roughtly 62 TIMES their money! C’mon seriously…..are we that far ahead of people’s sphere of knowledge! Please just forget the future values of the PM market for a second. I am just talking about GENERAL AWARENESS of economics and markets. Has it really come down to the

oops…hit the wrong button. Has it really come down to this? I was flabberghasted (sp?). What is even more disheartening is that he set them up and “spoon fed them” to at least “INVESTIGATE” the possibilities of the inquiry. Simply unbelievable IF I take this video in the context of how it was presented to me (the viewer). NOTE: I saw the video on the Financial Survival Network site….(I wrote this shaking my head back and forth – in utter disbelief :))
      All the best,
      Marc

    Oh yeah,
remember Big Al and all – we are in a hard asset (gold) bubble! That video proves it! LOL!
    Geeeeez,
    Marc

      May 30, 2012 30:09 AM

Marc….thanks for warning Big Al on the “bubble”….He is still hold “tulip bulbs” from the past bubble….

        May 30, 2012 30:08 AM

        In the Box,

We have so many tulip bulbs that we decided to cover our deck with potting soil and we now have a great deck with so many tulips on it that we can no longer go out and drink wine on it. Same with the roof of our home; the front yard; back yard; and, side yards. The next operation we have planned is to cover the entire front room with potting soil. Should be a great place for the tulips as the room is always full of sunlight.

Nobody can say that I don’t have any ingenuity!

Marc, I have seen a couple simalar u tubes, a guy tried to buy a coffe with a 1 oz silver coin and couldnt the other was a guy trying to get what he could for a 1 oz silver, he tried and tried and finally ended up with 3 hot dogs. His statment was “thats what 1 oz silver is worth”

    Al
The eisenhower (sp) statement was from 321 gold.
MY mistake for not making it clear, thought it pertained to the discusion.
The story was simaler to a previous post, my point was there may have been a few guys that got back from the 1st war feeling that way.

If a person has seen half the photos and films I have of it they would know beyond a doubt, if hell on earth existed that war was a contender for the title.

Some really good thought provoking shows latly Al. Absolutly excellent posts from so many good contributers.
Thanks for everything everybody, vote or write in RON PAUL.

      benb,

I have a photo passed down from WW1. It’s non-discript, with just a bunch of soldiers walking past ugly, muddy trenches with several dead horses. Though in sephia-faded black-and-white, and doesn’t show anything too graphic, it’s still a disgusting picture to me. It’s war in a photograph. And hell is a pretty good description on it.

The “one ounce gold coin” video reminds me of the story which came out of the 30’s of someone standing on the street corner trying to exchange a $20 bill for a $1 bill. No one would take him up on the offer. I think it has more to do with the guy’s credibility than with people’s knowledge of gold. The guy isn’t much of a salesman … he couldn’t even interest the ladies in having dinner. Hahaha!

And why use a Canadian coin in (where was it) California? It’s an immediate red flag. Good luck with using Canadian currency of any sort south of Montana.

I actually congratulate all those folks who brushed off what could easily have been a con artist. Although, I have to say, that with the coin shop right there, I would have taken the coin, told him, “I’ll be right back” and gone inside to have it checked out.

Unfortunately, the day is coming when most of those same people will be standing in line to buy gold and silver at $3,000 and $100 and when some guy offers to sell them a fake coin for 1/2 price because he “needs to pay his cell phone bill”, they’ll gladly do it, and be considered fools for not doing “due diligence”.

      Irwin,
I was thinking the EXACT same thing…but, the coin shop right there pretty much clinched the deal for me.

First Christmas as a family of 4! We plan to snlugge on Christmas Eve and read The night before Christmas, and allow the boys to open one Christmas gift. Then Christmas morning we’ll go to Church and spend the day with family all while eating ourselves silly!

      May 29, 2012 29:03 PM

Hi Irwin, sometimes when I get some Canadian coins in place of US coins they work real good in old parking meters here in California.

Some will be disappointed by this, but the military has been on the streets many times.

The deployment of 22 active-duty military police and the provost marshal from Fort Rucker, Ala., to the scene of a civilian killing spree 25 miles from post may have violated federal law.

    http://www.armytimes.com/news/2009/03/army_rucker_032809w/

Marion county, TN saw the air force; the Dallas Fed protest was spied on by the Army; San Bernardino County, California saw the Marines; deployment of 2,300 Marines in the city of Indianapolis under the direction of FBI and the Department of Homeland Security…

The conditionning of the population has been under way for decades. In spite of Posse Comitatus.

Another crime the FBI will never do anything about.

Dennis M. O’Neil – Did you know all UN employees work tax free? Planetary diplomatic immunity as a bonus…

    May 29, 2012 29:58 PM

    “Planetary diplomatic immunity!” Wow!
I will not bother Al then…… I will call Art Bell to see if he could hook me up.

addressing political correctness with respect to Canadian health care.

Sadly, we have for a long time had to put up with extreme political correctness in Canada. We can’t even have a mature discussion about the future of our collective public health care systems (provincial jurisdiction) without being verbally slapped in the face by a liberal or socialist accusing us of wanting to leave people to die in the street while the “rich” get first in line to see good doctors.

In Canada on health care we are generally 1 step to the left of the U.S. in that Conservatives generally believe in care provided in a mixed market (public and private, where appropriate) regardless of one’s ability to pay…but would welcome fees; while the left want excellent care without fees ever for any thing. The result of this “political correctness” is a lack of necessary modernization, waiting lists of 4-6 months for a knee/hip replacement, and equally mediocre care nation wide which we are supposed to be proud of and call a “Value”.

Housing market in USA improving, in some areas its ramping up hugely!

Did you read about the bidding wars in Phoenix? Inventory has gone down massively in the last 12 months and prices are up 25%. Its only a matter of time in my opinion before this housing recovery moves to the majority of regions in the US and then watch the markets soar. Gold will move up big time at that juncture as inflationary concerns will be to the fore.

Arizona, a state which seems to be more free; are they legalizing gold and silver as currencies there? I know it has fewer restrictions on vehicles etc. allowing the car/dune-buggy tomcar on it’s roads.
