    Very interesting points, TR.

Some of the predictions you are making are as black as they come. WWIII coming up? Heaven forbid, but should it come, it will be interesting to see what that would look like. If it is what we have commonly assumed it will be, with nuclear “exchanges”, I’m not sure our gold would help us a whole lot.

An interesting question is what would be the trigger for WWIII? It does seem like there is no shortage of candidates, however.

      Hi Peter,

I completely agree with your comments.

Sure there are a lot of triggers for another world wide conflict. I don’t see it happening because the end game is almost complete destruction. People are stupid, but not that stupid!

    Rog:
You may have commented on this in the past, if you have pardon me, as I missed it:
When you say buy gold and silver and “keep it in your possession” do you literally as in keep it at home in a hidden safe/ as opposed to a third party contract vault??
    Thx for a reply

      Afternoon Edward,

Don’t know about Roger. I do know that Kathy and I keep ours in our possession.

This report makes me want to vomit! Everyone should vote ANTI-OBAMA even if they can’t vote for Romney. Swallow your pride, any vote for anyone other than Romney will put Obama in office. Want to know the truth about THE AMATEUR…read the book..Obama makes all his decisions on whether or not he can get re-elected. He never was presidential material and never will be!.

      Jun 18, 2012 18:34 PM

      HI Sandy,

That is why I did not vote for him.

I read his second book; looked at his record; and, considered his philosophy. I made what I felt was an informed decision in voting for John McCain.

Who the heck would want to be Prez if USA is going to hit the red brick wall during the next four years – as Peter Schiff says it will?

If I had any say in the matter (which I don’t) I’d hope for my worst enemy to be the next wiener.

Oh boy, oh boy, Trader Rog got out of the bed on the wrong side this moring!

I wondered if the 2008 US election would happen after Lehman and the financial system collapsed. However, the election happened on time. Obama took office on time. The whole setup went smoothly. The election was meaningless; there was no “change that you can believe in.” Same for 2012; it will just take you deeper into the fascist / socialist quicksand.

I am not sure if you can have stocks down 90% and inflation at the same time. I doubt it very much. Also, the increasing jobless may benefit some of the big corporations; for them it means paying out lower wages, stiffing the unions and increasing productivity, becoming lean and very mean. The stockmarket has jumped up on higher unemployement in the last 3 years. However, a worldwide recession/depression could drop these stocks a lot, due to lack of customers, anywhere.

Rog sounds today like a cross between Robert Prechter and Gerald Celente; depressing indeed! A bit of R. John Williams thrown in. However, only Celente has had anything right in the last 3 years.

Roger could very well be right about Obama. I believe there is someone out there deciding who will be presedent. It wont make any differance if Romney got in, he too will just take orders. To me, writing in Ron Paul is the only way to allow an informed person to look themselves in the mirror.
As for ww3, looks to me that its already begun, as Ron Paul says sanctions or killing people the way they do is an act of war, also we have the currency war going on.
I think people are going to have to realise they are being decieved, Sorry to any Catholics but the popes afiliation to child molestation was swept under the rug, now we have the church being investigated for laundering money for the Scicilian mafia.
The only thing a person can do to not support this kind of thing is not give them money. Same goes for Isreal, they are committing genocide, so I dont see how a good person could send money to support Isreal. These are dicisions we have to make for ourselves. Our governments support these acts so they cant be counted on to do the right things, we must do it ourselves. I think what makes it hard to convince people of this is most people refuse to think, also we know the brain protects beliefs, how these normal human conditions can be overcome I have no idea.
It is critical thinkers that are rare, maybe even abnormal.
I agree with Roger, what we can do is stay informed and protect ourselves and family
    thru wise positioning and preperation.

      Hi benb,

Without being radical and dramatic that is what we have been doing for the past ten years or so.

I refuse to be radical and dramatic because when a person is that way emotions take the place of common sense!

      Bobby,
Since Al lives next to Canada, I vote we buy some house boats, stock up on some bait
and beer(for irish)…ready to case off shore when theSHTF…Go NORTH TO ALASKA,
AND AS MARK WOULD SAY….”STAY FROSTY”,
Anyone a bush pilot out there….. just in case we need to fly in to the cabin in the woods…there is a lot of wild country out there….Just ask Roger, he has been in
the back country of Michigan for the last week,,,,I bet he has been finding a hiding
      place…..
      OOTB….

        Jun 18, 2012 18:55 PM

        OTB,
There’s a house boat at sanford and son marina that I will loan to anyone wanting to look for a river front cabin. Needs a new prop. Ran over a sleeping gator that was on the bottom of the st johns. Made him mad and he took a bite out of the pontoon so there is a bit of water to pump out. Has a few snakes also that have made a home but outside of that its ready to go. Ask for captain gator and he will show you around.

          Jun 19, 2012 19:19 AM

          Jerry M…..
I just left Gainsville, (UofF country, for those who do not know) I was living on
Payne Prairee, wild life all over the place…including snakes that bite…and
gators…I am not sure I would like to continue killing snakes, I hate snakes,
I have the same opinion as INDIANA JONES…I am not affraid of snakes, I just
do not like being startled by them….
What is funny , the place I rented, was on 5 acres, swimming pool, tennis court,
built by the dean of architure at U of F…but, still had snakes….

But, I do like the idea of that house boat and appreciate the offer…
I will have to say , some of the water and rivers running thur that part of the
          country are beautiful….
I am back in Indiana for the moment, and plan on leaving again, this winter
for south fLORIDA….Maybe, we could get together and I will help get the boat
out, only if you chase out the snakes….I’ll buy the beer and bait and contribute
to the new prop…heck, I’ll even buy, the gas…
One thing for sure, no one in there right mind is going in the bush, to chase you
down for your pm…if you know what I mean…..

            Jun 19, 2012 19:02 AM

            Morning In the Box,

You have no idea how much a person can be terrified of snakes.

I was in a pet shop one day when they took a very large boa out to show to a potential buyer. I almost went thru the front window to get out.

            Total panic!

Now, you said something about buying the beer? I might just reconsider!

            Big Al

          Jun 19, 2012 19:12 AM

Going to the Keys is definately on the list,
I like your thoughts on the flat boat….

bobby, it has to do with your position and what you Can do. Ultimatly, you want to live on self supporting land that can produce food supplied with all things you might need. But for most people it is to what degree we can protect ourselves, gold and silver play a part but so does having the medicines needed to withstand disruptions,
some food and currency in the house etc Some preperations are better than nil. If a person was so inclined they could reaserch those “prepper” sites. They have lists of items handy to have around.

        HI Bobby,

Another strong disagreement from Big Al.

I believe that the odds of a 90% drop in the conventional markets is slim to none.

Look for a Daily Editorial on this from me tomorrow.

Remember, there is nothing wrong with disagreement. My philosophy has always been to air all sides of the story unless there is dishonesty involved on one side. Roger is nothing but honest in his beliefs. I can attest to that.

My position at least 6 months ago was that Obama wants to win at all cost. He stands ready and willing to thumb his nose at the constituion and will use it for toilet paper. If he can dream up a reason to allow illegal aliens to get green cards with little push back from Rebulicans, he would have no problem declaring a holiday for Nov 7th. What do you think the spineless Republicans would do? Nothing.

If stocks do go down as much as TR says then just buy the INVERSE ETF’S. When the market goes down these inverse etf’s go up.

More money is made when markets go down which sucks for the non-informed but this has been going on since 2000. Todays market is no further ahead than where it was in 2000.

As Roger says get out of debt. Don’t let anyONE own you and your family thru credit cards. Stay alert and just trade what is in front of you on the screen.

Senate Bill 1813, sponsored by Barbara Boxer, has a rather odious section added to it. The IRS can have your passport revoked if they accuse (not necessarily prove) that you owe back taxes. Ron Paul actually talked about the government not letting people leave, and was mocked. Read this…it’s making the rounds and it’s very important:

    http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/112/s1813/text

‘SEC. 7345. REVOCATION OR DENIAL OF PASSPORT IN CASE OF CERTAIN TAX DELINQUENCIES.
    • ‘(a) In General- If the Secretary receives certification by the Commissioner of Internal Revenue that any individual has a seriously delinquent tax debt in an amount in excess of $50,000, the Secretary shall transmit such certification to the Secretary of State for action with respect to denial, revocation, or limitation of a passport pursuant to section 4 of the Act entitled ‘An Act to regulate the issue and validity of passports, and for other purposes’, approved July 3, 1926 (22 U.S.C. 211a et seq.), commonly known as the ‘Passport Act of 1926’.
‘(b) Seriously Delinquent Tax Debt- For purposes of this section, the term ‘seriously delinquent tax debt’ means an outstanding debt under this title for which a notice of lien has been filed in public records pursuant to section 6323 or a notice of levy has been filed pursuant to section 6331, except that such term does not include–
    ◦ ‘(1) a debt that is being paid in a timely manner pursuant to an agreement under section 6159 or 7122, and
‘(2) a debt with respect to which collection is suspended because a collection due process hearing under section 6330, or relief under subsection (b), (c), or (f) of section 6015, is requested or pending.
    .
    .
    (some edits for brevity)
    .
    .
‘SEC. 4. AUTHORITY TO DENY OR REVOKE PASSPORT.
    • ‘(a) Ineligibility-
    ◦ ‘(1) ISSUANCE- Except as provided under subsection (b), upon receiving a certification described in section 7345 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 from the Secretary of the Treasury, the Secretary of State may not issue a passport or passport card to any individual who has a seriously delinquent tax debt described in such section.
‘(2) REVOCATION- The Secretary of State shall revoke a passport or passport card previously issued to any individual described in subparagraph (A).

So, In the Box, when are you moving to California?

        Big Al

      Jun 19, 2012 19:50 AM

John: Serious situation is it not. Puplava has been telling people all about these things, a real 2012 Armageddon for the US, end of the world kind of thing. Most people in the US actually believe what Obama, Pelosi, Reid and their democrats have done is a good thing by excusing their support with reference to what Bush and congress did before them. Two wrongs never make a right, but in this case it is more than just two wrongs, more like a thousand plus wrongs which create economic and social Hell.

It has been said in many ways, “One thing about history that repeats is, that people never learn from history”. Same for Europe, Germany, Japan and on through time. For example, records show that when taxes and fees rise beyond a certain amount, tax revenues fall. Revenues never exceed 17 to 20 percent of real GDP, and like in Greece, Spain, Portugal and now Italy and the US, as taxes are raised their GDP’s decline with less economic output to tax resulting in lower tax revenues. California is now declining rapidly because of this economic principle.

It gets much worse going forward because in order to return to a sound economy, it is requires a massive reduction in taxes even less than the rates it was raised from. This also requires massive austerity with government layoffs, pension cuts, reductions in all things to bring down the costs along with the revenues. But the pain does not stop there because in order to bring Government down to the size it can be supported requires lots of time, and it is a much longer lag to recovery than the time it took for the collapse. This all assuming the situation can be fixed without having already crossed the event horizon of no return caused by an economic bang.

The US has crossed that event horizon and there is no fix or return.

        Jun 19, 2012 19:50 AM

        Morning Clay,

I happen to agree with you.

If you are interested in the other side of the story read this: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/06/18/opinion/krugman-greece-as-victim.html?_r=1

    Jun 18, 2012 18:50 PM

And I thought I was a pessimist. Roger, I am afraid you win the negative outlook game, don’t think I would want to play poker with you.

If I were to agree, there is one thing to add to that list which in my opinion is not a negative but actually positive and natural. The US as we have know it for these last couple centuries is coming to an end, especially if Obama is re-appointed, not that the anointed Romney would make any difference which he won’t, but in case Obama is re-appointed, he won’t die in office, neither will he be impeached, resign or go AWOL (although I think he has done that long time ago), what Obama will do is nothing, which is precisely what he has done his entire life. The positive thing that will happen in the US will be to break apart into separate nations. Obama is the last president of the US because in consideration to Rogers predictions, it will be natural that separate nations emerge as result of the break up.

Should WWIII happen, it is likely to end up here and fought on the soil of the Continental US. Perhaps something like Rome or maybe Yugoslavia although I doubt it that way. If we are lucky the US will break up like the Soviet Union without a North American war, which I believe is more likely.

In clarification I do not agree with Rogers predictions. Obama will not be re-elected nor will he be in the White House for second term. The Dow will not fall 90% but instead actually rise. What we will be seeing is massive world wide money printing starting at the Fed, ECB, BOJ and IMF. We will see fiat currency devaluation on a world wide scale in efforts to pay off the debt with inflated paper money. We are not going to see a deflationary depression, but instead will be living through a World Wide hyperinflationary depression ending in a new world currency backed by a wide range of hard assets like Jim Sinclair outlines. Gold will be the bulk of this new currency and something like the SDR at the IMF. International settlements will be done in the new currency not the dollar. The US will not break apart but will play a minor role in the new World Currency.

      Jun 19, 2012 19:55 AM

      Clay,
I am in agreement with most your final paragraph, my only difference is that I see no possible way for Obama to lose.

    http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=3.8%20medicare%20tax%202013&source=web&cd=3&sqi=2&ved=0CFcQFjAC&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.realtor.org%2Fsmall_business_health_coverage.nsf%2Fdocfiles%2Fgovernment_affairs_invest_inc_tax_broch.pdf%2F%24FILE%2Fgovernment_affairs_invest_inc_tax_broch.pdf&ei=cezfT47LLefU2AXUttyICg&usg=AFQjCNFPK_WSXg3LMFNmAKmDgWjJ_4wN2g&cad=rja

In short, starting January 2013, a 3.8% medicare tax will be imposed for unearned income if your income is higher than the limits above. That means if you sell your principal residents, or collect dividends, etc. you have a new tax to contend with. I’ll bet you didn’t know this was part of the Obamacare bill, did you?

As written, the income limits have no indexing formula, so more people will reach it’s threshold each year. Moreover, this provision just opens the door to taxing home sales.

Sorry, you’re “principal resiDENCE”. Your home. It can be taxed in a new way now.

      Johh w.
Dont forget that your rental property’s income will also be taxed at this rate.

          Morning again In the Box,

“We need to pass this bill, so we can find out what is in it” is one of the most interesting comments I have ever heard from a politician. Or should I say, ridiculous instead of interesting?

      Jun 19, 2012 19:33 AM

      Jerry,

When I posted some stuff about France’s Hollande a month or so ago, I chided some of his party’s views such as taxing all ex-patriate French citizens. So even if a Frenchman has had enough and go lives in Swaziland, France never let’s him go. I grew up hearing about this stuff happening in the communist Soviet Union. Even Canada and the US will not let a citizen leave for another destination without mandatory withholding on savings over a certain level….not new income, but money you’ve already paid taxes on!

        Jun 19, 2012 19:13 PM

Well, they can keep this bull up, and they just might get more than they bargin for.
Thur out history….it is proven….all slaves go along so far…and then they revolt..
that is not me talking…..but fact….that is why the do not teach history anymore.

Some people are aware and do not intend on keeping silent, when you take all the
things in life away and keep squeezing, things will bop,
I think Gerold Cellinte says, something to the effect, “when the common man loses all
his stuff,,he will finally lose it (go out of control)
PEACEFUL REVOLT, BY VOTING IN A THIRD PARTY…..
        Best…..ootb

          Jun 19, 2012 19:37 PM

Yes. We’ve crossed some pretty big lines in the last few years (it didn’t all start with Obama, but it sure accelerated). I’m started to actually get a bit worried what the country is going to look like in 3 years, much less 5 or 10 years.

            Jun 20, 2012 20:31 PM

            John W,

You are definitely not alone. I started to get really concerned in 1999.

          HI In the Box,

How do you feel about a third party vote in November?
