Well my gold stocks were up again today with the market crashing. Starting to feel good after the huge losses from December to May. Franco nevada would have been a great stock through that period as it collects royalties only and does not operate any mine. It kept going up through that period and up quite sharply today.

Here is a hard asset that outperformed gold: Steve Mcqueen’s 911 sold for 1.3 million. Original cost was round $9000 in 1970. I’m thinking of getting a used type 997 911 next year once gold recovers.

You are talking to the original car “nut”, Paul L.

I drive a 2000 528 that you can eat off the floor of. Change the oil every 3K; keep it showroom clean; and, really enjoy driving it.

Kathy drives an 03 X5. Same story on it as the 528.

Looked at a Porsche B a couple of weeks ago and passed on it because there was absolutely no room for golf clubs!

My daily driver is a 2001 Audi A6 4.2 that still looks and runs like new. I have a Cayenne S which still has a Porsche loan to pay off once my gdxj climbs. My wife has that to drive the kids and I only drive it to the car wash once in a while. Have another Jap. car as a backup car that was passed on to me when my dad died in 2008. Used to own a 944 that I sold when it was about 19 years old and low mileage and in mint condition. Have been a car nut since the 70’s and 80’s when I was still in school.
Bought some more gdxj on the dip today as I think gold is getting ready for a breakout. Gold generally climbs around 8% to 15% during the Nov-Dec period I believe.

      Interesting about the 944.

Our neighbors have a white 944 convertible with, believe it or not, 61K on it. Absolutely concourse!

They would like to sell it to me.

Best to you and your family,

      Big Al
