I have been following this a bit, I thought the leadership of the Ukraine was supporting their people pretty well. Their decision to tie the ukrainian economy to Russia China Kazakstan etc instead of the EU that has countries pretty much giving up their sovernty was a good one.
The americans use the same tactics they have used repeatedly. I wish they would listen to Ron Paul and just get their noses out of other countries business.
A sidenote, the EU is and has slowly been putting preasure on Isreal, money big money leaving boycotts etc.

Keep an eye on crude and natural gas if civil war breaks out. Costs could rise dramatically for Europe if there is a lot of beligerance developing between the US and Russia. Lets remember where the pipelines pass and who the buyers are (hint….they closed down all their reactors not long ago) Secondly, watch for Uranium prices to spike as those reactors get reactivated. The Russian plutonium won’t be available if talk gets too tough. Last…..lets keep in mind that we are only hearing words right now. This could settle down quickly if the parties choose. Nothing is a done deal and a civil war is not a certainty. We all hope that saner heads will prevail. Conflict is bad for business and Europe can il afford this right now.

Those god awful unemployment numbers for youth in Europe don’t help me sleep at night Al. Wars start under such circumstances. I am saying a small prayer that Germany will relent on its obsessive refusal to allow the ECB to issue joint Eurobonds and start weakening the Euro a little. They really need to loosen up a bit over there and bring some stimulus into play. They really need to break out of their deflation trend soon.
