More moaning and groaning from Gary. ;-(

I wonder to many subscribers he sent his newsletter. There can’t be many left.

    Apr 14, 2014 14:29 PM

Thanks Gary. Long dollars (and long the 10 year). We will get a decision by tonight I am quite sure. Stocks are still in a downtrend despite today’s rally. My suspicion is tomorrow is a down day in markets. Maybe quite a bad day.

i hope Gary is right..we all should frankly or we just back and fill and the bears and bulls fight daily and just grind lower, then higher etc…going no where really for a long time imo…

    Apr 14, 2014 14:14 PM

Something is wrong, we see a decline in the markets that looks ominous but then we see the market readjusting itself to look like it is in a secure technical position.

I believe in the opinion that stock prices will be toward a lower level and have been selling on this belief. DT

How many subscribers do you have? Are they making money from your recommendations?
How did you make money when your 1% stop loss got hit last week?

      Apr 14, 2014 14:46 PM

Gary Savaga aka Toby Connor is more of an in hindsight trader. Last week he tried to trade more in real-time. After all he made a “decent” profit of 0.01%. Actually, I thiiiiiink – with a sighing sound – he made a loss. 🙂

    Apr 14, 2014 14:33 PM

Is Toby Connor the same as Gary Savage? I don’t understand is this correct or not? If so why two different names? if not correct than who is Toby Connor.???

      Apr 14, 2014 14:49 PM

I sold my large gdx & gg last Friday at the close after hearing all this constant negative talk and took my big loss. Should have sold of today.

        Apr 14, 2014 14:07 PM

You do know this is an entertainment site, I hope? It is for education and information but its not a trading service…..just a bunch of old guys speculating about the future and having pissing contests over who is the smartest. Most of us could not run around a block if the house was on fire!

      Same guy. Very weird.

    Apr 14, 2014 14:39 PM

Well I just woke up. Looked in on the futures. Sure enough gold is falling. Not too much so far but it is pretty much on script after peaking at my 1330 target yesterday (1331 to be more precise but lets not split hairs ok)….I am no Rick Ackerman so I will take what I can get!

It looks to me like it shall be a steep down day as anticipated. A particularly ugly day for gold too as we have already peeled away 12 dollars from yesterdays peak. My coffee bet on the other hand has not quite finished peaking and shaking off the shorts but may roll over this morning and start heading back down.

As for predictions on the averages…..Ha!….I will probably be thoroughly humiliated on that score as have a million other top callers before me! So I will be eating crow when the rest of you are finally out of bed and awake when the markets open some hours from now.

Gotta say, I love being on the other side of the planet and watching the premarket with my breakfast. Gives you a sense of what the bats and vampires are up too while everyone else sleeps soudly.

      Apr 15, 2014 15:28 AM

Yes it does look like the second leg down has begun. The leg down I’ve been warning was coming for a couple of weeks now.

Over the next couple of days that will become hindsight trading I’m sure. LOL

        Apr 15, 2014 15:26 AM

Feather in your cap Gary. Great call. But before I hand you any awards and do the handshakes and warm hugs please remember this is STILL a pissing match. I got ya one better because I said that gold would get murdered…..and it did. Right on schedule too since I got both price and timing.

Meanwhile, back on the ranch, silver was another winner. So was coffee (Wheeee!) and of course I almost nailed the Euro to the pip and did a decent business on the dollar. It was a home run with loaded bases.

Right out of the park baby! (take that Matthew).

    Apr 15, 2014 15:40 AM

    Lets hope so Gary,
Get a final washout in the next few months…which is why I’m not buying further Miners at the moment
Then off to better times for gold.

    Apr 15, 2014 15:39 AM

Here we go, and just like I was afraid the drop is aggressive as all the longs give up hope and there are no longer any buyers willing to defend price. This is not going to be a grind and it’s not going to stop at $1240.

This virtually guarantees a capitulation phase over the next 4-8 weeks. Buckle up folks this is going to get nasty.

But it is going to give us the buying opportunity of our generation when it’s over.

      Apr 15, 2014 15:28 AM

For the survivors only. Don’t expect any fast bounce back. It does not work that way except in the movies.

    Apr 15, 2014 15:35 AM

I sure hope the gold bugs here don’t start crying about manipulation….give it a rest $1325 proved too much of a resistance area and $20.00 silver could not hold….the big news is out of China with a liquidity squeeze suggesting money for gold in china will back off….all that so called huge demand couldn’t take gold to HH $1500 area so less will certainly drive gold pricing lower. Anyone starts crying about gold going lower should remember their gold bug button pledge….its insurance!

Trade it or prepare for a painful spring…..as far as THE buy of a life time coming up, well didn’t all the gold bugs say that in July of 2013 and again in Dec?

      Apr 15, 2014 15:12 AM

Yes this will be the time where underwater gold bugs start grasping at any and every excuse for why they should continue to hold. Insurance is always a good one.

The simple fact is one could sell right here and go to the sidelines and avoid the incredible pain that is coming and then be in a position to buy the bottom and make 100% or better as gold comes out of that low.

Those that are able to hold (there will be almost none. That’s why they call it a capitulation) will be trying to get back to even while those that sold and bought the bottom of the capitulation will be making huge money.

        Apr 15, 2014 15:20 AM

Okay Gary you’ve hit two homers your March 17th call which all can listen to here at Al’s site suggesting to take profit as you saw a top forming, now your second call not liking the action above $1300 suggesting a rollover….where is your bottom zone target area, not to the penny BS but buy zone, exhaustion zone to buy?….looking forward

          Apr 15, 2014 15:41 AM

Just watch the action and if we get capitulation type event then that is the point to start buying.

      Apr 15, 2014 15:38 AM

Hey JJ….I think the gold-bug pledge is actually “Don’t worry, Mama, it’s only a flesh wound”!

    Apr 15, 2014 15:45 AM

Must say perfect timing for Heavy Hitter to run and hide behind his to da moon call “real soon” BS….start preying buddie! What is it with gold bugs its always, always a buy…is anything in life always a buy? why should gold be any different….pass the Koolaid!

    Cooper sub $3.00 again

    Apr 15, 2014 15:45 AM

I simply laugh along with Gary’s last laugh on those who bash him…. I simply do….. low quality comments should be gone for a while. … and I simply celebrate the peace of mind I will get.

    Apr 15, 2014 15:48 AM

    JTC got PWNED. Roflmfao.
Shorted at 1327.00 yesterday. Good Call Gary and may the GOld bugs take another raping.

    Apr 15, 2014 15:13 AM

Gary, Bird, Doc. Obviously good figuring.
I hope the bashers and disagreers don’t go away, too entertaining.
Maybe now This excellent call will be noticed.

Sell some gold? (physical) I don’t know about that, this looks like a buy time to me.
Besides if it drops only 300 whats the big deal?
A blip on the screen when all is said and done.

I am a goldbug, and I really do see gold as an insurance, I have no intention of selling unless life says to.
Altho Gary makes a tempting case.

Shares?, As I (one of the wise, lol) Listened to Gary I have been on the sid lines for a bit now.
I need more of a capitulation to make money tho, the shares I trade only dropped a couple %.

    Hope this “capitulation” comes quick.

    Apr 15, 2014 15:46 AM

Yep bb hope they don’t go away as well. After how can anyone argue with Gary’s views just one month ago when gold was trading at 1380
    Here it is. Comments welcome
