The problem is the elite need to make more and more money through their ownership of arms suppliers as well as suppliers of other items that the military uses such as construction support, food, fuel, transport, clothing etc. And democracy needs to be forced on other countries for their own good as the US knows best and it helps US businesses.
It is true that the elite like money however it is also true that they like power even more. Power over things and people. The ability to play God if you like. Never under rate this basic fact.
Just because folks are wealthy and elite doesn’t make ’em any smarter than the rest of us … a wise person doesn’t bite the hand that feeds them … focus on the square footage you live on, the thoughts you can control, the people you love, and the God we serve. Eastern Europeans are just going to have to figure out how to fix their own problems … we have plenty of our own. Let’s all hope the wealthy/elite nut cases have the common sense to do same. Thanks to Bob Moriarty for bringing up another important geopolitical issue. When I first heard this story a few days ago, my first thought was that this is a (lame) psi-ops, disinformation campaign to make the pro-Russians look like the fascist-bad-guys. It has all the hallmarks of the CIA from my perspective.
