For GDXJ I place MA(50) at $35.69 with price currently at $36.92.
That’s more than just knocking to me.

      Jun 11, 2014 11:16 PM

      Yup!

      Jun 11, 2014 11:48 PM

The 50 week ma that Doc was talking about is $38.00 right now.

        Jun 11, 2014 11:53 PM

Note that GLDX is already above its 50 week ma. It’s also sporting a better looking (still forming) head and shoulders bottom than GDXJ or the others.

A moving average is a moving average! How can you have different values? Or did I make the mistake of looking at the 50 day average?

          Jun 11, 2014 11:06 PM

Yes, you gave the 50 day ma (which Doc correctly said that we are already through).

An ex Korelin property is silvercrest; that screamed up today.

      Jun 11, 2014 11:51 PM

I believe that I still own a bit of this, Professor.

      Jun 11, 2014 11:55 PM

      And Corvus Gold

        Jun 11, 2014 11:00 PM

I personally purchased Corvus about two years ago.

Screamed? Guess Im still learning the lingo.
Kinda like kwn and their “shocking” news.

        Jun 11, 2014 11:18 PM

I wouldn’t call 3.72% from a junior screaming –a Dow component with that kind of day would be a different story.

I have learned that descriptions in this industry are exaggerated to the point of meaningless.

The industry would be doing themselves a favour by being accurte, percentages instead of descriptions might be better in this regard.

Who ever standardises charts will be a hero in my book too.

Like the fellow that standardised the threads for screws and bolts. Forget his name tho. lol

The industries needed it, like this one needs standardised charts and descriptions, both can be very misleading.

bb, screaming also has a time element, jumping just has a distance.
3.5% in an hour is different from 3.5% in a day.

Sorry this is off topic and out of date, but I think a picture sometimes really does speak a thousand words, sometimes even more.

Norcini was saying altho its interesting silver moved with gold today and not copper, it appears gold has entered the doldrums and looks like it will have a hard time breaking resistance at 1262.
So far he has been correct.
But even with minor movment in gold we are seeing small gains in shares under 5% from what I can tell, but the shares look to me like they are ready to move up well givin an excuse. That looks positive to me.

    Hey Doc,

A few of my Siler miners are now closing back above the 50 week moving average and look like the bottoms are being put in, still waiting for confirmation from IAG and the gold stocks. Looking good for a non confirmation as I still exepct Gold and Silver to head down and make nw lows but most stocks will diverge and not make new lows.

    Jun 11, 2014 11:03 PM

PG; right now my charts are not signalling the possibility of gold making new lows—-I would say that if we don’t close down significantly the rest of this week, the odds are gold has see it’s lows——–if you’re talking about the June and December lows of last year.

      Hey Doc,

Yes, I am referring to the June and Dec. lows of 2013. I am waiting to see how Gold an Silver behave between June 16th-Aug. 16th. The mining stocks are acting nicely and I would have to say that many have put in bottoms and after some re-tests, I agree with your strategy about holding.

Thanks for you analysis, I like your approach. I spent 11 years as a pharmaceutical rep., up here in Canada, probably why I can relate to you. 🙂

      Take care

For anyone that might be interested, pdl North American palladium went up just over 11% today.
Reports are people are moving to platinum and palladium.(something about strikes and sanctions? and supplies of only weeks left?)
Psychology might be something to consider.

      Jun 11, 2014 11:14 PM

BB; you might look at SWC (Stillwater)——I mentioned that a number of weeks ago and it’s had a nice run. PAL is more of a speculative stock. A supply shortage in palladium is supposed to be present until at least 2017. In fact, I like palladium more then I like platinum.

Richard, pdl has had a bit of a run too, 40%, but looking at the chart the downside is still minimal with some interesting potential as they say.
A few too many shares out for my taste but nothings perfect.

    Jun 11, 2014 11:29 PM

Richard if I may do you own or trade aurcana silver? Anyone in here for that matter!
Would really like your opinion as well as doc and cory if this is a reputable company. Ive not been able to do extensive research on it but have done what I can. It seems as one of those 50/50 small caps that if it hits, it can hit big.

    Jun 11, 2014 11:31 PM

There has been tons of dilution with aurcana which im ok with if its for the better of the company long term. But i gotta say to much dilution smells like a crapper sometimes.
    Any feedback here boys?

      Jun 11, 2014 11:59 PM

Generally, dilution is a death knell but I’ll have to look at the company as far as other issues such as reserves, cash flow, liquidity, debt/equity, management, etc. I do not own aurcana and don’t know much about it at this time.

        Jun 11, 2014 11:48 PM
