France has (continued) their recession (actually, a socialist Depression). Whatever will they do, now that they have run off all the non-government-paid millionaires?

For those of that don’t visit France often, not only does it have a work ethic problem compared to the United States, for the most part the whole work force seems to like to take the entire month of July off. I exaggerate, of course, but it sure feels like that when visiting in July.
It is a prime example of a country held to ransom by over-powerful unions, but it is a country held together by optimistic nationalism.

France is the perfect example of the welfare state, ever growing government, minimum wage, maximum working hours per day, and maximum taxation. Welcome to France.

C, you forget Sweden. That country almost seems to work as a socialist state.
I will be flying into Oslo next week to get some updates on Norway and then travelling to Sweden. It’s summer! I usually like to spend summer in Europe.
