I might have missed that link CFS. There is only so much time in a day. I agree that the upside for silver is growing though and energy shortages could be a huge driver. None of us wants to get too crazy about price projections but looking at the data on above ground stocks and how much demand is coming it is easy to get generous. A lot of silver has been coming off the market recently too. The cheaper recycle stuff was first to go and there is a growing realization that silver has the potential to be more valuable than gold itself. That is crazy!

Not crazy at all but you can rest assured that there will be opposition to higher prices. When it comes to a price don’t be shy about naming a price that suits your interests if and when you want to trade. Me, I like the exchange rate between the world economy and real above ground 999 fine silver bullion. It might be enough to do some good.

needs to an extent. Disinformation is everywhere and its the
same on all sites. But this gold bashing here just keeps flowing
like oceans of water. Bird needs his own forum for that.

Not that long ago I posted many times for Matthew to show up here again.
He left for a long time and part of it was due to Bird and critical statements
from low lifes. Andrew posted please return Mathew many times as well.
Quite frankly AL, if posters are going to take over the forum with BS and bash

Many coal producing companies are currently at or near multi year lows.
If you’ve got the time I’d love to hear what you guys think of this sector.
I’m thinking of buying some small parcels of shares as a bit of a speculative bet.

Skeeta, I’ve nibbled on coal stocks and have made some short term profits and losses. I have very tight stops and will not hang with them when they technically breakdown. They’re fundamentals are still poor and I believe they’ll remain that way for awhile. Their future appears in exports. I will continue to follow technicals and attempt to purchase at their bottoms and then hold. Their day will come again when they’ve got their costs under control along with mergers into larger companies. Replacing the guy in the WH wouldn’t hurt either.

Man, you have a lot of energy Al. The was a really interesting commentary and I appreciate you can stay so positive. I sure agree we can all learn something here. I know I do and it often comes from the most unlikely sources.
The future is very troubling to me as it is for others who come to listen in to the interviews on the site. Maybe that is what is behind some of the stress on display because we are all looking for answers about how best to protect ourselves from the economic disturbance that looks inevitable. We cannot afford to doubt ourselves either as time is now getting short.
Gold and silver will be one of the answers. Energy too. That’s why we are here. Buying up beaten down resource stocks is another of the opportunities and we are hearing good tips weekly. So I come here for the same reasons that many others do. We are seeking insights and trying to set a personal course for ourselves to avoid the worst of the pitfalls that lie ahead.
Some of the guests you have on the show are just brilliant and I really don’t know where else we can get the quality of commentary they offer in the daily format hosted by you and Cory. I guess I would say to you…try not to get discouraged by the comments section and the daily scrapping. It is mostly noise and as we all know gold is a pretty emotional subject. Hell, our collective futures are an emotional topic and since we all come with our own varied value systems and beliefs it is no surprise there is some shouting in the pits.
I am convinced we are heading into a deflationary bust with a magnitude not seen since the South Seas Bubble and for the life of me I cannot see a way out before we arrive there. No place is safe when this all unwinds because the asset bubbles are now global in nature which is an historical first. They are even being manifest in poor countries in East Africa.
How can that be? That alone should indicate to us just how distorted the financial system has become across the world when both developed and developing nations suffer the same asset inflation illness together. While we see what many believe to be signs of growing wealth everywhere, I cannot but help believe this is all a mirage that will come back and bite us on the arse one day soon.
But when? We just don’t know that for certain.
The Dow will keep rising until it does not anymore. Homes will keep getting more expensive until they don’t. Bonds will hit a peak and pop. Rates will hit a bottom and rise. The interplay of all these and so many other factors paints a worrisome picture against a backdrop of what is happening in so many other countries all at the same time. But on a cycle basis it strikes me as obvious that we cannot avoid all the usual conclusions each of these bring only now we will likely experience all of them together.
There is therefore not much time left to prepare. I would prefer discussing our options to arguing but what can you do….people are complicated. Anyway, keep up the great work. You and Cory and your guests are providing a terrific service that acts as a guide for those of us out here trying to time the major financial events of our generation. Maybe several generations. These are truly epic days and we do not want to be caught on the wrong side of history as it finally unfolds.

As an aside, I can see that gold and silver are both signaling this morning that they will break down. Right on target too in my view. We have seen this coming for quite awhile already and the daily charts are quite clear in my opinion.
Silver in particular is now showing lower lows and lower highs. Now I can appreciate that is not good news for some people. Our friend HH finds it especially discouraging that I refuse to get on the gold bandwagon and start singing with the choir. But I do indeed have serious reservations and so have expressed them here for the benefit of others who might have less experience with precious metals and perhaps should hear an alternative view of what is still coming.
To my mind another great shorting opportunity now offers itself up. Especially as so many have suddenly gotten long again. As I noted the other day this just has the smell of blood so erring on the side of caution when going long is warranted. I am a bull in disguise though.
There is absolutely no question that both gold and silver will see a tremendous run sometime in the future. I just do not think that time is yet here especially as equity markets keep powering up and the dollar looks to have resumed strengthening.
So it with that in mind I think it best to keep our heads clear about what metals are doing in the near term and we should do our best not to get caught up in the heat of the moment nor fall into the trap of thinking that this time is different.
We are very clearly still in a bear market in precious metals. The charts are damning. Let us not make the same mistakes of the past nor take outsized risks based on emotion and hype. When the smoke finally clears there will be great money to be made but until then this is a traders market best suited to short term bets on the swings and volatility.
So a note to Heavy, I am not so negative on metals as you think. I am however pragmatic and rational where this market is concerned and my track record has been good so far. Lets just keep our heads clear and not fixate on what we *think* gold should do since the market is currently telling us otherwise.

It was a response to the political garbage that gets spewed daily by another poster. The four singers would sing in harmony and a combination of all the voices would seam to create a fifth voice that was simply the sum of the four singers. There was no fifth singer but a fifth voice was present in the room. A collective voice I guess is the easiest way to describe it.
The fifth voice in the case of this blog is only an analogy to the Mamas and Papas “Charlie”. Of course “Charlie” cannot think but seams to have an omnipresence. If you add up all the comments and extract the attitudes and combine them you may end up with a school yard bully IMHO.
