Yeah,Gary is on it. Dollar doing the quadruple top dance and is just languishing before the fall.
At least Gary is humble and swift enough to accept what is and revise his thought process.

LIKE WE SAID…………MANIPULATION causes the TA…..to be worthless………

I think BOB M. has it more correctly……. “gold has sweeping long bottoms,,,and parabolic highs”( not a direct quote , but, close).

      Aug 06, 2014 06:50 AM

Manipulation makes the TA more valuable than ever. One has to know how to use a tool properly to be successful with it, of course, perhaps that’s the difficulty.

Sure beginning to look like the old paradigm is dead and at least for the time being markets will be unpredictable. They will not follow a preestablished pattern. All we really know now is that the unraveling of the worlds economy is speeding up . Gold will seek is true value regardless of what the banksters try to manipulate.

    Aug 06, 2014 06:25 AM

I think the safest thing at the moment – in all markets – is to stand aside and let them do whatever they are doing.

I am not in the know or part of the club so I don’t get the memos each morning on what to buy and sell. These markets could move up slightly today and, bang, tomorrow morning shoot down, down, down.

Nah, as frustrating as it is I will stay on the sidelines as an interested observer.

    Aug 06, 2014 06:35 AM

It’s all noise to me.. The action on volume is so thin that these big players are just toying with the longs. They are still in control and I would highly caution anyone thinking of going higher. To me from what im seeing is suckering more people in. I hope im wrong as I have longs in place but I can’t phantom how many gaps including today’s we have left behind. I truly think this is getting close the mental stress levels they want longs to be in. Everyone is confused as to yesterday down today we are all up. etc etc etc.. Once they feel they have everyone on the wrong side of the trade like currently on gold then bang they will release the hatchet and we will get the final capitulation or buying opportunity many have been waiting for. Patience is the most difficult thing to do. I hope im wrong but my gut is telling me no im not and going against matt’s charts.

      Aug 06, 2014 06:11 AM

I’m not sure what you’re going against, the picture is mixed and I sure don’t like the reversal action. Gold should not be leading.
For those who are light the sector, I did recommend buying very near the lows yesterday even though I was thinking that the HUI would fill its gap, which it could still do.
There is the possibility that silver and the juniors (GDXJ) have bottomed and that gold and GDX will do so soon — which would be a bullish setup.

Matthew……….zerohedge ..had an article written by IBD.., indicating mining stocks have rotated into the top 7 ….The article was a couple of days ago………jerry

          Aug 06, 2014 06:42 AM

          Thanks Jerry, I believe it.

        Aug 06, 2014 06:37 PM

        Matthew,
Im sorry, let me rephrase what I was trying to say. You have very valid points and amazing charts there is no doubt about that my friend! In fact you have been around very long in here and my hat is off to you and guys like bird etc.. Your charts show many things and they paint a very nice picture. I just happened to think that you may be a little early as to time off direction and move. You come across bullish in the short term.. Is that not what I have been reading from your language the past three weeks? Can someone else verify this?

Maybe I got you wrong I have been very busy in and out of here. Trying my best to share with all what im doing.

          Aug 06, 2014 06:13 PM

Hi Glenfidish, very short term, I had been expecting (and hoping) that GDX would fill its gap. Now I’m not so sure, but it still wouldn’t surprise me if it does. You are correct in that I think the sector will turn up before Doc thinks it will.
I just didn’t think that our opinions differed much right now so was fishing for some details about your outlook.
          Cheers!

            Aug 07, 2014 07:16 AM

Same outlook as Doc.. Doc and myself believe 1280 at the very least and I believe 100% the gap at hui 225 will get filled. If that means all other gaps including the gdx vehicle gets filled then so be it :). In the end we are all on the same page. We know that at some point it will go higher. I just happen to believe that way to many gaps left behind combined with thin trading combined with gold/silver ratio not where i want it to be combined with other factors and indicators has me thinking down before up. But in the end if we go up now then we are happy and if it goes down we can buy a truck load. That’s how i see it.

    Aug 06, 2014 06:49 AM

I was just thinking about getting into gdxj at 40 yesterday as it seemed to have corrected enough but missed it.

    Aug 06, 2014 06:55 AM

BLINDSIDED – sounds like what happen to BIRD when he piled on more SHORTS yesterday – What did you say at the 1306 price…ooppss….how did that work out? My point here has and will always be…if you trade these markets you are crazier than a LOON – as in LOONY bird…..get it…:)…….good luck…or just “sit tight and be right”!…One caveat tho – and NOT because I am a ardent DOC fan..but DOC definitely has his s____ together he nailed silver at the approx 19.90 mark..amazing..simply AMAZING!! Plus, I LOVE DOC BEDSIDE MANNER – classy….VERY CLASSY!

      Aug 06, 2014 06:26 AM

SD MARC….who do you think you are anyway. lol. Buying near the top of the precious
      metals market few years back.

You come in here and call Bird a looney. lol….your a funny guy SD MARC.

BTW… are you are trader or a traitor. The answer ?….not a guess.

AL AND CORY ….please enforce some of the derogatory comments especially
name calling to rule abiding posters since the rules have been established.

( please no comments from anyone. Just enforce the rules here. I have no more comments
      whatsover)

        Aug 06, 2014 06:17 AM

NO, I take that back. I do have one comment.

        NOTHING HAS CHANGED !!!

Precious metals will keep climbing that wall of worry. Manipulation ? lol
Then why was gold at $35.00 back in the early 70’s. Manipulation is and
has always been an excuse for investors and analysts to blame the market
instead of their own flawed miscalculated judgment. Thats got me rolling
off my chair. lol..really bustin out laughin…

Here’s another one. I didn’t see that move coming. You’re not suppose to
see it…lol….one of many. Oh…the market timers thinking they can time
each move in and out of gold. HALLERIOUS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last but one of many. When gold reaches 2000 most timers will have not
made anything and many suffering heavy losses.

Nothing has changed in gold market in 40 years. Most think they can out smart
the market. All analyst included. Only to lose money.

NO COMMENTS BUT DON’T BLAME THE MARKET BECAUSE OF IMPATIENCE OR
THE ANAYLSTS THAT WOULD MORE OFTEN THAN NOT FAIL. or manipulation. ? lol

( like I said no comments because Mr. Market has not changed. Won’t be changing
anytime soon either. Comments will not change a thing. Volatility and whipsawed
wild swings are here to stay climbing that wall of worry.)

        Aug 06, 2014 06:57 AM

Ok……..HH, you got me…..that was just a joke…for Birdman..he has been doing real well the last 3 years making money…I have been sitting tight and biting my lip…very painful!
BTW, HH, I have been in this market for seven years – I have been accumulating since gold was $775.00 an ounce……hey, I am a SLOW learner. What can I say…..traitor..hardly! Look at my posts of 3 years past…I have been very consistent about the long term – SECULAR bull market of the PM’s……I will not waiver because I am right and I have the cash flow and resources to hang in there…thank the GOOD Lord.

          Aug 06, 2014 06:48 PM

          HH,
          Your – EGO – precedes you….by a lot…….you must be;_____________use your imagination and creativity.

          Aug 06, 2014 06:24 PM

          SD MARK. …

HA…….if Bird is short I’m sure you callin him a looney
is nothing much of a joke losing money.

At least I wouldn’t be taking it that way.

SD MARC….one way to find out who I am.

Meet me in San Diego. No bueno for you
hiding behind that computer tryin to demoralize
          someone who possibly lost money.

Keep posting SD MARC because I’m bustin
          out laughin at your remarks.

          Come meet up with me…..ha..ha

          You’re makin my day…. hallarious….

          Keep postin…..lol

The part I like the most about your comment about DOC is that he is very, very classy. Add to that that he knows his trade exceedingly well. He’s got it all!

    Aug 06, 2014 06:55 AM

Perhaps Backwardation in gold has caused today’s gap up. Turd Ferguson has documented backwardations with prices spikes on his site but Turk here points gold slipped into backwardation on price decline. This is why $1000 gold will NOT happen due to backwardation.

    http://kingworldnews.com/kingworldnews/KWN_DailyWeb/Entries/2014/8/4_James_Turk_-_Gold_Is_Now_In_Backwardation_-_Whats_Next.html

      Aug 06, 2014 06:25 PM

I think you mean that this is why $1000 gold MAY NOT happen.

“GDXJ was capped by the arc today…” sounds like a line they would say in Star Trek.

“GDXJ was capped by the arc today Captain…”.

“Roger that Mr. Spock. Set phasers to stun!”.

        Aug 06, 2014 06:42 AM

        LOL! Agree.

      Aug 06, 2014 06:53 AM

Hope it’s continued to be capped!

Stock market crash coming… The big banks are preparing a bankrupcy…
    http://www.bloombergview.com/articles/2014-08-06/banks-must-show-they-can-die-quietly

      Aug 06, 2014 06:05 AM

      Thanks Peter

      Aug 06, 2014 06:51 PM

If it’s on Bloomberg it’s a misdirection story of some sort or other.

    Aug 06, 2014 06:55 AM

I am going to sit tight and be right. I stopped trading gold late last year- for the simple reason being that the whole world is falling apart. Like today, I woke up and gold was up $15, and I was looking at the chart yesterday and I was certain that gold would move a little lower. Vey risky trading the markets these days. I tip my hat to those who do.

      Aug 06, 2014 06:06 AM

Yeh Chris, they have to be very good or willing to lose a ton of capital!

        Aug 06, 2014 06:36 AM

Up until late last year you could trade the metals (If you wanted to) and could be fairly certain in your predictions. But starting this year the metals have been very volatile, more so than the previous years. There is too much going on; you just don’t know how the metals will react to different situations.

    Aug 06, 2014 06:33 AM

Just from listening too all of the people on the audios yesterday. You all appear to be stroking each other, and licking each others N__ts.

      Aug 06, 2014 06:07 PM

Maybe them, but not me Peter!

    Aug 06, 2014 06:34 PM

HH, do you think that Bird is above laughing at others’ losses? That’s rhetorical, no reply desired.

      Aug 06, 2014 06:13 PM

      Matthew,

I already considered that. Regardless, we our to be more respectful
and I believe name calling is demoralizing and should never happen.

So far everyone has been in good conduct. Anyway, its going over
the line …name calling. This is a new improved forum and so far
its a major turn around. I think its excellent.

Bird has been very respectful following ethical guidelines
      in the new improved forum.

I like the new forum. No time to post but it’s not trashed
up. I do not want to see the old forum resurrect itself.

ALL BAD NEWS. I hated the old forum.

    Aug 06, 2014 06:43 PM

Enough said Cory and Big Al: (sorry, I got roped in by my own “stupidness”) I am done…with HH threads….

    Aug 06, 2014 06:45 PM

Sorry BIG AL and Cory… I am done with HH threads…Got roped in by my own “stupidness”……

    Aug 06, 2014 06:23 PM

HERE’S WHATS REALLY EXCITING AND EVEN THRILLING.

This is the real kicker. When gold does kick off the volatility
will get nasty. What we are seeing now is just a warm up.
Traders are really getting confused on other boards right
now. Lot of them are suffering losses.

Not wishing anyone bad but why do they insist they can beat
the market. Volatility is not as bad right now as its going to get.

IT IS AMUSING AND ENTERTAINING TO READ THESE BOARDS
especially when the volatility gets nasty. Analyst’s too. All these
subscribers losing out of the trade and misguided believing Mr.
    Guru will make them money.

UNFORTUNATLY SHORT TERM MARKET TIMING WILL FAIL.

Gold market hasn’t changed in decades. Looking forward to
the action as its highly comical and entertaining.

Decided to not post anymore on any boards because you can’t
lead a horse to water anyway, they won’t drink. They love the
poison too much thinking they can have short cuts to fortunes.

Life doesn’t work that way. Not going to work with gold or a high
paying career with doctoral degrees using short cuts.

ITS A FANTASY. Believing in the tooth fairy. Real loonie tunes !!!

AND ITS VERY FUNNY. They refuse to be patient, they are anxious
and the worst one they want it now…greedy.

Odds are 90 percent fall like dominos losing or making very little or nothing.
The odds could be even higher but its a tragedy when they could have made
    fortunes.

ITS THE GOLD COMEDY CLUB. coming to a theater near you. …lol

I know I will be …lol…. have no choice. I’m paying my dues.

Unlike most, no short cuts. Cha ching $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Unless you believe in Santa Claus…..lol oh happy day !!!! can you spare a dime buster…HA
