The US Gold in Fort Knox is Secure, Gone, or Irrelevant?

August 19, 2014

The argument is made. If all the gold is gone from Fort Knox, does it really matter? Will this have any impact on the market?

The author says “Sadly, it matters to very few people, and the world will continue to print many more paper and digital dollars, euros, pounds, and yen. Long live the value of paper, or so we should hope, since the inevitable reckoning and proper valuation of all paper assets, when it occurs, will be ugly, distressing, and dangerous. The game won’t last forever, but governments and central bankers will do whatever it takes to maintain the illusion of the solvency of paper assets, the status quo, the global bond bubble, and the global currencies bubbles.”

      Much respect for Bill Holter.

In a time when most people want to suck their thumb and believe what they’re told, and avoid truth like a vampire avoids light, he thinks clearly and speaks his mind.

    Good ole Bill Holter. ……

Last 3 years he’s still got too much mickey in his coffee.

He’ll be right just like all the other broken clocks out there.

Bill’s not alone. But he sure has a good damn pitch.

All conveniently connected to Franklin Coins. Hmmmm…

But you know, he might be right this time. Just like that clock.

I served at Fort Knox in 1971 for 15 months on return from Vietnam. While I was there I had occasion to meet several base truck drivers that were retired Korean and WWII Veterans. Several of these vets told me that for 3 weeks around the clock they transported semi flat beds loaded with stacks of gold. They were escorted by huey cobra helicopters to Louisville Airport where they were loaded on the big airforce transports and flown to Europe. THATS WHERE MOST OR ALL THE GOLD WENT!!!!

Steve, thanks for the review………There is also, mention by the then, X Sentator from Kentucky , that confirms the same.(I mentioned the same several months ago.)

CAN ANYONE SAY………….BYE, BYE………if there was gold in FT. KNOX, there would be no problem showing what is in the vault…..LAST sighting ..1951, come on this is LOGIC., ….extend and pretend.

One has to be blind and stupid not to realize much gold was leased out to suppress price levels.
It is clear it was never sold to raise money, because printing money is easier, but price has been suppressed to pull the wool over the eyes of some of the public.

Clearly ISIL consists of sub-human barbarians who have no appreciation of history or tolerance to others.

There is no gold in Fort Knox. There might be a lot of wooden blocks painted yellow. Or pictures from the 1950s colorized and kept at the front desk as brochures.

I was at Ft Knox in mid 1970 for basic training-never saw anything then but artillery flying over the barracks.

But then Nixon closed the gold window in Aug 71.
