Nancy Pelosi: Civilization ‘In Jeopardy’ If GOP Takes Senate

WOW, HOW ABOUT THIS ONE!

On the one hand, California U.S. Rep. Nancy Pelosi claims that Democrats are not “fear-mongers;” on the other hand, she believes civilization is doomed if Republicans take control of the Senate from Democrats in November.

The former speaker of the House made those dramatic, incongruous statements on “Real Time with Bill Maher,” which aired live from Washington, D.C. Friday.

Maher asked Pelosi about recent polling which shows that the GOP is likely to take over the upper chamber and asked, given gridlock in Washingon, why it matters that Democrats keep control.

“It would be very important for the Democrats to retain control of the Senate,” Pelosi told Maher. “Civilization as we know it today would be in jeopardy if the Republicans win the Senate.”

Democrats currently hold 53 seats in the Senate. Republicans have 45. Two independents caucus with Democrats.

Maher asked about voter turnout for Democrats, which he asserted was too low to carry the party in the mid-term.

“Nobody comes about to vote to say ‘thank you,’” Maher said. “The people who get health care now — they’re the people least likely to vote. The people who come out to vote are the angry people.”

“That’s true,” said Pelosi. “Fear is a motivator, and we are not fear-mongers. The Democrats are messengers of hope, and that’s what we will continue to be.”

There is a prime example of a scumbag, liar politician. In it for what she can get out of it, even if she destroys San Francisco, California or the whole US.

She’s bou in public.ght and paid for by unions (teachers union and others) and motivated by how much profit she can create for her husband’s and family real estate.
She lies more often than tells the truth

She certainly does generate a lot of negative commentary from conservatives.

She is not defeatable. California is a sanctuary state, over-run by illegals who vote.
The state is bankrupt, and losing tax-payers at at incredible rate.

By Kevin Bogardus – 06/15/11 04:46 PM EDT
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) saw her net worth rise 62 percent last year, cementing her status as one of the wealthiest members of Congress.

Pelosi was worth at least $35.2 million in the 2010 calendar year, according to a financial disclosure report released Wednesday. She reported a minimum of $43.4 million in assets and about $8.2 milion in liabilities.
      Source: The Hill.

I believe much of her wealth was developed via her husband in real estate, using her connections. E.g. the new high speed rail link recently passed will increase her net worth probably by an order of magnitude, because it will put property owned by her & husband in easy commuting distance instead of currently being well outside commuting distance.

    She’s a corrupt clown.

You can say she is a clown after she gets that red nose, after a couple of drinks….

Jerry, a 1000 a month barely qualifies her as alcoholic if she shares it around with her friends. It’s peanuts.

I believe that I understand her intellect and her motives. I simply have to completely disagree with her. I would say that I disagree with her even more that I disagree with Obama.

AL, you have to be nice……..but, did you see how she acted when she received the gavel ,,which was 10 times the size of a judge’s gavel…………She looked like a clown, acted like a clown….danced around like a clown…….Spoke like clown…….

Valentino? Who knows, after a few get tied on anything is possible. What’s a few dollars in drinks anyway? You go out to the bar, drop 200 bucks on highballs, a plate of Natchos and a pack of smokes and the night is done. If I was a politician of her stature I would need a thousand a night minimum!

    CIVILIZATION IN JEOPARDY
Sorry people but civilization is gone and so is America. The barbarians crept in back in the 19th century and slowly but surely took over and killed civilization and the America everyone admired. How do you get back what barbarians stole? You have to fight them and kill every last one of them then you have to guard against other barbarians coming in and taking over again. That is the price of civilization and freedom.

    Sep 13, 2014 13:48 PM

    Nancy Pelosi,

What a utterly detestable, unconscionable, unfit and unqualified political hack. A cancerous growth that can’t be removed.

I simply shutter in horror knowing that there are about 530 of the 535 sellouts inhabiting and infestating Washington DC that think and act just like her. Even more stunning is that the Muppet’s of America voted this incompetent figure into office and continues to do so on a recurring basis.

There’s nothing that’s turning this rudderless drifting ship of state around until mother-nature the world pushes the reset button.

I am curious V, how do you feel about the proposed action of the president as regards to the Middle East. Do you think that he is trying to show the world that the US is still the savior of all?

        Sep 14, 2014 14:13 PM

        Al,

I know you are serious, and trying to be serious with your question, but there can be no answer because everything and everyone involved in the very topic you purpose to be answered is an abject sociopathic fraud and liar that facilitates and fosters this targeted agenda.

The entire degeneration and social collapse of the Middle-east construct is a gigantic calculated fabricated treasonous fraud, completely bases on lies and misdirection. It’s genesis was created by a Anglo-American centric criminal class and as a result of those acts, its off-springs incarnation of hate and slaughter now threatens the world.

When, an individual chooses to harbor at the very core of their belief system core thoughts based on a false paradigm, fabrication, lies and fraud there can be no real answer to questions being ask because, as it relates to the ME the entire ME debacle was based and born and facilitated on unconscionable lies and fraud from cradle to grave at the highest levels of our nations politcal class.

Obama is a mere figure-head at the top of the rabbit hole capstone, a useful political puppet used for misdirection, blame, providing the shadow elite overhead cover and deniable plausibility.

Until you choose to acknowledge the rabbit hole exists and attempt to see how deep it goes, you will never find the truth. Of course you only find the truth if you really want to know the truth.

    Bob,

Its all a giant game of illusion and deceit, and the public laps it up like a bad David Copperfield magic act.

Nothing will stop Demons and Reptiles that masquerade as U.S. representatives from staining the filthy streets of D.C. and the world with blood and dispare.

Its now out of our hands Bob, the sociopaths that captured our nations political and banking apparatus put this nation on totalitarian cruise control a longtime ago.

Only divine intervention and the international communities mythical reset button will stop whats coming.

    I’m not optimistic.

    Sep 14, 2014 14:51 AM

Maybe bob these guys are beneath contempt. I’ve long held such a view of ex PM Tony Blair. Why? Because he seems to have sold out to filthy lucre, which so quickly becomes the all-devouring deity, ready to take powerful people down the road to perdition.
However just this past week the Irish arch-Protestant and later politician Revd Dr Ian Paisley has died aged 88. If ever there was a man who, in his earlier life, inspired loathing for his devil-spitting curses, it was Paisley. Arguably there were several decades during which the man seemed to be an all-out sociopath, only in love with himself and his brand of Christianity.
But the miracle (although to this day not a few would call it a ‘sell-out’) was when he and Sinn Fein’s master of munitions Martin McGuinness drew up a power-sharing compact for Northern Ireland in 2006. From then onwards such became the friendship between the two men that they were dubbed ‘the chuckle brothers’, whereby a sort of peace has continued in that province to the present day!
I hold no brief for countless politicians. Some are detestable and can ruin people’s lives for decades, if not centuries. But oft times I’m inclined to say ‘there but for the grace of God go you or I’. For if given power and wealth, who knows what it can do someone’s soul?
Of course Nancy Pelosi sounds repulsive. But in the end all these people must answer to a higher power and who, perhaps unbeknown to them are already living in their own hell. For all his amassed wealth Tony Blair often strikes me as a man already suffering his own personal torment. Of course he’ll bluster and blather on. But sooner or later socio’psychopaths must face the conscience they have chosen to repress for too long. For yes, I do believe that even psychos have a conscience that one day will find them out!
So if I dare to offer any advice it is this: Of course politics is a giant game of delusion and deceit’, the majority of whose partakers can so easily end up as fools. Yet in the greater scheme of thing such fools will always flounder and end up in a hell of their own making. So don’t get too consumed with rage.
Rage was the route Paisley took over many years, but which in his case and in his twilight years ended in some sort of remarkable reconciliation.
    Best, A

They are all lining their pockets to such an extant that you won’t find any whistleblowers amongst them and who knows what else goes on in those private booze parties. That’s when reality is much more interesting than any Hollywood movie could portray.
