Gold Losing Ground in Other Assorted Currencies

September 18, 2014

It is always interesting to see how gold stacks up against other currencies as well as the US dollar. Trader Dan posted his thoughts today. Here are a couple charts he analyses…

Scottish was very high and close.
First of 32 voting districts to give result in about 1 hour.
Full result expected within 6 hours, with some delay arising from fog in outer islands.

Alibaba priced at $68 for trading to start tomorrow.

I omitted the word “vote” in above post.

    Good ole Dan Norcini,

A reasonable, responsible, realistic and truthful voice in a sea of babbling unethical charlatans and self-serving PM opportunist. I was there to witness from day one, the former duo on JSMineset.

I’m still stunned to this day by the Dan Norcini and Jim Sinclair split and how differently they view the gold “to the moon” and “buy buy buy” all the time camp.

Dan is surely a highly ethical straight shooter and very solid technician that values the truth over BS, honest analysis over false promises and fluff, and was no-longer willing to just regurgitate the nonsensical one-sided PM bull market banter that was required to stay in Jim’s good graces.

I have read multiple times, Jim Sinclair say Dan Norcicni was the best gold market technician he had ever seen in the business. Now, neither will speak each others name in a public forum or blog.

My hats off to Dan for snapping himself out of a group-think trance years ago and willing to forgo a friendship in an effort to try and provide desperately needed balance and unbiased market based commentary on a sector in drastic need of more balance and truth.

Gold to the moon…V….gold to the moon.

It must and it will. The USA is tacking on
one more trillion in debt in 2014.

Consumer debt is well past recognition
      point.

Food, shelter and medical costs are through
      the roof.

Gold to the moon…V…..gold to the moon.

        Sep 18, 2014 18:47 PM

        Sorry HH,

I’m looking for serious content and serious conversation from other like minded folks.

I’m not looking to be entertained by snappy meaningless soundbites.

          Sep 18, 2014 18:09 PM

          OK…V…

However your Dr. Seuss stories regarding trader Dan
is not exactly thoroughly educational pointing the way
in any direction for gold itself.

In fact, it doesn’t say much of anything besides gossip
and doesn’t tell me anything where gold might be concerned.

Where is gold going V ? At least my short notes in my post
          tells part of the story.

Yours doesn’t V. Its all gossip. There is nothing in your
comments that gives me much to go on.

Sinclair is a pumper and trader Dan is a hero. At these prices
this time it will be the other way around.

OK….BTW..all you do is complain. Its not going to make you any money.

            Sep 19, 2014 19:24 AM

Must look serious HH. Remember we’re dealing with Harvard and Yale academics here! lol.

          Sep 18, 2014 18:10 PM

I am will you Vortex. KWN also does not seem to have Dan Norcini on anymore.

            Sep 19, 2014 19:38 AM

Regardless of what, Dan was bullish at the high and bearish at low now. He always talks from both sides of his mouth, this makes his analysis useless. This is the time to promote gold. 1200 is a lot less risky than 1900. There are very few good investors left after they are filtered again and again by major events. I can only recommend Rick Rule and David Morgan since they have been consistent. In longer run even Sinclair will be proven right since gold will go up and World governments are printing like mad.

            Sep 20, 2014 20:50 AM

Dan Norcini had a comment on his site saying that he got all kinds of awful flak from the extremists in the gold and silver space if he made any kind of bearish target (on KWN I guess). So he split, saying that it just was not worth it. The bear market will be over when all those extremists are flushesd and end up with zero money. I don’t waste any time even visiting KWN. It is total junk. I realised this too late really.

Hey “billionaire Eric Sprott!” How’s your $2000 gold forecast by the end of 2014 doing? HAHAHAHAHA! How to turn a bullionaire into a millionaire, eh?

      Sep 18, 2014 18:53 PM

“A reasonable, responsible, realistic and truthful voice in a sea of babbling unethical charlatans and self-serving PM opportunist.”

Boy, the unsuspecting reader could find himself sucked in by such a vortex of opinion. Do you think you’re qualified to pass such judgement? I agree with your praise of Dan, but if you’re implying that Sinclair is an “unethical charlatan” Dan himself would disagree with you.
It seems to me that you are pretty hard on those with views that you don’t understand. When big-picture investors get bullish about a bargain, you seem to think they are irresponsible pumpers. Why? Obviously because their approach makes no sense to you.
Like so many here, you are very bearish and vocal right at the lows, when you should be buying. Here’s bit of your bearishness from December 30th, right before GDXJ rallied 57% very quickly and quality picks did even better…

      On December 30, 2013 at 11:54 pm,
      Vortex says:
      Bill,
I believe that a massive deflationary wave is about to slam the world as we move into and midway portion and through 2014 – 2015.
….People won’t be buying worthless mining stocks, they will be freaking out wondering where the hell their going to get the next meal to eat or the money for next months rent.

        Matthew,

My qualifications to comment are of no importance, I’m a nobody in the big scheme of things. My content is an opinion.

Do I consider Jim Sinclair a Charlatan? Not at all, I actually like Jim Sinclair a great deal and still follow his work everyday at JSMineset as well as Dan’s material at his website.

I do find your propensity to save past blog opinion pieces of folks like me that post here quite remarkable but strange. It takes a great deal of dedication and conviction to save all of this material to your hard drive by placing so much importance on an anonymous blogger and a loser goofball like me.

Oh well, your doing good work and you are to be commended for your efforts to keep those cut and paste proficiency skills in tip top shape.

        Take Care

          Sep 18, 2014 18:57 PM

          BTW….V

Doesn’t it get hot in that gold perma bear suit this time
of year. Regardless V, Matthew is a great asset here and
he’s not only very insightful but highly educated/experienced
in the precious metals markets. For the most part he’s a very
humble guy and pleasant person to communicate with. Talented
and brilliant. Maybe he intimidates some here but I appreciate
he’s presence on this board. When we can embrace talent and
brilliance of the company of someone like Matthew we can all
benefit. He brings a lot in and doesn’t take anything out.

Sorry V but I believe only losers get intimated and consumed
by envy. I will now rest my case because Matthew is a great
asset to a forum like this. He’s one of a kind !!!

            Sep 18, 2014 18:17 PM

Too bad the same can’t be said about you, HH.

            Sep 18, 2014 18:22 PM

            HH,

let me make this short and sweet. I am not a PM bear, I am an avid PM investor with large positions in both the physical and mining equities markets right now!

I happen to agree with everything you just said and never implied or stated on any level at anytime that Matthew wasn’t an asset to this site. What even made you think such a thing or the need to comment on the subject?

Additionally, I’m not really sure how being a loser correlates with being intimidated and consumed with envy and what is your point. Maybe someone can explain those dynamics for those who care.

There are some very excitable imaginations that over-react around here from time to time. Relax man, I’m not the bogeyman nor your enemy!

            Sep 18, 2014 18:30 PM

Oh look who the cat dragged in…JMILLER…..YOUR ABSOLUTELY RIGHT.

Like James said all I am is an empty suit.

Ha haaaa maybe not on this board but in
the real world mIller…life is good.

However, miller it takes a real guy
to know that not a blogger on some
            board.

Whats wrong miller, is gold offensive.

You just have a bug stuck up your arse.

            Ever since you’ve been posting.

You sound like you’re sawed off most of the time.

You are, aren’t you ?..don’t bother…I know you are.

            Sep 18, 2014 18:38 PM

            HH,

I knew that would get you upset.

            Sep 18, 2014 18:40 PM

            Well sure V.

No one ever admits being a gold bear. That’s OK though. I just
like posting the facts regarding golds future. You on the other
hand complain about the gold community and no real facts for
the opportunity in this market. Its always negative pitch.

Keep pitchin V, but I’m not listening. Never mind me metals
are selling at historical lows compared to goods and services.

Thanks for your comments V. We are civil and all of us will never all agree.

OK…. now V…..gold to the moon.

            Sep 18, 2014 18:47 PM

            JMILLER…not upset.

You fascinate me more than anything how you
love to get on the bad side of someone for no
            particular reason.

Its weird and I laugh because its loonie tune behavior.

Ha haaaaaa miller…..you call that a bug a boo !!!!!

That’s what’s funny miller. Thanks for the entertainment. lol

            Sep 18, 2014 18:52 PM

            HH,

            Your welcome.

            Sep 18, 2014 18:02 PM

Enjoy the rest of your evening j miller.

Your posts are always a pleasure.

Catch ya on the rebound. :◆} Lets do it again.

            Sep 19, 2014 19:26 AM

Matthew’s Harvard and Yale all rolled into one – a genuine asset!

            Sep 19, 2014 19:28 AM

Couldn’t agree more J.Miller – HH is awesome!!!!

          Sep 18, 2014 18:54 PM

Funny Vortex, you have as many comments saved as I do; see that little search feature at the top right of the page?!
Your posts are awfully high and mighty for someone who considers himself a nobody. With more facts, fewer assumptions, and an interest in accuracy, you, too, can become a somebody.

            Sep 18, 2014 18:20 PM

One more thing, you shouldn’t call yourself a loser. It’s not healthy and I know it’s not true!

          Sep 18, 2014 18:38 PM

V is a good guy and so is Jmiller.

Nothing wrong with stepping in the
ring and having a little fun.

However, let all try and realize PM’s
are selling at historical lows compared
          to everything else.

Best to you V and Jmiller.

            Sep 18, 2014 18:39 PM

Look at the gold price fall….James. ..at this hour anyway.

Maybe its time to leave town for good.

Bottom boys won’t be satisfied until
            they have everyones stash.

Price can’t recover until you guys….

            CAPITULATE !!!!!

Not going to mention names you know who you are.

I know its corrupt but they want it all.

In fact, that’s what we have taking place.

Their after every last ounce they can get their hands on.

Once their done the price will soar. You can bag that one.

Just don’t let them bag our gold/silver.

This is what they want. Its written all over this beast.

            Sep 19, 2014 19:34 AM

Really enjoy reading your reasoned views Vortex,
            Please keep them coming.
Don’t be chased away by the perma bull fanatics.
Every commodity eventually shines….its only a matter of timing.

But some here think gold should rise forever in the market….no matter what !

HH………I AGREE…”Their after every last ounce they can get their hands on”

ANYONE GOT any info on the $29 Trillion the Central Banks have purchased in the STOCK MARKET……………..I think gold is a safe bet……………IMHO. …

            Sep 19, 2014 19:25 AM

            BTW…Jmiller……been reading the bible lately.

You know…its nice to be nice. Unfortunately
we all fall short. Especially me jmiller.

I think you like pushing buttons. I think we all
do sometimes. Little humor and beings facetious.

Jmiller, I just don’t understand why you don’t humor
your comments to degree not to be so rigid.

There by the other person is not so offended.
