Well perhaps the “buy the dippers” were just waiting for the release of the FOMC meeting minutes.
Looks like it – especially when the Fed was even more forceful in showing its displeasure over the strong $ than I was expecting.

Hey Chris. Major outside day today in GDX GDXJ and I imagine a vast majority in anything gold or silver related. Huge volume as well. Big boing or big bottom?? Big day for my JNUG buy yesterday at close. Thanks so much for sharing your views here, learning lots.
Like I say on the closing comments, I saw many stocks move 20% plus from their lows earlier today to the close. Looks like the Fed was scared even more s**tless than I’d thought they were!
The Fed can’t let Gold and Silver go up either. All of the physical inventories have been raided in GLD, Comex, and Shanghai. Where is GLD going to buy as the price goes up? If prices go up, I see a scramble to buy physical which is going to accelerate the move up. This is what happens in price fixing, supply and demand get out of whack.
