But, on the positive side others have purchased some gold.
There are close to 200 hundred countries in the world Jerry but fewer than 10 Central Banks are adding gold in any volume worthy of consideration. Far too much is being made of the ones who do buy and add especially as you consider all the ones who do not. The list is short but includes China, India, Russia, Turkey, Venezuela, Kazakhstan, Philippines, South Korea and Indonesia.

I’m not one of those who wants oil to go higher or thinks it will be $100 in a year, but I do think that $68 to $75 can happen in a year to 18 months.
It’s interesting that OIL:GLD reversed after finally reaching a significant 38.2% Fibonacci fan line (green arrow):

Note that the oil ETF is down 91% versus the gold ETF in just 6 years.
For those who like to trade assets against other assets (in order to leave manipulated man-made currency risk out of the equation), now would be a good time to trade SOME gold for oil.
As you can see on the following chart, the wind is at gold’s back and the gold-oil ratio could see 33 or even higher, but it IS at a 27 year high versus oil (a once in 27 year opportunity).

My GDXJ 60 minute chart still says sell the rallies while my daily chart says buy the dip. That’s preferable to the other way around and both are improving.
This would be a good spot (29.35ish) to buy protective puts if you’re worried about the Fed tomorrow.

No, its not that I did not see your post. I think the problem is just information overload. And my system is not always the best. A bunch of scribbled notes in a binder and sometimes I never get back to things that are important. Don’t you feel sometimes you cannot keep up with all the data coming at us? The days are short but the streaming lines of zeros’ and one’s seem to flow on endlessly and the majority are like water over the dam.

Its a daily walk and fight. To be honest I consider myself
fortunate if I make it. Many think they will but won’t.
