The Week The Fed Loses “Patience” ?
I know it is counterintuitive but the correlation is the only one that holds up historically. There’s absolutely no correlation between inflation and gold, or the dollar and gold. Gold has historically correlated extremely well with the Fed Funds Rate.

A double post, and double your pleasure with doublemint gum.

If the Hoosiers can get past Wichita St. they will go all the way.
Doc, what should we do with our ANV which has fallen from over $40 to 10 cents ?

      Mar 16, 2015 16:29 PM

Bonzo , are you an IU GRAD…………J……….

        Mar 16, 2015 16:18 PM

Yes, I got my master’s degree at I.U. and my B.A. at Rice. Rice was tougher but I.U. was more fun.

          Mar 16, 2015 16:34 PM

Ditto on IU…….BS 71 for me……………..Bloomington is a great town.

            Mar 16, 2015 16:35 PM

I started I.U. grad school in the fall of ’71, which is when Bobby Knight came too. Mark Spitz and Jane Pauley were there too. Bloomington was wonderful and I.U. was so beautiful. I haven’t been there for over 20 years and wonder what Bloomington is like now. Go, I.U.

            Mar 17, 2015 17:40 AM

            What a hoot……..I had a friend who dated Spitz…..

            Mar 17, 2015 17:43 AM

The college has changed a lot in 20 years…….a lot of the FRATS are gone , the drive by the library has changed…..not the same as in 71………….best……………..j

            Mar 17, 2015 17:45 AM

Basketball is not the same as when Bobby was there…….

            Mar 17, 2015 17:02 AM

How has Bloomington changed? Is Nick’s still there?

            Mar 17, 2015 17:56 AM

I have not been there in 5 years…….
The last time I was there they had torn down my old Frat house….,
THE old frat row…is further out, and most of the old house that
were down by the old stadium where they run the Little 500 bike race, are gone.

            Mar 17, 2015 17:01 AM

I wonder what Eigenmann Hall, the grad dorm where i lived, is like now. It was wonderful when I was there, but that was over 40 years ago. Is the Delta Gamma house still beside the Jordan River in the middle of the campus?

            Mar 17, 2015 17:02 PM

That is the part of the campus that they have screwed up……..the area between the new (1970) library and Third ST. ….I think the DG HOUSE IS GONE, if my memory serves me correctly…

            Mar 17, 2015 17:09 PM

What is funny, Remember when the only time IU FOOTBALL went to the ROSE BOWL, I was a sophomore, and I thought they went to the Rose Bowl all the time,,,,,,,he,he,
what is more funny, …my frat brothers had tickets , because some of the guys were on the football team,…. and asked me if I wanted to go…..I said no, THat if would catch it next time…….THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN THERE SINCE, ….

            Mar 17, 2015 17:38 PM

I’m sorry to hear the DG house is gone. I hope they have not ruined the lovely walk along the Jordan River I used to take between Eigenmann and Ballantine Hall. I wonder if the Student Union has changed much. I loved the old lounges with the big fireplaces in the winter. I’m sorry I missed the Rose Bowl. Johnny Pont came over to Eigenmann one evening to visit with the grad students and seemed very nice. Bobby Knight refused our invitation.

    IRELAND………………Noonan buys gold………….zerohedge.

      Mar 16, 2015 16:40 PM

Irish finance minister dumps stocks buys gold.

        Mar 17, 2015 17:07 AM

Because the Irish are so lucky and have proven they make the right moves in the markets, banking, debt accumulation, deficit spending and all the rest. Seriously Jerry, don’t look to Ireland for insights on anything. The country is one of the worst basket cases infused with so many errors in financial management they are now a complete joke.

          Mar 17, 2015 17:59 AM

Seriously,,,,,,,,,,,,I thought Irish would get a kick out of it………….But, since, zerohedge put it out…….I find it comforting that the Irish might be putting some
fire in their belly……..and Piss on the Queen, or so to speak.

          Mar 17, 2015 17:01 AM

But, then again my grandmother was part Irish……………

          Mar 17, 2015 17:03 AM

and since you live on the dark continent , and messaging is slow, I will take that into account………….he,he……………appreciate you comments……..

    Calling Gordon Brown….
I see the Europeans just gave the nod to China.
It reminds me of Brown’s Bottom but this would be the Fed’s Flop.
