Winter Meeting

March 25  |  The University Club

The Committee for Monetary Research & Education is pleased to announce that its upcoming meeting on March 25 will feature a conversation between Paul Volcker and John Browne.

Mr. Volcker is a former Chairman of the Federal Reserve and is widely credited with ending the inflation of the 1970s.  John Browne is a former British MP, advisor to Margaret Thatcher, and Vice-Chairman of the UKIP party.

The keynote speaker will be: Thomas Hoenig, Vice-Chairman of the FDIC.  George Selgin, of the CATO Institute will also present.

The meeting will begin at 6:00 PM on March 25 at The University Club in New York City (1 West 54th Street).

    That would be a great dinner to attend, I would like to hear Volker’s views in particular and if someone who attends hopefully from KER could give us an update that would certainly be very informative and interesting. DT
