Bob……..Zombieland is where you go after you get the credit card bill for going to Disneyland.

      Apr 07, 2015 07:32 PM

      You talking Orlando?

        Apr 07, 2015 07:09 PM

Well Orlando is Disneyworld, and California has Disneyland…. Soon they’ll have Disney Moon. All the kids will want to go to the biggest amusement park on the Moon!

          Apr 07, 2015 07:12 PM

Did not realize there was a difference#

            Apr 07, 2015 07:22 PM

Disneyland used to have the Matterhorn roller-coaster, and Disneyworld has all the other parks likes Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and the Disney water parks (Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon)…..but they all send you to the same place once you get the credit card bill ………Zombieland.

          Apr 07, 2015 07:15 PM

With the stock market set to head to the moon, and bonds heading to the moon, and gold bugs predicting it’s prices going to the moon, then Disney better get going or there won’t be any room left on the moon for their out of the world entertainment.

            Apr 07, 2015 07:42 PM

Good point Shad. Maybe after that and I spy a nice slack area of water with lily pads and sticks running all through it, I can fish it in peace without any jet skiers left around to bother me?

            Apr 07, 2015 07:50 PM

We can only hope for some peace and the Sea of Tranquility may be a good spot to set up a fishing spot.

    Apr 07, 2015 07:47 PM

Good perspective from Avi as per usual. I agree that the S&P could go 150 points higher, that gold could pop a little longer here this month, but should come under pressure next month, and likely will test the Nov low of 1130 support and head lower.

I haven’t completely ruled out the Novemberists and 79ers theory that we already had our low and are moving up, because we haven’t violated that level yet. Right now I am going to enjoy the counter-trend move in PMs for the next week or two.

      Apr 07, 2015 07:51 PM

CNBC….is still pushing the stocks along with the other stations, and the sheeple do not know the difference…..And Warren and the gang have to do something, and the Fed will accommodate……Stocks are going higher, because no one expects them to.

      Apr 07, 2015 07:34 PM

Thete is an advantage With my level of technical ignorance, I can sleep at night, Shad!

        Apr 07, 2015 07:52 PM

Sleep…..what is that? I thought that is why coffee and tea were invented?

With friends like Chris Temple, Rick Ackerman, Gary Savage, Doc Postma, Cory Fleck, and Avi Gilburt you don’t need to be a technical wizard, you just have listen to the Korelin Economic Report daily editorials. There is more technical wisdom on this site that 10 other sites.

Thanks for all that you and all the contributors do Big AL!

          Apr 07, 2015 07:13 PM

I am having a ball Shad!

      Apr 07, 2015 07:11 PM

I do think we’ll end the year higher in PMs though after we get the final washout and end the 4 year Bear market in Gold.

    Apr 07, 2015 07:57 PM

Sorry, but I have to disagree with Avi on metals.

      Apr 07, 2015 07:15 PM

I do too Bird. But that is the beauty of this site.

        Apr 07, 2015 07:20 PM

I am not alone. That’s good enough for me, Al.

Bring your videos over there if you have any good ones on the evil Monsanto.

I don’ t get it either, Franky!

    Apr 07, 2015 07:46 PM

The Fed can’t raise barriers against speculation, if the markets start going parabolic that means more money is being found for speculative purposes. If the Feds member banks don’t want to join in, a corporation could easily put their surplus cash out on call at 5 or 6 per cent without doing it through a member bank. If the markets go way up or way down at this juncture The Fed authorities are beaten. They can only keep the calm for a short while longer, either way it is the calm before the storm, up or down. DT

    Apr 07, 2015 07:55 PM

    Hey Bird,

What’s you current take on metals and miners?

    Apr 07, 2015 07:56 PM

Well, I also disagree on metals.

    From a technical view:
If the November low (1132) holds, price will go up.
    http://www.screencast.com/users/tuamotu/folders/GLD/media/20653f92-5dbf-4f4b-bf0e-9d84965baffc

Fundamentally, my thinking is the gold price will stay at the AISC level plus $100 which is about $1,050 to 1,150. This is the strong support that allows mines to survive. If this support is breached then production will start to go down rapidly and mines will close because they will mine at a loss, hence technical support.
I would say that gold may be neutral around $1,200. I believe gold will eventually trend up probably in 2016.

      Apr 07, 2015 07:56 PM

      Good chart Gabriel.

It still remains to be seen if the 1132 Nov. low will be tested, but my concern is that it likely won’t hold if the dollar surges in May/June. If it breaks down then $1044 is my first target of support. I do agree with you on how lower prices will affect production, but I wouldn’t expect a dip below 1132 to last very long (2-4 weeks).

My best guesstimate is that gold will end its 4 year Bear market in about a month or two and then start climbing higher towards year end. 2016 should definitely be a bull year for the PMs.

I find it interesting that the CFTC can charge Kraft with price fixing of wheat and yet completely ignore JPMorgan’s action in precious metals.

Remember Obama promising “The most open Administration ever”

I have been following whether the Federal Government could shut down the internet, when I came across info on closing down the mobile phone system,
On the face of it, this could be reasonable…..So why the H*ll does the administration refuse to give protocol triggers and general information?
Why does it go to court to keep details secret?

Why should I trust the Government that spies secretly on its citizens for 17 years?

Court mulls revealing secret government plan to cut cell phone service
Feds: SOP 303 mobile-phone kill-switch policy would endanger public if disclosed.

A federal appeals court is asking the Obama administration to explain why the government should be allowed to keep secret its plan to shutter mobile phone service during “critical emergencies.”

The Department of Homeland Security came up with the plan—known as Standing Operating Procedure 303—after cellular phones were used to detonate explosives targeting a London public transportation system.

SOP 303 is a powerful tool in the digital age, and it spells out a “unified voluntary process for the orderly shut-down and restoration of wireless services during critical emergencies such as the threat of radio-activated improvised explosive devices.”

The US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit in February sided (PDF) with the government and ruled that the policy did not need to be disclosed under a Freedom of Information Act request from the Electronic Privacy Information Center. The court agreed with the government’s citation of a FOIA exemption that precludes disclosure if doing so “could reasonably be expected to endanger the life or physical safety of any individual.”

EPIC asked the court to revisit its ruling, arguing that the decision, “if left in place, would create an untethered ‘national security’ exemption'” in FOIA law. On Friday, the court ordered (PDF) the government to respond—a move that suggests the appellate court might rehear the case.

EPIC originally asked for the document in 2011 in the wake of the shut down of mobile phone service in the San Francisco Bay Area subway system during a protest. The government withheld the information, EPIC sued and won, but the government then appealed and prevailed.

In its petition for rehearing, EPIC argued that the appellate court’s decision “created a catch-all provision that would allow federal agencies to routinely withhold records subject to disclosure where the agency merely asserts a speculative security risk.”

Under the direction of the so-called National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee, SOP 303 allows for the shutting down of wireless networks “within a localized area, such as a tunnel or bridge, and within an entire metropolitan area.”

There have been no publicly disclosed instances when SOP 303 has been invoked, but the telecoms have agreed to shutter service when SOP 303 is invoked.

Local governments, however, have the power to shutter wireless service regardless of SOP 303.

That was the best video I’ve seen in a while on Casey Rearch. It is basically an ad piece for their newsletter which looks compelling, but the people interviewed top notch, and shared examples of multi-baggers and their investing journeys.

      Thanks for the post CFS.

    Apr 08, 2015 08:53 AM

excuse me but when is casey ever correct……??

      Apr 08, 2015 08:48 AM

Casey is another fine example of sales and marketing.
They get on a momentum play and promote the hell out of it. Yes they are pricey to early knowledge and can get volume into a stock due to their sheeple sub base.
At the end of the day they to were calling for a collapse and were promoting their own land in Argentina. Ya write your drivinging straight into another currency crisses and exchange controls. This is while all the dollar bears were calling for the demise of the U.S. and the dollar. They were exactly wrong.
I’m not saying US is all fine as it is not but it is in a new paradigm. More people struggling and high youth unemployment but still moving along. Their just living in mom and dads basement which is still a hellof a lot better than most places in the world.

      Apr 08, 2015 08:46 AM

Well I don’t know about most of Casey’s research calls, but I thought the interview was very well done. As of for their 7 top picks, I do like the looks of Pretium Resources and Klondex Mines and have been watching both stocks for a while, so that was good confirmation.

    Apr 08, 2015 08:54 AM

iPhones a bugger to move around on the typing field.
That is above Casey has you sub money to travel around and is PRIVEY to early knowledge.
If you didn’t buy their latest promoted stock in the resource hay day in the first 3 second you were chasing a rocket launch. Just dangerous period.

    Apr 09, 2015 09:05 AM

Nothing sells more subscriptions than a gold bull market. People get nuts as Birdman says. Casey made a fortune this last gold run. Check out the gold rushes of the past. Who made the loot. Whore houses and the guys selling equipment. Same applies here’s. If you are tuning a web site pushing stocks and ads. That’s gaureented $s. Nothing else is. Theresa is a large gamble.

      Apr 09, 2015 09:23 AM

PS Casey recommended dumping Vancouver real estate 5 years ago…Another expert opinion.
