Have to say we probably won’t see any meaningful upside again until buying resumes in slv and gld. Jpm needed to make another batch of physical withdrawals so…. down we go

More countries are joining the European Union ! Greece stays in the EURO ! Croatia ! http://europa.eu/newsroom/highlights/special-coverage/croatia-joins-eu/index_en.htm

      Apr 08, 2015 08:45 AM

Diss is a MONOPOLY GAME ! STOP DREAMING !

        Apr 08, 2015 08:49 PM

I think that is a bit of a stretch, Franky! That is, of course, simply my opinion. What do the rest of you think?

          Apr 08, 2015 08:42 PM

Franky, Croatia joining the EU in that article was from 2013, and they didn’t owe the IMF a huge payment. Greece needs to decide tomorrow if it wants to default and face the punishment/buy itself time in the 6 week grace period, or if wants to exit the EU and start its own currency again.

I wouldn’t say this is a great recruiting message for other countries to run in an join the EU.

            Apr 09, 2015 09:38 AM

THE MONNEY IS FAKE ! 1 WORLD ORDER IS THE PLAN ! And OBEY ! The GREECE is the volatility machine to rob the markets whit manipulation computers in Banks ! ALL LAI !

            Apr 09, 2015 09:19 AM

Well I agree with you that the money is fake, an the New World Order is the plan.

It may very well be that the Greece side show is organized chaos, meant to dismantle the EU, and feed the fire of the Currency wars.

Remember the Georgia Guidestones point out the NWO agenda as Population control, 1 world governing body, and 1 global currency.

The only way they are going to get their dream of 1 world currency, is if there is enough fear and consternation about the currency wars, (Problem-Reaction-Solution) where this gets much uglier, then there is an uproar to “fix it”, and then then wheel in their power-point presentation on how much better just 1 global currency would be for everyone……

Then they micro-chip everyone and get on with their twisted agenda, and we swipe our arms instead of atm cards…..

      Apr 08, 2015 08:30 PM

Sorry Franky, what does this have to do with Greece. Are you saying that Greece would want to stay in?

    I agree with you guys……except………DERIVATIVES.

I am not referring to your comment CFS, but to Franky’s

I do agree with you, CFS

I did buy another small mining stock today, with part filing of my order, and I have a further order in at a price between the bid and the ask. for another stock.

A few days ago there was an article on Zerohedge summarizing what Greece owes to who and when up to Sept’ 15. Here it is, with a simple summary table at the bottom:

    http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-04-02/greece-said-prepare-grexit-drachma-bank-nationalization-plans

    Best to all,

Thanks for the article post LPG.

Chris T. good thoughts on the oil markets, and I agree that Greece may be a stinker in the marketplace. Everyone is so sick of this story and have become numb to it, but this whole process could catch people off guard.

Al good to hear you on the mic. Keep these guys in line 🙂

The problem with the zerohedge listing is that it really does not list the owners of the Greek treasuries.
These are held presumably by Greek people, pension funds and hedge funds.
Many of the hedge funds will have hedged by derivative action, and the effect of this on banks is unknown at this time, except by the the writers of the credit default swaps themselves. I suspect this will bankrupt some banks.
I suspect some people living on pensions and the interest off CDs will be seriously hurt.

The other possible problem is the domino effect on other counties which are buried in debt.

          Apr 08, 2015 08:54 PM

Your last sentence brings up a very good point, CFS!

        Apr 08, 2015 08:53 PM

Sometimes, actually more often than not, I think it is the other way around, Shad!

          Apr 08, 2015 08:44 PM

Ha! Well let me reverse that then…..Guys….Keep Big Al in line……he’s back on the mic and up to mischief once again 🙂

    RE: GOLD

To clarify, with re: to what Al mentioned at 7mn 10sec in the podcast re: what I “said yesterday”, I think Al got confused as I didn’t mention anything about gold on any post yesterday.

    No hard feeling, no worries.

Sorry guys but gold pullback exactly in the 50%-61.8% retracement zone.
We can have a rally from here.

Yes Gabriel, I agree. It would seem the breather in PMs is exhausting itself today, and I would anticipate tomorrow and Friday and the beginning of next week being mildly bullish for Gold, with strong resistance at 1224 and 1239.

        Apr 08, 2015 08:33 PM

Correction to the above statment (first resistance will be at 1222-1223), then 1239.

      Apr 08, 2015 08:16 PM

GLD reversed at the 13 day ema today and looks ready to head to resistance at the neckline of the potential head and shoulders bullish reversal pattern.

        Good chart Matthew.

Thanks Reverenc, I will be posting this article along with a few others. Another really good opinion came from David Stockman.

      Best and again thanks.

Tomorrow Greece will start shutting down around mid-afternoon, probably earlier, as the Greeks go home to prepare food for the start of their Easter, followed by midnight mass in churches across Greece.

I know the PM is a Communist but even a Communist would not be forgiven for interrupting the Greek Easter – unless it was for something extraordinary.

      Apr 08, 2015 08:10 PM

Having been raised Russian Orthodox, I completely agree with you Bob UK!

      Apr 08, 2015 08:49 PM

Interesting thoughts Bob UK. So based on that do you think they’ll just kick the can down the road?

Interesting glitch in the price of gold today just after the NYMEX closed. Looked to me that either a hedge fund or a bank made an attack on gold, but it essentially failed to influence the market.
The PM market appears stronger to me than most folks think.

      Apr 08, 2015 08:11 PM

CFS – Do you think we may get some lift in the PM prices in overnight trading and into tomorrow as a safe haven bid for protection against the Greek madness?

        CFS
        Apr 08, 2015 08:56 PM

        I don’t know, Shad.
I believe it is almost impossible to make any serious prediction in a market, in which I try to fully understand the fundamentals, but where big money can manipulate prices almost at will for short periods of time (days).

          Apr 09, 2015 09:16 AM

Ain’t that the truth….. I looks like prices came all the way down to 1192 before taking a bounce, that isn’t showing much conviction. As you say though, big money can exert some serious pressure in the price movement, so the ball is in their court.

      Apr 08, 2015 08:11 PM

Contrary to Avi’s comment of yesterday, I do agree with you.

Having failed in an attack on gold, about an hour later, I believe the same entity tried an attack on silver, which also failed. Only Palladium was successfully hit today in my book.

I hope you listened to what Ms. Barnhardt said. The I.R.S. to seize all her assets and bank accounts.

here’s her most recent talk radio appearance……probably for religious people only: (Here you go, HH.)
      http://www.blogtalkradio.com/askshow/2015/03/13/the-andrea-shea-king-show–ann-barnhardt

        Apr 08, 2015 08:26 PM

I have sometimes thought that Ann sounds too angry and can be a little crazy but she is so chilled out in this interview.

        Apr 08, 2015 08:25 PM

        CFS,

Barnhardt is an idiot. She refused to pay her taxes and gave the finger to the I.R.S. Then she gets upset because she was too stupid to think that the money in her bank account would not be taking to pay her back taxes.

        Apr 09, 2015 09:40 AM

CFS……I think, she has some valid points.
Concerning the federal tax on the local cable bill, which goes to the insiders kickbacks.. LIKE GORE, and OPERA W, AL SHARPETON , like Gore scammed off about $80 MILLION. DOLLARS
I think she is not a nut , but, a little pissed off with the govt. which is way out of line on everything. extracting every dime they can hiden in a form of collection which most people do not even see….She points out the tax is hidden and everyone is paying , providing TRASH TO THE SOCIETY via thur the tube. jm 2 cents worth.

And thanks to you CFS ‘interesting glitch’.
Al Im not sure what you refer to re Franky but thats ok.
I think you mean- Greece stays in europe. As for anyones qualifications….
if the message resonates… why a need for ‘qualifications’… I didnt watch it.
    Thanks

    Apr 08, 2015 08:36 PM

I think they will come to a settlement with Greece to keep them solvent for now, it will take an unpredictable event that they can’t imagine or control to provide the coup de gras! DT
