That is a good point. I don’t think that it will correct downwards as that would definitely not make the U.S. look good. Think about it.

I missed a chance at 11% profit on gold today because I got greedy. Just glad I have a good bear position as a backup!
I think we all understand one another Big AL. This is now
settled and we will now move forward in a respectful manner.
The positioning for all of us is not to provoke, harrass, insult,
make false accusations or anything derogatory that could
be unsettling to all fellow posters. To avoid engaging in a
defensive manner but itโs an option depending on the nature
of the provoking insult etc. Doc advised to ignore these comments
but much easier said than done. Great advise but will it succeed.
We can make every effort.
With that being understood and agreed upon everyone that left
should return to normal commentary and posting. Thought this
may help piece everyone back together. Not sure but making
the attempt.
I will mention fellow posters by name to return who do the most
commentary first. Forgive me if I miss anyone please. Everyone

I know I missed maybe several but I apologize and if you donโt want to

I enjoyed the thoughts from each one of the contributors mentioned above HH, and hope they’ll be back posting in due time. I talked with Matthew, Glen, and Jerry on a daily basis, and also tried to check out with the Rev, DT, Irish, and Dave threw out as well. Some of them had been here for the 4+ years I’ve been listening and posting, and had a large affect on my investing, current event events, and laughter over the years.
Thanks HH for working on the reconciliation process.
Honestly, I think it is fine to have disagreements with people and lay out different perspectives from your own personal vantage point. However, it is when people make it personal, name call, or scoff at another’s views that things get ugly.
Many days the issue had been laid to rest but then people on all sides would get combative, and then nothing fruitful came from it for the next 20 posts. This happens on most blogs, and it is the desire for people to be “right” or “justified politically, religiously, or morally” that their view is the only way of seeing the world. It is dangerous and trouble when people start pushing their ideas or beliefs down someone else’s throat. The natural response is friction and anger from the recipient.
Diversity in thought is what I appreciate on a good forum, and that means that not everyone will agree with your views everyone. You don’t need to save everyone from the folly of their ways, or prove to them how wrong they are and how right you are…. just move on and let people drink from the waters of your truth if they are thirsty.
However you feel about your religion, your political party, the Middle East, Russia, Europe, or the mundane world of whether Gold/Silver will go up or down is still just your opinion and the rose-colored glasses you view this world from. There are about 7 billion people and they don’t all agree on any one thing, and that is what makes it great to be alive on this planet. It is great to share opinions and discuss, but dangerous to feel you have dibs on the ultimate truth or definitive road-map of reality.

Dear HH, Yet another of your very decent and reconciliatory posts so thank you.
I know you’ve written earlier ones for which there’s been no proper take-up. So ten out of ten for persisting as a genuine peacemaker!
I fear that the hurt caused towards some over this past year/s represents a bridge too far, and we’ve now lost them. Matthew’s posts in particular were valued by many of us. But he has been treated at its kindest in a despicable way, and out of respect for Matthew alone I’m all but ducking out from this site.
I fear that the last chance saloon was sometime last week and by being either ignored or treated with contempt means that that particular door is now shut.
You do well to remind us that we need to move on, but what has happened is that there’s been no proper closure. Apologies where they are due have not been expressed, making it even appear that KER is somehow all the better for that, with everything being hunky dory from hereon .
To forgive (and be forgiven) seventy times seven as the Good Book says is right and proper. But without any apologies the reconciler remains stranded.

friends a long time and its irritating that some can be so shallow taking
up an opinion that its acceptable to see many leave for a crime they never
committed. That’s so very wrong. This will not stand.
Hopefully everyone returns and we can all post respectfully and peacefully
without being abused etc. etc.
It’s a new dawn and chapter moving forward as far as I’m concerned. Many
good respectful posters need not be roughed up any longer. We have every
right to post respectfully without being attacked.

Yes Matthew and Jerry were long time posting buddies for me. Glenfidish and I really struck up a friendship towards the end of last year and beginning of this year in all our posting ping-pong, and I miss their insights.
