I guess people with a little more money would take a little longer to see what shape the economy is in. They don’t seem to notice price increases in goods, why would they? a can of soup going from 50 cents to a dollar means nothing to them, where as a struggling person sees a 100% increase. Wealthier people wouldn’t be bothered about 50 cents.
Odd tho, people having enough money to invest would be little more knowledgable you would think, but I guess not.
So, after all these years of events, maybe more people are beginning to understand.
Kinda supports the argument success is more luck than brains. lol

Luck, as in golf, does seem to have a lot to do with it, bb.

I was waiting for gold to bounce off the $1200 ceiling in order to buy for JDST. 🙂

Who knows if this is specifically it. I just am convinced that it will be that time very, very soon.

AL, I have recorded you as a gold bear. Is it OK?

          May 05, 2015 05:21 PM

          Switching my direction, Lawrence.

I really believe, and I have absolutely no ulterior motive, that we will see a strong gold market again in the not very distant future.

Buying JDST means bearish on gold in general. Well, could be bearish on miner, bullish on gold but it is unlikely.

I do agree with you Al that the global power structure both with influence, and in the financing/growth in infrastructure is shifting from West to East. Many have noticed it, but the latest BRIC arrangements and the Chinese AIIB confirm the rest of the world has the US and Europe in their rear view mirrors.

That is not to say that the USA and Europe are not still players on the global stage, as they absolutely are…..it is just there are many more players on the stage now, and some have some new moves and have captivated the crowds.

Good review of this streaming company, Sandstorm Gold, starting to spread their wings.

BTW – I agree with Chris’s perspectives on Stagflation being the flavor of the day, and he has been very consistent with that for the last 2 years and has been dead on.

In addition, he’s spot on with the current landscape in commodities. I do find it counter-intuitive that everyone has been so worried about the lower PMI numbers in China the last few quarters and in particular since the beginning of 2015, yet Copper is edging higher.

Could it be that there is growth on our planet in many of the other emerging markets outside of China?? (you bet your bottom dollar there is growth all over the place in spite of the deflationary woes we keep hearing about)

The mainstream media has such tunnel vision on the US, Europe, Japan, and China; that they forget there is a big beautiful world out there that is slowly starting to develop, and they want streets, buildings, toasters, Iphones, laptops, cars, duct tape, and WD-40.

The continents of Africa, South America, the Middle East, South Asia, the Indian subcontinent, and the ex-soviet territories in Europe continue to develop, and apparently they like copper too……not just China.

Chris Temple – I couldn’t take it any more and did just take a good position in Mosaic (MOS).

In my mind, the Fertilizer and Potash companies will start to shine in the near future.
Next up FMC corp (FMC), Potash Corp of Saskatchewan (POT), ICL Fertilizer (ICL), Intreid Potash (IPI)

Also……Uranium stocks surged 2 weeks ago and I trimmed positions or sold positions into that strength. However, today they look beaten back down so I took out new positions in Uranerz Energy (URZ), Ur-Energy (URG), Paladin (PALAF), and Cameco (CCJ) this morning. Some of them are already turning back up.

          Cheers!

Friends of Alberta, Alberta is on the cross road. We may risk electing an NDP government which is ultra socialist. They will destroy our economy like they have done to other provinces. For one thing, they are against Northern Gate pipeline, which is hope of our survival. God bless us. I for one sincerely hope Wild Rose or PC got elected even I don’t like PC very much.

Story about Venezuela gold is sure interesting. Silver doctors has an interesting article. A little crazy but a few weird things clearly occurred or didn’t. Namely Venezuela made a big deal about getting its gold back but it appears they didn’t. Not in to most of the conspiracy theory stuff but this is intriguing.
