What areas of the market does Rick think stand a chance of appreciating?
With the slow trading days continuing Rick provides us with his perspective on where people can find value in the markets.

Cory, I request a question about Shangai Composit (SSEC) because Bob Moriarty thalks last editorial. If Bob mention it, maybe could have some importance… Perhaps Chriss Tample could answer?
Dropped Hecla and Silver Weaton today…..looking tipsy.
I’m also out of my Silver positions, but have been mostly out for a while, and sold a few more last week. We have a fun Silver discussion going on over on the Gary blog if you’re interested in weighing in on any of it. Hecla and Silver Wheaton were discussed along with a slew of other ones.
Emerging market bonds aught to be as good an investment as gold mining companies paying a dividend. The secular doubel-exposure(bottom) has already been in, according to the wrinkled pickles. This is where you throw the bicycle intermediately into the hatch.
Fran,
Thanks for the chart! I completely agree that EM Bonds should be close to a big rally. It looks really good to buy in a trading day or two.
The EMs are real close to blastoff mode.
You would want to compare the performance of the U.S. instrument with the $CAD instrument of the same type, if you’re living in Canada.
Copper looks like it’s going to rally:

CRJ is looking good on the daily chart:

The weekly is a sell but it’s holding up well:

Matthew – Thanks for posting with the OTC for Claude as well as the Canadian ticker. I try to qualify if I’m talking Canadian or US tickers or charts now, as people on this board trade both.
I am disappointed that Rick is so dismissive of the Shanghai stock market plunge. That market has tanked another 7.4% this morning, for a total of nearly 20% in two weeks. The chart looks like a breaking head-and-shoulders top. We need more discussion about this.
Pixebell,
I’ve been following SSEC and I think it’s a well needed correction before it resumes to new highs. I don’t think it’s crashing. It’s going higher soon.
( should have gone short two weeks ago.. grr.. )
Al / Cory / Rick – Good discussion as per usual.
Thanks!
