      That is not at all what I meant. But, I see how what I said could be taken that way.
      I meant to say, “of course he will try to appoint a replacement.”

    We need a convention of the States to limit both the powers of the President and the Supreme court and RESTORE DEMOCRACY in this democratic Republic.

        I can not believe the country has lowered it’s standards so low……we have decided that one man………little o ……..can decide for 350 MILLION people what is CORRECT.

          Respect your leaders……biblically, so all will go with you……….That does not count if the morality is lower than required. Check PROVERB 24

            Beyond that, when was the last time that even a church anywhere had a convocation to PRAY for those in authority on a singular or regular basis.

            Feb 15, 2016 15:13 AM

            Depends on which church you go to………..

      No, no, no convention of states! The constitution was made for a righteous people and no piece of paper can make them righteous. Only God through Jesus Christ can change the hearts of men. You need to repent!

        Have you read the Liberty Amendments by Mark Levin suggesting how a Convention of the States could modify the Power of the Supreme Court, The Presidency, and Congress?
        Or some of the other suggestions?

        I seem to recall him arguing 9 cases in front of the Supreme court and won every one. I could be wrong on the number.
        The number of Amicus briefs he has filed is large.

    Feb 14, 2016 14:36 PM

    SCOTUS repealed the laws of biology (Obergefell). With Scalia gone, they will surely go after the laws of physics. Our leaders are fools!

    The 5-4 Conservatives gave us Citizens United. I find these kind of rulings that reinforce A Fascist Oligarch extremely short sighted and dangerous. Corprations are not people unless we can throw all the real people in jail with the make believe corporate persona…I guess that would be something like the reception desk or the executive bathroom.

      Feb 15, 2016 15:13 AM

      When you think of it, those are the only kind of “conservative” victories in recent years pretty much; whatever galvanizes the corporate state.

    …….
    Meanwhile, Guevara acknowledged that she pronounced Scalia dead by phone, without seeing his body. Instead, she spoke to law enforcement officials at the scene — who assured her “there were no signs of foul play” — and Scalia’s physician in Washington, who said that the 79-year-old justice suffered from a host of chronic conditions……..

    The above is a statement from a justice.

    Now HERE is TEXAS LAW:

    http://www.statutes.legis.state.tx.us/Docs/CR/htm/CR.49.htm

    which contains the following paragraph:

    Art. 49.04. DEATHS REQUIRING AN INQUEST. (a) A justice of the peace shall conduct an inquest into the death of a person who dies in the county served by the justice if:
    (1) the person dies in prison under circumstances other than those described by Section 501.055(b), Government Code, or in jail;
    (2) the person dies an unnatural death from a cause other than a legal execution;
    (3) the body or a body part of a person is found, the cause or circumstances of death are unknown, and:
    (A) the person is identified; or
    (B) the person is unidentified;
    (4) the circumstances of the death indicate that the death may have been caused by unlawful means;
    (5) the person commits suicide or the circumstances of the death indicate that the death may have been caused by suicide;
    (6) the person dies without having been attended by a physician;
    (7) the person dies while attended by a physician who is unable to certify the cause of death and who requests the justice of the peace to conduct an inquest;

    ………..

    Judge Scalia was NOT seen by a physician, A justice grants a death certificate over the phone without even seeing the body.

    No Post Mortem or inquest into the death.

    THAT SMELLS TO ME!

    Now the person who first entered the room (The owner of the ranch) is saying the bed was “unruffled, but a pillow was found over the Judges head.

    The San Antonio Express-News reported that Justice Scalia was found dead in his bed at the Cibolo Creek Ranch at approximately 11:30 AM by Houston businessman John Poindexter, who owns the 30,000 acre luxury ranch. In an interview with the outlet, Poindexter said that “we discovered the judge in bed, a pillow over his head. His bed clothes were unwrinkled, he was lying very restfully. It looked like he had not quite awakened from a nap.” In a separate interview with the New York Times Poindexter expanded further by saying “his hands were sort of almost folded on top of the sheets, the sheets weren’t rumpled up at all.”

    Strange heart attack.

      STRANGE…………..

        Feb 15, 2016 15:21 PM

        It no longer smells, it stinks.

        It turns out that the owner of the range, John Poindexter, was a heavy democrat party donor.
        He also received a reward from Obama a while ago.

        The federal authorities took an excessive amount of time to arrive at the ranch after being called. They assumed the death was just an illegal mexican death at first, and it took a second call.
        The room was cleaned.

        This stinks.

          Feb 15, 2016 15:30 PM

          no autopsy………….wonder why, they said the family did not want it…..(I doubt it)

            CFS
            Feb 15, 2016 15:51 PM

            The family has NO LEGAL rights with regard to autopsy.I know, because when my father died at age 97 of causes unknown, an autopsy was order, despite his request that his body be donated to the local university for research. The autopsy negated that possibility.
            Incidentally, the autopsy did not produce a single cause….basically old age.

            As regards Scalia, just looking at a photo informs one that he was grossly over-weight and I would bet heavy odds he had high blood pressure…..i.e. a chronic illness. And lots of people die at 79, but we will probably never know the real cause.

            Feb 16, 2016 16:23 AM

            The family, in most states, can request and pay for a private autopsy.

    Now ponder this.

    The Supreme Court set aside Obama’s Orders via EPA to regulate coal powered electric generation on February 9th.
    Guess who wrote the opinion?
    Antonin Scalia.
    So Scalia stopped one of Obama’s Legacy items!

    Guess who appointed the Fed Marshall that showed up at Poindexter’s ranch….Obama.
