April 8, 2016

This is a special preview of the KE Report Weekend Show. This week we are featuring Rick Rule, President and CEO of Sprott U.S. Holdings, who joined us to kick off the show. We take a look at the resource sector in terms of stocks and ask him if the move up this year is sustainable. We also touch on the hot lithium sector. If you are investing in any resources especially lithium you should listen to what Rick has to say.

On the lithium front ORL-V popped today and I’m not surprised Hong Kong just held a mining conference and Singapore is next week I believe, lithium will get much attention. DT

    OFF TOPIC:
The area between Paraguay and Brazil is a poor area that is being taken over by Islamic recruiting. There are new mosques clearly visible all around the area.
Sunni Islamic State (ISIS) is following in the footsteps of the long-entrenched Shi’ite Hezbollah. “Venezuela under Hugo Chavez was an Iranian playground, giving free rein to its Hezbollah acolyte to arm, train and convert. During the 2006 war with Israel, the entire Wayuu indigenous tribe converted to Islam, adopting the Hezbollah name and consecrating the act by a failed attempt to bomb the US Embassy in Caracas. “Now Dabiq, ISIS’s website, has announced its mission to convert the native Mayas in Chiapas, Mexico and across the border in Guatemala. “Exploiting the poverty and marginalization of the indigenous peoples, ISIS announced an “anti-colonial” campaign to Islamicize, among others, the Tainos in the Caribbean, the Wayuu beyond Venezuela in Ecuador, the Guarani and Amazonian tribes in Brazil. “Such sensationalist pretensions are improbable, but the Mexican beginning replicates the Syrian/Iraqi example of cooperation with smuggling cartels. “Another Dabiq release, picked up by the Breitbart website, indicates that ISIS “could purchase a nuclear weapon in Pakistan and then smuggle it into the U.S. through Mexico by using existing traffic networks in Latin America.”…

I fear that L.A . will be targeted for a Nuke in a truck within the next few years.

      Apr 08, 2016 08:35 PM

      That’s quite specific.

I can imagine why all the Hollyweird types would imagine that LA is the focus of everything – why do aliens always attack Santa Monica (Go figure) – but surely there are better targets.

Negating how difficult, outside of fiction, how difficult it is to make such a device and get it to the continental USA don’t you think that there are better targets for such a device? New York and destroy the financial system. Large population targets such as Chicago. Silicon Valley. The big naval bases on either coast?

Nah, I think the luvvies in Hollywood can sleep safely.

Now, if you are talking about zombies then that is another tin of beans altogether 😉

Great interview as always with RR.
Two things I differ in an overall belief. 1) I doubt gold has bottomed. 2) Lithium looks really good right now. JMHO

Any pure lithium producers to recommend? I like it too but I haven’t seen profitable producer .

I have been keeping an eye on Bacanora for a few years – have seen it go up and down like a roller-coaster at various points.

Have watched it double and more some from its lows – at the lows it was impossible to buy the stock around its lows – but I still do not know what to make of it. Whether it is a stock for the future or just another one of the lithium stocks that is up because everyone is focussing on Tesla.

Rick Rule is a real man. Go Rick go.

BTW, my SVM.to is close to my first chunk sale price. If I can sell at cdn$2.35, I get 250% gain. Wish me good luck.

      Rick Rules.

    Apr 08, 2016 08:50 PM

Rule says the easy place to be right now is the precious metals and that most would do well to confine their efforts to the precious metals sector.

That’s exactly what I was saying here a week or so ago. Why complicate things?

I was going through old charts when I found one that I posted last November. If anyone turned bullish based on this chart, they are doing better than most right now.

Note the overall massive growth in volume since the beginning of 2014. I’ve stressed how bullish this was (and still is) for the last 18 months. That volume combined with the two years it took for the bottom to form is incredibly bullish.

Gary Savage apparently joined Clive Maund on the sidelines weeks ago. He downplays what he missed but I know I would have missed a lot had I been out.

The bears and sidelined bulls can’t be feeling very good right now.

You know we’ve got a new bull market when the Loonie foils the likes of Ross Clark and, so far, it has…

If ever there was a good reason for those who’ve missed out to just start buying, this is it:

    http://d1we3mgpmos2z.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/hui-to-gold-ratio.png

The HUI would have to go up another 33% versus gold just to reach its 2008 crash low. In the big picture, the upside in the miners from here is still huge.

    Apr 08, 2016 08:36 PM

The Gold Miners Bullish Percent Index can go much higher and stay there…

      Thanks for all the charts.
