A focus on how gold stocks will react with gold continuing down

June 21, 2016

Doc joins Cory again today to focus on the movements in gold stocks. With gold moving down, gold stocks (especially the better quality stocks) are holding strong. This is another sign that the gold market is in a better place in 2016.

It does help that for many of the stocks that they are in exploration season with potential results to come in.

I watched the first one, not the movie. I hope they vote to leave.

          Jun 21, 2016 21:35 PM

The movie and anything Nigel Farage has to say about the issue are spot on.
I think the issue is so crucial to the EU elites that this vote might not be well counted.

            +1

            Jun 22, 2016 22:27 AM

Agreed. I’ve watched the movie twice in the last 2 weeks and recommended it to others. We have friends in Germany that of course want the UK to stay, and didn’t understand why they’d want to leave the EU. We sent them the link to the movie and now they are looking at the EU and this vote in a whole new context.

            Hi Excelsior…thanx…and back at you!

          Jun 22, 2016 22:52 AM

          Dennis, Al,

I hard the largest contract of my career in late 2012, then working a couple of different engineering positions…very busy. What I’ve found, as many of you know, is it’s bad to get emotional and invest when you are busy. But believe me, I’ve been watching you guys…(if I had an emoji editor, I’d insert that silly winking one with the tongue sticking out).

          KER still rocks.

Slaves of sin (murder, adultery, theft, lying, coveting, idolatry, blasphemy, etc.) don’t deserve to be free. The punishment for sin we receive in this world is just a taste of the punishment we will receive in the next world IF WE DON’T REPENT. God in His mercy is warning us.

And has been for quite some time, Wayne!

Does anyone have an opinion about these drill results.
There are only a small amount but great grade, good width and close to the surface.

I have been following Golden Predator, but have a very hard time analyzing the company, because of strange financing and share cancellations, etc.
I do like an addition to management from mcewen mining management that occurred.
They seem to know what they are doing.

    Whats anyone think of this?

my mistake, a waste of time.

      Jun 22, 2016 22:31 AM

Jim Rickards has reached a new low. Smells like scum to me. You can’t portray yourself as an insider and have a gold newsletter/speculator website. This is nothing but staged garbage and very sad indeed. Infomercial anyone?!!! This is his “jump-the-shark” moment.

        Jun 22, 2016 22:34 AM

This Richards crap plays and preys on the conspiracy theorists (like some of the folks on this website). This is complete B.S.

          Jun 22, 2016 22:58 AM

          Agree. Good call, man.

    Jun 21, 2016 21:29 PM

Good market wrap, Doc and Cory.
Doc, I think the mining stocks are going break some surprising resistance levels this time. I do think you are correct regarding a possible bottom in September or October. I’m glad you are thinking that too. It sould be an exciting summer and fall.

      Jun 21, 2016 21:31 PM

      I happen to agree, Chartster!

      Jun 21, 2016 21:21 PM

      Charster,
Got it for precious metals market and mining stocks but do not get that
commodity , ems(emerging markets) will go up theory. here is why all ems same as U.S. and EU. No ??also CRB index very much go downward. Would U explain to us specifically???
I do not see same way,. Thanks all.

    Hi Doc,
Gotta ask – what do you expect GDX &GDXJ will move down to? There seems to be an aweful lot of support showing up here. TIA as always.

Also, Charster – I know you have been saying you expect big moves down this summer, but the way miners are acting doesnt seem support this currently (based on the weak move down yesterday). Do you have a chart you can put up? Would be interested to see what you are watching.

    Hi Doc,
Also wondering about you take on how a brexit vote to stay will impact the dollar.

    CFS
    Jun 22, 2016 22:10 AM

The dollar index is so dominated by the weighting of the euro, I’m no longer sure it has really useful meaning.
The U.K.£/US$ has been rising versus the USD index, considerably more than the index would imply.
    , it seems to me.

What I can’t seem to get a handle on at the moment is the relative strength of platinum and palladium, at a time when the industrial economies are supposedly slowing…..that is difficult to understand, because Pt and Pd prices are supposed to be dominated by manufacturing demand, unless something is not being reported. e.g. Mining problems in S. Africa or Russia withholding supply.

    Jun 22, 2016 22:57 AM

Robert Moriarty thinks, maybe, its time to dump gold and buy platinum.

      Jun 22, 2016 22:19 AM

I would rather dump gold to buy silver but there’s a very good chance that Bob’s trade will work out well.

      Here’s platinum priced in gold:
