Based on the recent performance of companies like Rye Patch, Corvus and Exeter, we think a bit of dappling in the quality companies in the resource sector is due. This is not investment advice simply our opinions.

I’m dabbling…..almost fully invested. Just topped up KNTNF.

    Jun 29, 2016 29:03 AM

Glad you guys are ok with it. I jumped the gun a bit and bought in back in February!

      Jun 29, 2016 29:10 PM

      😮

      Jun 29, 2016 29:24 PM

      February 2015 or 2016?
(I was in way too early in 2015, so I am making fun of myself)

      😉

      Look at Alexco run ! ! !
If Silver backtests $US18, then runs past $20, it is a US$3.50 stock

    Doc,
Long Exeter since 2012 and I was in green today for a brief amount of time.
What a journey! I own just too much of these that I lost the appetite to purchase more but maybe I will add to my position if there’s a pullback.

      Jun 29, 2016 29:18 PM

Cali, I purchased XRA first when it was in the 30 ct. range

        Jun 29, 2016 29:28 PM

Wow. I picked it up in the .53-59 range, but sold most of it at .93 (way to early), but moved those profits into other good trades, so I’m still a happy camper.

Congratulations to all the Exeter investors that had such a big win today.

Did they find a JV partner or something?

Gold prices in $US might see a pull-back once the indicator, TNX/PRII sees the trough, but so far the decline has been ongoing for various reasons, all adding to conditions for a higher gold price. I suspect that soon another unforeseen exogenous event will add to the gold price yet again.

    http://www.breitbart.com/london/2016/06/29/frontex-chief-300000-migrants-headed-africa-europe/

    I watch old movies.
I don’t know what others think, but in almost every old movie I’ve seen with refugees, and in Vietnam footage when you look at refugees, what do you see?
You see lots of women carrying babies and children.

If you look at footage of buses in the US carrying “refugees”, or look at pictures of European boat “refugees” what do you see?
I see a lot of young men.

IT IS TIME POLITICAL ENTITIES RECOGNIZE THE DIFFERENCE between a refugee, an economic migrant and a potential invading terrorist.

It is humane to accept a true refugee.
It is sensible to accept an economic migrant, IF THEY ARE EDUCATED AND WILL BENEFIT SOCIETY.
But it is really stupid, bordering on traitorous, to accept possible terrorists.

I ACCUSE THE ADMINISTRATION AS BEING LED BY TRAITORS.

      Jun 29, 2016 29:37 AM

This has been obvious for years.

      Jun 29, 2016 29:13 PM

It’s all legal. The final arbiters on the SCOTUS approve. As a lawyer for our city once said, “Until a judge in a court of law strikes it down, it’s legal.”

      NOT!

cfs, these “leaders” are only traitors if you expect them to work for the benifit of their people.
Personally I figure there are enough examples otherwise.
They work for the banks, they ar not traitors in the least, they are doing as they are paid to do.
Check for example the Yinon plan, heck these exceptional employees deserve a raise.

I do expect an elected leader to work for the benefit of the people, how stupid of me!

        Jun 29, 2016 29:25 PM

Obama is working for ISIS, and for Iran. He is calling for more muslim immigration today, after the bombing in Constantinople.

Apologies to those annoyed by my rant, but my mind wanders off stocks once in a while.

I find it interesting that it is not just really small exploration companies that can increase rapidly in price.
Today an example is XRA, but as I look at my portfolio there are many that P move fairly rapidly and consistently upwards……again often management quality is the key.
e.g. MUX, doing nothing spectacular, not seeking heavy publicity
    Or Quartermain’s properties, or Friedland.
Perhaps one of these days we should list best managers and companies.

      Jun 29, 2016 29:06 PM

Friedland is a long term perspective guy the Rick Rule magnifies often, but in my book none better than Quartermain & McEwen, but Q’main has the motherload in PRETIUM!

Why is nobody commenting about silver as it has crossed the 18 dollar mark.

    Jun 29, 2016 29:19 PM

    Brexit good

    Strong like bull

    Jun 29, 2016 29:25 PM

    Me like Brexit

    Brexit good

    Jun 29, 2016 29:36 PM

Al, you talk as if the only criteria for how the economy is doing is a rising stock market.

That is far from being the determining factor whether or not Brexit will destroy the world.

Then you subtly bash gold again when you say at a time like this it should be going down but it’s not.

    Exactly what time is this?

In my book at a time precisely at this gold should be going up.

As far as comparing Brexit to shaking up an old inefficient corporation the two are completely different.

If you someone think this is going to start a resurgence and everything will be competitive and efficient and we are living in a new wonderful world please come to Brooklyn, I have a bridge to sell you.

I asked you the other day when you said this was not the time to back up the truck in gold, well then when will it be? I am still waiting for an answer.
if this isn’t the time to back up the truck (if you have already) good grief I don’t know when it ever will be.

      Jun 29, 2016 29:13 PM

It’s never time to back up the truck, but consistently averaging into a position over time.. I’ve been at actual accumulation since 1976, but that was gold jewelry when spot was $145/oz and it was Disco time! Now those were the days.

    Jun 29, 2016 29:43 PM

The market is not recognizing this as positive.

    Just the opposite!

The market is recognizing this for how bad it really is.

If bad news is good news , then catastrophic news is really really good news.

I said the other day do what seems right to you people
    Go with your gut

    Jun 29, 2016 29:47 PM

“I’m starting to wonder if TA really works with this market” – Doc June29th, 2016
Do you think? Glad you are starting to realize that you haven’t done a “bang up job” at predicting the gold price or the stocks . The accumulation year should of been last year, sir, not this year.

      Jun 29, 2016 29:01 PM

      Ryan,

TA works until it doesn’t. When you realize it’s stopped working the price has passed you by and then you keep saying there will be a pull-back. For months gold has been in a “buy the dip” mentality. It really is difficult to shift to new way of thinking but sometimes it’s just best not to focus so much on technicals, and watch price action, especially it’s relationship to national and world events. Gold collapse, or major pull-back has been predicted for a long time now. Especially after Brexit. And what’s the price action been after Brexit?

      Jun 29, 2016 29:26 PM

When I made that comment I was referencing the gold price charts not the stock charts. If you’ve followed me over time, I started to significantly purchase select companies back in the latter part of 2015 and have been purchasing them ever since in decreasing amounts thereby keeping my cost basis well below support areas. Examples of 3 that were purchased at their lows were XRA. Claude and RIC. I currently own about 15 PM stocks and plan to continually add over the rest of this year. Currently am about 43% invested.

        Jun 29, 2016 29:20 PM

Doc, funny thing, I’m 86% all in in equities, and I actually bough some semi numismatics last Wednesday of MS 69 gold eagle set of 1988 a 1/10, 1/4, 1/2 & 1oz ( 1.85oz) for $3520.

          Jun 29, 2016 29:42 PM

Marty, cool; I collect $20 St. Gaudens.

        Jun 29, 2016 29:02 PM

        Doc,

The EU establishment is calling for greater centralization (Globalization as is the President of China. The “REAL BATTLE” is now becoming apparent, in my opinion. The question in my mind is now who will be the resultant Global Aristocracy under one world government. It sure looks like China has the edge. Tell me I’m crazy. Highest Redards, FIH

WE THINK NOW IS THE TIME TO BEGIN INVESTING IN SOLID EXPLORATION COMPANIES

Why? Market insiders will short the hell out of them and the metals being explored for and will if current trends continue they will continue to short the hell out of them making any mining or exploration venture unprofitable as an investment.
Buy the metal, pay cash and take delivery. Be right and sit tight.
