The “helicopter money” term is misused by almost everyone

July 15, 2016

This is an extension of our conversation with Rick. The topic of helicopter money is being thrown around by the media more than ever but Rick feels that this term is not understood by the vast majority of individuals. True helicopter money is very different than the recent QE programs in the US and in Europe.

The closest thing to helicopter money is what a recent Swiss referendum turned down.

Various pundits have talked about giving direct money to the masses.
e.g. I have seen comments coming out of government officials, in both the IRS and the Treasury.
The IRS has talk about giving a credit to everyone that files, not just a working tax credit…My guess is that they have a lot of illegals not filing.

The Treasury has talked about a handout, with possibly an income threshold, to directly stimulate the economy. (Noting the lower income spend every last dime of income)
I have also seen discussions about direct handouts being given with the proviso that they must first be applied to reduce debt. (Possibly here is the student loan problem being considered or the massive private credit card debt problem)

Platinum is still in positive territory as I type this, but, based on the COT Data, we might anticipate a sharp hit on gold and silver towards the market close. Did not work last week, but they will try again I believe.

The only gold bull market with every fabric being torn
in the coming destruction of society will only be physical
    metals only in hand.

Anyone who has bought into the paper gold toxic hype
that is now being distributed like fill dirt by the crafty
Elite criminals are in for a devastating wake up call.

      Jul 15, 2016 15:22 AM

All investors have now is paper gold. It’s a
frenzy. While the elite have all the real
      physical metals in their possession.

You have the paper and the promises that
will be broken with mining shares imcluded
and they have all the real genuine metals.

I’m very surprised most of you are that ignorant
but those paper profits do blind everyones
      judgment and vision.

Enjoy the collateral damages. Its on !

No one saw that coming either. And

Amen, and only God can be our refuge.

Humanity is now entering the 7 year
tribulation. Few see it because they
are blinded by the things of this world
and their pet sins. This includes so
called Christians who are bringing the
world into the church instead of being
part of the church. God have mercy.

We are living in the final hours before
the big calamity. For most it will be too
          late.

I don’t plan on being here. Many don’t know
this and even anointed men of God, what
manifests in the spiritual world and right
now it couldn’t be any worse will be the
same manifestation in the physical world.

So you can imagine what’s coming. Its going
to be horrific and chaos will be in all our lives.

Then the war. Major bloodshed and collateral
            devastation. Its certain and assured.

I would add one comment oil in three parts:
    1. There are a number of tankers in the Gulf going nowhere, but simply used for storage of crude.
    2. The rig count in the US and Canaa has been increasing so producers can generate cash flow. (Even if losing money)
    3. The latest weather projections are for a cold winter.

What happened Boeing, Lockhead, rolls-Royce (manufacturing in Indiana) McDonald Douglass, etc.
I guess you should have beefed up your cyber security!

FARNBOROUGH, England (AP) — China and Russia are making their presence felt in the multibillion-dollar aviation market.

With demand for single-aisle aircraft expected to grow for years to come, particularly from Asia, some experts think the new firms have a real chance at cracking the market, especially if they have the backing of their national governments. But it won’t be easy — loyalty to the likes of Airbus and Boeing for one will remain a factor, for sure.

They might be upstarts, but they are telling Europe’s Airbus and its fierce U.S. competitor Boeing as well as smaller regional jet-makers such as Brazil’s Embraer and Canada’s Bombardier: It’s not just about you guys anymore.

At this week’s Farnborough Airshow in southern England, two Chinese lessors declared their intent to buy a total of 90 regional aircraft from state-owned Commercial Aircraft Corp. of China, known as Comac, in a deal potentially worth billions of dollars.

Comac also laid out its plans to industry publication FlightGlobal for a larger wide-body aircraft to be built in conjunction with state-owned Russian maker United Aircraft Corporation. The jet will strike at the heart of the market for larger airplanes, a market that Airbus and Boeing have dominated for decades. Their size and technical expertise have helped them see off any burgeoning competition.

But new challengers in Russia and China want a piece of the market, which both Airbus and Boeing say will be worth more than $5 trillion over the next 20 years.

Helicopter money is money stolen by the super-rich from the middle class and given back to them in part to calm them down so the stealing can continue. It’s kind of like smoking bees. Smoke causes the bees to take up honey and become lethargic so more honey can be extracted without getting stung.

    Jul 15, 2016 15:19 PM

Rick is spot on with “helicopter money.”

I don’t know why so many sites are wasting time speculating on this. Imagine if you found $100 bill or $500 or even $1,000, would that change your entire spending pattern to stimulate the economy? This would be a one-time event. Especially given the fact that living expenses have been increasing rapidly, would you carelessly spend it or bank it or pay off credit card debt?

    Jul 15, 2016 15:22 PM

Why don’t the powers that be just let the American people KEEP their money?

Minera Alamos Inc. Discusses Expansion Potential at La Fortuna Gold Project

mai, cge (Corex) and fmg are all neighbours. All are making progress toward production. Exciting area. I am heavily in FMG and awaiting their plan forward. CGE and MAI have made their plans clear and are making significant progress. FMG has the richest property by far so I can wait.

        Jul 15, 2016 15:39 PM

Thanks Peter R. for the heads up on FMG.

Yes, this is an area of Mexico bustling with exploration and development. I do have First Mexican Gold on my exploration watch-list, and believe they were looking for a JV partner to fund the next phase of their development. Is that right?

I’ll probably spend some time looking back into First Mexican Gold and Corex Gold this weekend to look into grade, drill results, share structure, news, management, etc…. I wonder what the odds are that one of these companies will just consolidate the whole area play?

I had been watching Minera Alamos for a while, because one of the gold stocks I’ve traded for years is Argonaut Gold. When they just purchased that entire mineral processing plant for pennies on the dollar, then it really got my attention, and I’ve started building a position in it over the last few weeks.

Really I was not expecting the shares to pop as much as they did on the news today about expanding the La Fortuna Gold Project, but it just shows that the marketplace is considering the fundamentals on companies again, and while I am a big believer in technical analysis, sometimes news flow and good work still matters.

Thanks again Peter R. for the reminder on these 3 companies. All the best!

          Jul 15, 2016 15:52 PM

Corex Gold looks like it is on a similar path to production like Minera Alamos, and their management team looks solid. Very interesting.

On FMG’s website, there appeared to be a several year news vacuum with the most recent update from Aug 2013. Have they been waiting for a JV partner all this time?
