Yea, good old DROOY. Made my first small fortune (my definition) on this Co. in the late ’90’s. In those days it seems they were re-processing old tailings in SA.
DROOY had the lowest grades and the most leverage to gold of all the S. African stocks. It’s been around over a century like Hecla. HL started in 1891.
Al, why didn’t you tell us about Mariana when it was 5 cents in early July?
Good one Bonzo Barzini. 🙂
Re: Mariana, stock had a 1:10 reverse split in the recent weeks.
Stock wasn’t trading at US 5cts early July… It’s just that Rick’s platform give him the wrong historical price. You can check this in Yahoo Fin for a more accurate share price.
As far as Mariana itself… just a bit of google would have shown a video of Brent Cook discussing the name months ago. Beside, Rick Rule mentioned it a few quarters ago in a Sprott Webinar. Back then, it was trading much lower.
My 2cts.
Best to all,
LPG
Agreed. I’ve heard Brent mention Mariana in the past as well as Mirasol, Almaden & Lydian. I think Bonzo was just making a funny….
LPG – I responded to sen~or Fleck, and gave him the green light, but never heard anything back.
Cheers!
Roger that Shad.
Best,
LPG
Maybe the Russians can find mention of Mariana in Hillary’s deleted emails.
According to an attendee at the #SprottConference Brent Cook recommended these companies in his talks: CXO, EVM, IVN, LRA, MRA, MRZ, NMI, REX, RRI
Happy Hunting.
Great segment today guys. I like to follow along with Rick as he points out the prior peaks that may be resistance levels. Top notch.
Cory – That was an interesting update on the legal situation with Bear Creek Mining.
That will be an interesting interview, as will Sean from Osisko. He’s definitely a force in the mining marketplace. If possible, ask him about the spin-off from Osisko Gold Royalties, which is Osisko Mining (previously Oban Mining).
Cory, please ask Sean what % of his portfolio is in OR ? And ask him why he doesn’t work for $1 a year with no stock options like Rob McEwen at MUX? Thanks.
Check this out why are there no buys or sells listed for Mariana Resources. Is it because management doesn’t list their positions as they should or is this something we need to be concerned about: https://www.canadianinsider.com/company?menu_tickersearch=mra
DT,
Hope all’s well.
Stock got a Canadian listing THIS week…
Best to you,
LPG
Here is an interesting editorial where the author is laying out his interest in (MUX) McEwen mining, and K92 mining, for anyone interested in either company:
