This conference has a number of quality companies that have been vetted by Rick Rule and his team and Osisko is a company I have followed for over a year because of the growth the Company has experienced in a bear market.

Rick Rule has an intellect that sets him apart from most people. He can convey his thoughts that are so easy to follow even for the most challenged, that is the essence of communication, something which this new generation is sadly lacking. DT
That is why I was shocked when on segment 8 of the weekend show he seemed to be implying buy low beta.
That did not make sense to me.
CFS, for most of the regular posters we know how easy it is to lose money on the markets if you are not a seasoned investor, even established companies can go bankrupt, This is something that you can never be prepared for enough no matter who you are. DT

I am seeing a lot of people who are German speakers here in Canada. I don’t think they like Angela Merkel and Canada is a very good fit for people who like law and order. We may be boring but we like law and order. DT
Very interesting. I suspect they sense of the death of German civilization, due to non-assimilation of Islamic economic migrants, combined with the fracturing of the EU.
Merkel handled the assimilation of East Germany into the combined Germany so well, I’m amazed she could be so stupid as to try to compensate for an aging population by allowing in millions of illiterate middle eastern immigrants. What was she thinking?

And Austria has a run-off election in October, which may cause that country to break out of the EU.

This was a great interview on Osisko Cory. Great questions. It was nice to go back and review a trip down memory lane to their first sale of Osisko to Yamana & Agnico Eagle, their merger with Virginia Mines, their financials at launch compared to present day, and plans to acquire streams from the Base Metals and more royalties moving forward.
It was also good that he mentioned their involvement with Osisko Mining, Barkerville gold, and Falco Resources.
If you talk to Sean again, it would be neat to drill down a little further into their spin-out company Osisko Mining (previously named Oban Mining). They are the prospect Generator wing of the business (and Osisko Gold Royalties has a 15.5% interest in them still).
It would be fun to hear Sean speak to how that developed, how their technical team at Osisko Gold Royalties may cross-polinate with the Osisko Mining staff, and what the longer term vision is. If Osisko Mining got a large enough group of royalty streams going, based on their JV partnership successes, would Oskisko Gold Royalties consider buying them back at one point?
Osisko Gold Royalties also has a 1% NSR on the Arizona Mining (WLDVF) (AZ.TO) asset in development, which is another company worth following.
