John Rubino joins us today to chat about the pull back in precious metals stocks. We have been looking for this pullback for a number of months. Now that it is here investors who missed the move this year and those who sold will be looking for an entrance point. The questions is when will it turn back around?

The TYX/PRII has returned to the 13-week EMA, with a little less volatility than the TNX/PRII weekly. What might be suggested here is a decline of the long end of the curve, but notable to the discussion is that gold prices are also testing their 13-week EMA.

I love John and his general opinions but side with Al a bit more on how much to put into Jr’s. If one puts only 10%, many small investors will promise there selves one thing………..they’ll remain small! Obviously, buying small miners is gambling. However, the payoff when one hits a 5-10 bagger is so enormous, I’ll take the risk. In today’s world, what is the alternative? 1-2% with bonds and massive risk. Buying a conventional market that’s been going up for 7 years??? I started with $38,000 this year and I’m now at 103,000. 40,000 of that is cash at the moment. We’re really approaching a once or twice in a lifetime chance I believe to make some big money. I’m also prepared to accept the losses if those digits disappear.
With that said, is anyone looking at PPP. It has given back all except 8 cents of this years massive gain. Doc at one time was looking for it to drift down. I’d be interested to know if he is still watching it.

Silver I agree wholeheartedly. We may be ’49ers but for the moment many of us are doing a great deal better than selling picks and shovels only to dig dirt.

My personal experience has been that when a sector is washed out you just dump all the money in. If you put money in piecemeal you lose a lot of your gains.
