“There is also the convertible loan that Eros Resources has for Skeena shares. I think they already own some shares in addition to this deal:

Eros Converts Skeena Loan to Shares
“Eros Resources Corp. (TSX.V: ERC) has informed Skeena Resources Limited, subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval, that it will convert its $1.5 million loan into 25,000,000 Skeena common shares at a deemed price of $0.06 per share. In June of 2015, Eros originally earned an interest in the Spectrum property for a $1.5 million demand loan to be applied towards eligible exploration expenditures. The loan was convertible into Skeena shares at Eros’ option. ”

As an example – All of that info on Skeena resources was on the weekend show.
There were 400+ other posts that are still there after the pruning, that were just as informative.
Metalic Minerals $MMG was previously Monster Mining $MAN.
For those that recall the Monster’s property (now Metallic Minerals – a much better name) is adjactent to both Alexco $AXR on Keno Hill, and their other property in adjactent to ATAC Resources $ATC. The geologist promoter Greg Johnson, just became CEO of $MMG was the prior CEO of Wellgreen Platinum $WG , before they (Wellgreen) brought in Diane R. Garrett, the prior CEO of Romarco Minerals, who just sold their mine and merged with OceanaGold $OGC .
I had posted this release on Monday since we had laughed about Monster Mining’s name and reviewed them in the past. I just know there is a fair bit of interest in Alexco on this blog, so it may be a good idea to check out their neighbor.

Metallic Minerals Corp. Appoints Greg Johnson as CEO and Chairman
September 19, 2016, Vancouver, B.C.,
speaking of Wellgreen Platinum and Diane Garrett…..
Wellgreen Platinum Ltd. – Precious Metals Summit – Beaver Creek 2016
Diane Garrett, President & CEO
(TSX: WG)
Dick Tracy – I think Wellgreen Platinum may finally have the right people in place with the new management team, the recovering metals prices, the need to source PGMs OUTSIDE of Russian and S. Africa, the bonanza grade massive asset, and now the focus on the Yukon for mining.
If you haven’t watched their presentation from Beaver Creek yet, it is worth the time.
Confused –
I am not sure if you saw my continued review of K92 Mining that we’ve been discussing. There was an update I posted on Monday in the Exeter Resources blog, but it was important to note that the 200 day EMA did in fact hold at $1.08 as predicted, and the stock just took a gap up over the 34 day EMA which is significant IMO.
Here’s the re-post from Monday so you can see the rationale and the chart:
_________________________________________________________________________
—-> On September 20, 2016 at 9:18 am,
Excelsior says:
“P.S. – I just remembered to check in on KNT (K92) That we discussed last Thur/Frid.
—-> On September 16, 2016 at 7:47 am,
Excelsior says:
“So for KNT it is at next support at the 200 day EMA @ $1.08. K92 will still need to prove itself by breaking above the 34 day EMA to the upside when it does bounce and go back up to test that next time.”
“As a clarification I was using the 200 day EMA at $1.08, but after reading his [Matthew’s] response more carefully he was discussing the 200 day SMA at $.93. Both are levels worth considering for where support will come in, but first stop is $1.08.”
______________________________
So far so good with K92 bouncing as expected at the 200 day EMA. Not surprisingly, KNT went down and tagged $1.08 and bounced, but it hasn’t had a ton of conviction. I’d get more bullish if it can pierce through the 34 day EMA resistance.
I included all 3 moving averages (34, 200 EMA, 200 SMA) for illustrative purposes.
http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=KNT.V&p=D&yr=0&mn=4&dy=0&id=p10419731679
As you can see in the chart above, not only did the 200 day EMA hold as predicted last Thursday, but now the 34 Day EMA was taken out after bumping it’s head on it the last 2 prior attempts.
This is just one of the 48 posts from Monday’s Exeter Resource editorial, that is crammed with many other informative updates, for anyone that missed that.
Cheers!
The question now is whether KNT will be able to hold onto that 34 day EMA. With an reversed hammer, that is usually a bit bearish, so it may need to go back and fill that gap up it just made and consolidate before the next leg higher. Just my 2 cents.
EX,
Yes I did see your updates on K92. Unfortunately, I put more into my Novo position last week. I wanted to buy but K92 but was concerned that a rate hike would have put more pressure on the stock. Believe it or not, I thought of Novo as a defensive play! Yes, I’m a gold bull;). If gold runs up to the upper range I might lighten up a bit and maybe get a revisit this stock after the next pullback….assuming there is one. I guess it has another 30% upside from here. It is on a tear though so the alpha on this sucker is insane. Very tempting to chase here.
Sounds good. Yes I like the looks of Novo Resources as well for the longer term and have posted why a few different times recently.
As for K92, you had mentioned you were considering buying for the bounce, and I was hoping you may have snagged it at that 200 day EMA at $1.08 where we thought it may bounce.
http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=KNT.V&p=D&yr=0&mn=4&dy=0&id=p10419731679
Regardless, I could see it pulling back to fill that gap, so there will be another entry point soon enough.
Cheers!
Ex thanks. ….I’ll put some gas in the truck and start idling waiting for a green light in case another buying opportunity presents itself. Having said that, I am still pretty happy with my other truck that is filled with Nova:)
I’m also concerned I don’t have enough Exeter….looks like she could blow upward soon.
Yes, I’don’t have any gas in any of them at this time, but have considered buying all 3 K92, Novo Resources, and Exeter. I have been a shareholder of Exeter in the past.
I sent Matthew a list of some undervalued miners I own or am targeting (besides the ones we all hashed out on here many times previously). I’d enjoy any feedback you have on the ones I mentioned in that post to him below about finding undervalued or unloved stocks that have gone unnoticed.
It would be great to get any feedback or thoughts.
Never hurts to review before a test!
+1 🙂
The reason for the review was because Skeena was one of the stocks covered today.
In addition, someone had made a post on the wrap up yesterday that there was only drama lately and not any investing ideas discussed. I would submit that despite the drama there was a max load of great investing ideas and stocks reviewed over the weekend and on Monday.
If anyone goes back an looks at the weekend show as it exists now (after it has been cleaned up), it is a huge resource. I know I personally spent most of the weekend trying to find relevant and helpful posts on investing to contribute, and was simply blown away by all the great posts from all (well almost all) of the KER contributors. I’m still going back to review some of the info personally, and think it is funny when people just rush on to the next day’s editorial and forget about all the good content that is already posted that they likely never even got to yet.
Keep the great investing ideas coming.
Ever Upward!
I was reviewing as well,….but was stressful,….today relief….proexdepends almost got a workout !

The battle for $1340 continues.
Several years ago I mentioned this was the key level.
This turned out to be 100% accurate.
Anyone can see the Bulls and bears have been battling around this level for months now.
Yesterday I said we need to take this level out and it was now or never.
After yesterday’s FED decision gold should have blasted through this level, but the dark side is throwing everything at gold to keep it under this level.
I’ve been saying it for years repeatedly – but I will repeat it again…
We must take out $1340!
its sad actually that it took the support of the posters here to make it obvious who we all have benifited from the most in 2016 being Matt and his charts…Doc very little.. too bad Al and Cory were clueless as they defended Bird. we are paying attention are you Al…Cory? Good to see the one who has called 2016 correctly is back!
The main thing….it is done!
I posted I preferred Birds input, as others mentioned they appreciated Bird.
Bob M was deleted too, quite a few were. seems to me Al/Cory dont actually read their blog, guess thats been obvious to pretty much everyone.
I figure Shad/ Mat must be donating more than others to the site
Nice to still have Rick,Chris.
Thanks jr but don’t jinx me – I’m not perfect either! 😮 🙂
Glad your back Matt. As mentioned previously, I am a big fan.
I had actually asked Al for your personal email address, but never received a response.
When I read your posting about departure, and seeing supportive comments from others, I seriously reflected upon whether or not I would continue visiting this site.
Thanks Canuckski, I appreciate it.
Sheit mang…looks like you won’t be able to take a vacay until 2021!!!
We should be so lucky, Confused. I’ll take 5 years of bull market gains any day!
5 years of bull market gains sound very nice indeed.
Well said jr!!
+1 JR. Well said.
been watching it James.
Jr – you are not alone in your opinion.
I understand where you are coming from
At least we dont have to worry about Grant,Kotlikov,Keen and their ilk cluttering up the blog.
Who needs that kinda insight?
b,
I strongly disagree.
I believe we should all look at as much information and data as possible.
What we don’t need are snide comments and opinions not backed up with reasoning or logical arguments.
It was Kotlikof who first calculated the off the books US debt obligations. It will be those $120 Trillion dollars that destroy the US economy eventually.
Great point CFS.
ur right cfs, and we dont need worry he shows up here.
He is beyond lists etc
We came within a hair of a raise in interest rates. But since the prefed hysteria is over the biggest mover is interest rates at the short end of the curve. $IRX has declined precipitously away from any notion that a rate hike is anywhere near possible. Stockcharts.com post the rate as 1.7, but this is really 0.17%. A rate hike would have required 0.35% or better on the treasury bill rate.
FranSix – Paul W had some interesting comments down below on Golden Brand.
I remember you posting some interesting financial remarks for when they come out of credit protection, or what was being disclosed in their releases.
If you feel up to posting any updates as to the present situation with Golden Brand down below, it may be of interest to a few readers here, since you are the resident expert as far as that company is concerned.
Cheers!
Thank’s Rick Cory !

Let’s see how they end up at the end of today.
Is that the KITCO List? As you can see from yesterday’s top performers, some of the best performing stocks are not the Kitco list. This has been true all year long by the way. 🙂
If people only like the Kitco list, then they really should just by the ETFs GDX, GDXJ, SGDM, SGDJ, or the funds GLDX, TGLDX, or USERX.
Way easier, no research required, and you get the trend.
Investing in individual companies is far riskier for those that don’t want to put in the time and research. However, it is more rewarding to be “selective,” and look for the unseen or unrealized opportunities.
May everyone do well in their investing.
*** GLDX is now GOEX
GO EX!
Wow – hadn’t heard that. GO EX – Great name!
Nice! Thanks for the heads up and the chart Matthew.
One thing to note with miners is the Explorers often have the most extreme upside or downside moves, and really react to news-flow more than the other sectors, that react to technical trading more.
Almost none of the Explorers are included in the Kitco lists, and there are many of the Development stage, Advanced Deposits, and Prospector Generators missing as well. Heck, there are about 2/3 of the small Gold producers (doing less than 100K ounces per year) missing on the Kitco lists.
Often, this is where the unseen potential and best gains will be found.
Cheers
As a reminder – I did post 4 TARGETED LISTS on the weekend show that you won’t find on Kitco:
1) Development Stage – Advanced Deposits (These make up some of the best takeover candidates in the marketplace)
2) Prospect Generators – This list took a long time to hunt down and find, and took a lot of crowd-sourced feedback from investors on multiple sites to create it. Their model of JVing out their land packages for royalties, parital-earn ins, or shares is a unique business model
3) Gold Exploration companies – This was the longer list on the weekend show, but I’ve never seen as complete of a list of Explorers anywhere. I am positive that some were missed, so if anybody has any suggestions to add to the Exploration list (that are not on the Development stage or ProspectGenerators lists for Gold, then please send me a message).
4) Miners with Zinc exposure – This list was the best I’ve been able to come up with thus far for companies that have the ability to capitalize on the rising Zinc prices. As Matthew mentioned when he brought up Americas Silver Corp, there are a number of Silver companies with very nice Zinc credits that I didn’t include on that list because they were already on the Silver Miners list. The vast majority of Silver miners have Zinc and Lead by-products, but they get applied to the Silver Equivalent prices, so I left most of the Silver miners off the Zinc list. Arizona Mining , Trevali, and Avrupa were exceptions due to their high Zinc exposure.
Hope that helps with why a targeted list can help out investors.
Cheers.
Mining is a risky business, which means that to ensure the most value for investors, mining, development and exploration companies need to work on reducing that risk. Looking specifically at the junior resource sector, some companies choose to adopt the prospect generator model, which works to reduce some of the uncertainty involved in resource exploration.
The role of a prospect generator is to identify properties that it thinks are prospective, and then completes early stage exploration on its own. Later, if the project is indeed promising, the prospect generator will seek a joint venture partner that is often older and has more significant working capital. The larger company then pays for further drilling and exploration work, which is more expensive, in exchange for a share of the project, John Kaiser explained in a 2013 interview with Resource Investing News.
“What [the prospect generator model] does is it recognizes the real low odds of success on any individual prospect and vends that risk off to somebody with more money, or at least [the guts], to spend it and see if there’s something there,” Brent Cook, a geologist with the newsletter Exploration Insights, told Mining Markets. “It keeps shareholder dilution to a minimum, and eventually what happens is when a company does make a discovery — if they do — as shareholders, we get a bigger lift in share price, although we don’t necessarily own all the deposit.”
Prospect generation is fairly common, especially for junior resource exploration companies. Their work involves very basic geological tasks like research and compilation, as well as low-level fieldwork like sampling, prospecting and mapping. Of course, that means to succeed prospect generators must have talented geologists and support staff on board. Often, the largest expense for a project generator is logistics and support, as many potential projects are located in developing countries that may not have much infrastructure.
In terms of joint venture agreements, prospect generator companies generally surrender between 51 and 70 percent of their projects to partners. The prospect generator serves as a temporary operator in many cases, as it has already begun exploration on the site and has staff familiar with the lay of the land. Usually, companies are paid a fee of 10 percent of the budget for rendering these particular services. At some point, the prospect generator begins to be obligated to fund its own share of exploration and development — or only earn royalties from the project.
This business model is generally successful due to the ability of the prospect generator to work on several projects at once and to maintain a low burn rate and relatively high cash flow. The model described above is prospect generation in its most basic form.
“I like the prospect generator model because it gives a company exposure to a multitude of projects that someone else is spending their money to explore,” geologist Mickey Fulp explained. “It allows a company to do relatively low-cost exploration, grassroots-style prospecting and reconnaissance exploration and preserve its capital without diluting.”
According to Mining Markets, the model is not particularly common in exploration in comparison to traditional junior explorers.
With so many junior gold companies chipping away at exploration projects, here is a look at several companies working with the prospect generator model on their projects.
Avrupa Minerals
When it comes to prospect generation, Avrupa Minerals (TSXV:AVU) is quite focused on European resource plays. The company has a slew of mineral deposits in Europe in locations such as Portugal, Kosovo and Germany. Current exploration projects include sites in the Iberian Pyrite Belt and North Portugal Gold Belt. In Eastern Germany the company has gold and tin exploration licenses.
Mirasol Resources
Latin America-focused Mirasol Resources (TSXV:MRZ) specializes in exploration in the Deseado Massif volcanic region of Southern Argentina, which is highly prolific for both gold and silver. Mirasol has also expanded to Northern Chile, where it has projects including copper-gold in a porphyry district.
Colombian Mines
Colombian Mines (TSXV:CMJ) acquires, explores and advances mineral properties in Colombia. Colombia is highly prospective for gold, copper and silver and has a favorable business climate, according to the company’s website. Colombian Mines’ exploration program tends to culminate in joint venture agreements to advance its properties, as is typical with prospect generation.
Estrella Gold
Also in South America is Estrella Gold (TSXV:EST), which is focused on making new gold discoveries in Peru. Currently, the company holds three properties in venture agreements under which its partner is funding all associated programs. The company has entered these agreements with three separate companies, illustrating the flexible nature of prospect generator model.
Almaden Minerals
Looking for gold, silver and copper in North America’s west, Almaden Minerals (TSX:AMM) has set its sights on Mexico for its mineral exploration. The company’s main project is the Tulligtic project in the state of Puebla. The company also has projects in Canada and the United States.
Riverside Resources
According to its website, Riverside Resources (TSXV:RRI) is a well-funded prospect generator that has demonstrated consistent growth through its portfolio of gold, silver and copper projects. Riverside holds a mineral location database from decades of combined field research that it uses to find possible projects that other companies might overlook, according to its website. The company has projects in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
Tarsis Resources
Tarsis Resources (TSXV:TCC) is both a project generator and early stage exploration company on the lookout for economic gold, silver and base metals deposits. Tarsis has projects in Mexico, Canada and the United States
Maybe just me but I think anyone that cant find this info on their own should hire someone to take care of their investing.
Due diligence is far more than what is discussed on this site.
Good article on a FEW of the Prospect Generators B. I posted that a few weeks back in fact.
Once again, there is not list that I have ever seen that has as many ProspectGenerators all collected in one place as the one that was posted on the weekend show. The challenge is that editorials or newsletter writers typically only highlight a few companies that they KNOW of or are paid to promote.
The lists I have posted were collaborative efforts where I crowd-sourced good ideas from many investors based on their feedback and suggestions.
At the moment those lists are unique to KER and CEO.CA because that is the only place the exist online.
Some of the lists have taken 7 years to compile, and I am not aware of any lists that are strictly sorted into all of the Major gold producers, Mid-tiers Gold producer (100,000 – 1,000,000 ounces), Small gold producers (under 100,000 ounces per year), Development stage companies that will go into production in 2 year and may have infrastructure in place, Prospect Generators, and Exploration.
In addition, I’ve never seen any place with all the Silver miners, PGM exposure miner, Zinc Miners, Uranium Miners all in one place.
One website may have a few, another may have some overlap but show other ones, an article may rattle off a few, and even Uranium-focused websites don’t have complete lists.
If you can ‘t see the value to someone having gone around and sorted the list down to a manageable size, and found a ton of companies that you’ve never even heard of, then there is no help for you, and those lists were not intended for you.
The list is a way to narrow down the universe of choices to a TARGETED selection based on specific criteria. It is only the first step in the journey.
The idea is to take the list and research the companies to find out which ones you want on your shopping list based on your own unique weighting of Management, Assets, type of commodity, Jursidiction, environmental concerns, infrastructure in place, and balance sheet.
After an investor has done their due diligence on the fundamentals, then they should scan over the press releases to see if there are drill results about to be announced, or a quarterly report about to be filed, or a major announcement coming up about a merger, or asset sale, etc….
After all that, then the technical picture can be analyzed to look for a good entry and exit strategy in a given stock.
Some people only look at the balance sheet and technical charts to evaluate a company, but they often miss a dramatic move that came as a result of fundamental driver like a drilling discovery or new partnership, that can only be found by pouring over press releases.
Just a few thoughts on how to use lists and tips on DD.
Cheers!
I am certain people on this site are lost without you Shad.
Latin America’s mining sector is finally recovering from an economic downturn brought by almost two years of sustained slump in commodity prices. But growth in the region won’t be led by the usual favourites, such as Chile, but by two of the countries that have steadily fallen out of favour with investors as of late — Peru and Brazil.
According to the latest analysis by BMI Research, Peru’s significant copper project pipeline and Brazil’s competitive iron ore sector are set to offset internal political and operational risks to consolidate them as the main drivers of investment in Latin America’s mining sector.
Chile, however, will continue to be the No.1 mining country, especially when it comes to copper, producing an additional 346,000 tonnes between now and 2020. While Argentina, with its new pro-mining President Mauricio Macri, is expected to recover some lost ground.
Peru, Brazil to emerge Latin America’s new mining gems
The road ahead for Argentina won’t be easy. Despite holding rich deposits of copper, gold, silver, zinc and lithium, local regulations are tough — seven of the country’s 23 provinces currently ban open-pit mining altogether due to environmental concerns.
BMI Research expect companies operating in Latin America to continue facing several key political and operational risks, including underdeveloped infrastructure, labour unrest and illegal gold mining. But the expert say the severity of those issues will vary significantly in each country.
Peru, Brazil to emerge Latin America’s new mining gems
They predict a relatively smooth sailing for miners in Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Brazil. Central American countries and Venezuela, on the other hand, are expected to pose more challenges, particularly in terms of limited infrastructure, lack of reforms and heightened security and political risks.
Labour unrest is another big risk in the area as strikes raise costs and dent output for firms, as it happened with BHP Billiton’s Spence copper mine in Chile and South32’s nickel output at the Cerro Matoso mine in Colombia.
Finally BMI report warns that environmental regulations will likely tighten, especially after the Samarco disaster in Brazil, and predicts this factor will result in higher costs and possible project delays for miners
Well, I do get a steady stream of investors on both sites KER and CEO that thank me for the lists, as they often find a number of companies that they are unaware of to follow up with their own due diligence.
As for being “lost” apparently that is your specialty, not mine.
I like the lists because I often find names that I’m not familiar with for those times when I need to find a new company for the portfolio. I like to screen for certain criteria/setups so the more the better.
It seems unbelievable now but I had never heard of Claude when I used Google to find it many years ago.
Great point Matthew. Many of the big winners I’ve had last year and this year were not covered on Kitco or in the ETFs.
Yes, when we were discussing the changes in Claude in 2013 and 2014 – I don’t remember anyone else covering them. Eventually in 2015 people caught on long after the easy money was made.
When were were discussing Jaguar mining, Aurcana, Nicola Mining, Scorpio Silver (now Americas Silver) and Scorpio Gold, Wildcat Silver (now Arizona Mining), Alexco, and Avino at the end of 2015 and early 2016 hardly anyone was discussing them.
Ryan and I were talking about Mexus gold on here earlier in the year before it went up over 2000% this year (guess what, in addition to our reviews, it was on the Development stage lists and anyone else could have checked into and bought in on their own).
We posted PGM lists that highlighted companies that were easy multi-baggers this year, and I haven’t seen a PGM list like that on any sites I frequent.
Skeeta has posted a ton of awesome Australian miners that anyone could have checked out and made a fortune on (directly or through the OTC versions), and hardly any of them are on the Kitco lists or covered by the prominent newsletter writers… but they got added to the lists posted here on the KER.
I posted Lithium Lists in 2015 and early 2016 where any investor could have gone and got positioned in Galaxy Resources, Lithium Americas Corp, Nemaska Lithium, Orocobre, Neometals, Lithium X, Critical Elements corp, etc…. looong before they had their epic bull runs this year.
We were covering Uranium companies individually and posting targeted lists long before Fission, Nexgen, and Canalaska took off like scalded cats earlier this year.
Like you mentioned Matthew: “I often find names that I’m not familiar with for those times when I need to find a new company for the portfolio.”
Bingo!
I had to laugh at myself about Claude. Here was this well established long time producer of the sort that would interest me and I didn’t know about? It was hiding in plain site. The lesson was to be careful about what we think we know.
Btw, it turns out Chris Temple knew of Claude for at least 20 years and had visited the site in the late ’90s, I think.
Yes, Big Al was aware of Claude for years as well. When we were discussing it as way undervalued, and doing a damn good job turning around their operations in 2013 and 2014, he said they had a “nice little mine” that he had visited, but wasn’t a fan of investing in them. Then in 2015 when it was more obvious that they were making an upwards ascent, I remember Doc going positive on Claude. Towards the end of 2015 or early 2016 when they were well into their growth mode from their work in 2013, 2014, and 2015 they were labeled as a “turn-around story”. IMO they had made that turn long before this year, and by getting positioned early I still made a nice chunk of change of that “nice little mine”. As you are aware, I sold way too early on that one though.
Anyway – there are tons of companies that get very little coverage that are making great strides to improve things. If people just wait for it to become obvious to everyone, then much of the opportunity will have eroded.
Let’s keep finding more sleeper successes in the making!
Doc found out about Claude in the late summer of 2013 if I remember his words correctly.
That may be the case, but he certainly wasn’t discussing on here like we were. In fact, other than the occasional chime in from rogue posters, it was really just you and I discussing it until Glenfidish joined in the fun. I remember Doc thanking you for having him take another look at it back in 2015, so it wasn’t on his radar at that point in time. I would say because of you Matthew, it went on all our radars, so for that — thanks a million.
My comment about Doc highlighting Claude was when they started the KER newsletter and recommended it to readers at the end of 2015 going into 2016. That is when most started following it on here and Doc did a great job highlighting it, but it was mentioned that new management team that came in mid 2015 was the reason for the turn-around, and as you know, it was years of hard work before that with the mine reducing costs, improving slopes, adding in the Santoy Gap and 8 assets, and the reduction in fuel / currency exchange that made the biggest impacts, far before the new management team was even there. They simply carried forward with the same best practices but they got the kudos.
The point was, often it is when the masses are not following a company that has all the right ingredients and positive progress that there is a re-rating in a stock that will come. The goal should be to keep finding those opportunities and get in position before it gets rerated. Jaguar, Nicola Mining, and Mexus are just more examples, along with the other mentioned up above.
Let’s go find more of them 🙂
… and yes, I’m going to look into Galgane Gold.
I appreciate the recommendations as always sir.
There are actually a number of sleeper companies that I feel will have a bright future, and some I’ve mentioned (like Nicola, Mexus, Aurcana, Arizona mining, Ivanhoe, Dolly Varden, Defiance, etc…) have already had big moves, so I’ll revisit a few of the recent additions that I’d enjoy getting your thoughts on:
Brixton Metals – Prior producing Langis Silver mine in Ontario, Gold/Silver Thorn exploration property in the Golden Triangle area of BC. Stakeholders are Hecla, Rob McEwen, and Eric Sprott. Seems like a solid company to me.
Marlin Gold – Producing mine, development project, ownership of Sailfish Royalty company with streaming deal with Golden Reign, and NSR on the Kootenay Silver Project, and Endeavours next Silver project.
Golden Valley Mines – They own 49% of Abitibi Royalties, but also have 4% of Sirios Resources, a 15% JV and 3% NSR with Bonterra, and partial ownership of a Uranium company with Rob McEwen as a strategic investor, and partial ownership of Nunavik Nickel. The fact that Abitibi Royalties is valued so highly and GZZ is valued so low is what surprises me.
Still a fan of Gryphon Minerals, but still in the process of being taken over by Teranga Gold, and the combined company is going to be a monster.
Avnel Gold – With the speed bump that Orezone hit, I now believe Avnel Gold will be the next gold mine to make it into commercial production (although technically Aureus Mining is still ramping back up into commercial production at present).
Hummingbird Resources – huge development project in W. Africa with a number of strategic investors like Sprott Inc behind them.
Cyprium Mining – They just went back into silver production and it is like hardly anyone noticed or cares.
Santacruz Silver has their act together lately. I’ve been more impressed than in years past.
Montan Mining just paid down a 4% NSR on the mine they just acquired, and they have been putting development equipment in place. I talk with on of the officers over there some times, and I remain impressed with their progress, and surprised that almost nobody seems to care.
Santa Fe gold – same thing – developing like crazy and have gone unnoticed until recently.
Minera Alamos – just bought a mine and got tons of equipment on the cheap. I posted their corporate presentation from Beaver Creek in the last few days, but have been a shareholder for a few months now. It took a nose dive yesterday, but still, I see potential.
Silver bear – I’m very happy LPG pointed out the convertible debt overhang, and yes they are in Russia, but I can’t shake it, I like their development story. Am I just being an idiot on this one?
Heron Resources, Pasinex, and Tinka Resources all seem like very undervalued Zinc plays to me.
Wellgreen Platinum is still really undervalued as a Nickel/PGM/Copper massive deposit. I feel the fact that they played musical chairs and put the current CEO in charge of Monster Mining (now Metallic Minerals) next to Alexco, and move in the old CEO of Romarco into Wellgreen Platinum (since she was available after selling her last company to OceanaGold- which I mentioned a dozen times would get taken over), I believe she will repeat that success with Wellgreen.
Northern Shield has a dream team going elephant hunting for a huge PGM/Nickel system, and they have 4 different targets identified. They are JVing the first target right now and should release news on if it is a hit or a miss any day now. Keep an eye on that, but even if it is a miss they have 3 other targets.
Teuton Resources / Tudor Gold / American Creek – All 3 companies are JV’d up together in a Golden Triangle land scramble between Pretium and Seabridge. Teuton also has the JV projects directly with Pretium, Millrock, and Silver Grail (encircling IDM mining’s development project).
I have more, but would enjoy any thoughts or feedback (Good, bad, ugly, undervalued, comparative, etc…) on a few of these.
Ex, I think you’re right. I was off by a year about Doc and Claude – around Sept. ’14 is more like it. Not that it matters. I’m way off my original point about my own ignorance of its existence despite my years in the sector.
Galane looks very good here, both technically and from a “boots on the ground” standpoint.

Matthew – I’ve been beating on the Brixton drum the last few months, and even asked you and others directly about it a few times. 🙂
Brian and I have even discussed it a few times just in the last week or so.
Get with the program man! 🙂 🙂
But, but, but Ex, it was trading around $1.00 to $1.20 2-3 months ago! Where was the memo at .05-.10 ?!

There is very little discussion of this stock, but a fellow investor brought it to my attention lately and it seems like a solid exploration/development/near term production story.

I’m just amazed at how many companies Rob has a partial stake in outside of (MUX) McEwen Mining….. Lexam VG, Abitibi Royalties, Uranium Valley Mines, Brixton Metals, (are there any others?).
* As mentioned last week, one can own Golden Valley Mines (GZZ.V) (GLVMF) and get 1/2 of Abitibi Royalties, 37% of Uranium Valley mines, and still get 60% of a Nickel company, 15% of a Gold JV with Bonterra, 4% of Sirios Resources, and options on 75 other properties.

“As for Brixton Metals – I’m a big fan. Rob McEwen, Sprott, and Hecla think so too.”
Ok, you got me with the December and March posts; I woulda coulda shoulda acted on those. The rest wouldn’t have done it for me.
And I do remember it being discussed recently, I just didn’t look at the chart. You can’t kiss all the girls, there’s simply not enough time or money.
Ha! So true. It reminds me of a quote a great philosopher once uttered……
“If you can’t own all of them, at least own some of them.” – Brian
Welcome back Ex.
I’m doing some weeding today.
Canasil & Patriot, and probably Impact, are first into the woodshed I think.
Can’t quite remember why the first 2 are in th PF…probably news of a JV.
They are actually up, so there’s a small profit from a small holding in each case. They took a long time to turn round; must have held them for 18 months.
Anyone got any strong views on these companies?
I mean, there’s better ones out there and I’m de-cluttering, but If someone has strong views on them I’d love to hear ’em.
Impact doesn’t look great to me today, and I think there’s better silver.…
I don’t hold Canasil or Patriot. I thought Patriot was coal, but just realized there is a Patriot Gold, so I’ll add that to the Gold Explorers list.
I have a position in place with Impact Silver, and feel it will still do well over the course of the bull run in PMs because it has one of the purest exposures (89%) to silver of any other company. More than First Majestic and Great Panther even.
Haven’t checked in on the Canasil / Orex JV to see what they are up to. They had some very impressive exploration results earlier this year, but I don’t know if their drill campaign is over, or if there are cores sent to the assay waiting on results, or where they are at in that process.
Since many companies stop drilling in October-March due to site access in the winter, there is the mad dash each late spring – early fall to get properties drilled and explored. This is the best time of year to position in companies waiting on drill results, as they can cause a company to jump up substantially if they hit a major discovery, and this won’t be reflected in the technical charts in many cases.
There is a great new room they developed over at ceo that is just focused on companies doing drilling at present. Check it out:
Gold bulls are out of the barn today and they are all about good news.
According to Bloomberg, McEwen Mining CEO Robert McEwen said at a recent conference in Colorado Springs that the metal could trade in a range of $1,700 an ounce to $1,900 by the end of the year.
After three consecutive annual losses, gold prices have risen 24% this year. Spot gold was Wednesday 0.87% at $1,326.10 an ounce at 13:05 ET, while U.S. gold futures climbed 0.88% to $1,329.8 an ounce.
McEwen attaches the uptrend to record-low global interest rates and the uncertainty around both the U.S. election and the stability of global currencies and sovereign debt. He says that investors will get so anxious that they will turn to gold as a store of value and an alternative asset.
A very much expected Federal Reserve decision has traders predicting an interest-rate hike at only 22%.
Meanwhile, McEwen even thinks bullion could reach $5,000 in four years.
Similarly, Old Mutual Global Investors’ managing director of commodities Diego Parrilla told Bloomberg that the yellow metal is at the start of a multi-year bull run. On top of low-interest rates, Parrilla says investors’ nerves are also being shaken by what he calls a “monetary policy without limits” that has central banks printing lots of money.
The Bank of Japan, for example, removed all time limits on its QE money-creation scheme on Wednesday and vowed to push inflation above its 2.0% target.
In this scenario, the Old Mutual Global Investors exec anticipates that gold will continue to perform strongly, as other asset classes lose value.
Even though he didn’t give a specific figure, Parrilla’s forecast matches that of Rosland Capital’s Jeffrey Nichols. A month ago, the firm’s economic advisor explained to MINING.com that gold has been trading “inversely to equities – and, consequently, the yellow metal stands to gain much when Wall Street tumbles.”
Nichols also foresees a boom market in the coming years, although he is a bit more cautious in his estimates. He says that $1,400 an ounce by the end of 2016 would be a reasonable price
B – That was a good post that did provide some value – Thanks.
I agree, Ex. Big picture, Impact Silver is likely to continue to do extremely well. The exploration upside is massive and the management team is competent, prudent, and conservative. Its share count, lack of debt, and performance this year (ten-bagger+) are testaments to that.
The current correction appears to be near its end. If so, new highs for the year will not be far off.

With respect to risk, it is a “senior” junior in my book.
I concur – Impact Silver is in my 20-company portfolio. As Matthew mentioned … With IMPACT you need to think of it as a Junior Explorer that is 100% funded through mining/production, rather than just ANOTHER small silver company in Mexico with average financials.
.
Great points Matthew. I was aware of it vaguely, but it wasn’t until your posts that I started garnering some appreciation for Impact Silver. If you remember, I tried to get shares filled several times that didn’t, so I opted for Silvercorp instead. It would be impolite of me not to tip my hat to you out of respect and report that I would have had a better percentage return with Impact Silver (although Silvercorp did pretty dang good).
Brian, I’m glad you brought that up again what Matthew said about them being a fully funded exploration company (like Scorpio Gold or Alkane Resources), where the mining revenues are used to grow organically the huge upside.
Good stuff guys! Much appreciated.
Matthew got me into Impact with some charts-n-grades, but I waited too long – I bought in the $US .18-.20 congestion zone. The same for Brixton – I’m getting in late, in the $US .50-55 zone. Buy&Hold for years for both stocks, hopefully.
Matthew has drastically improved my retirement 🙂
We’re in the same boat Brian. I also got into Brixton & Impact Silver a bit late as well, because I was more focused in other stocks for the initial PM run from Jan to August. However, I have started averaging into a position for the longer term, as I see both being winners throughout the unfolding Bull market in metals over the next few years. Longer term they’ll appreciate higher, and if they fall back, I’ll average down to lower my cost basis.
Yes, Matthew has definitely helped my retirement account as well. It’s amazing what can happen when people work together to share good ideas, and his thoughts are always appreciated.

B – how did you SORT this list? Did you have a way of grouping them together in a way that is relevant to investors? If so – please expand you thinking or it would be nice if you included a header on the list so we know how they were GROUPED (like what SUB-SECTOR and what CRITERIA you used to group them).
You’ve mentioned in the past how against lists you were, so maybe you are still learning their value.
The value to a well sorted list like (Development Stage Gold companies, or Top performers year-to-date, or PGM companies, or Prospect Generators), is that there aren’t good lists for those on any one website.
The value of a good list is how it is sorted, and it can save the investor countless hours of trying to find all the “Small Gold producers doing less than 100,000 ounces per year).
I never just sprayed lists for the sake of it, if that is what you are doing. Just a thought.

I miss any?
*List’s without rationale and defining criteria behind them have little value, but I did see a few interesting companies on there to follow up on, so thanks for the effort.
Are you taking the piss ?!
That wasn’t aimed at you Ex.
No worries,.. when you were asking about taking the piss I knew it was directed at B.
I’d add talking along with taking. 🙂
+1
Ha! That wasn’t “excessive”!
Corey?
I’m not sure that b understands the value of a “TARGETED” list with specific criteria.
He’s mentioned in the past how much he doesn’t like scrolling through lists that are about 1/10th the length, so I can’t understand why he would post all these jumbled lists with Biotech, water companies, resource companies, financial companies all mashed together.
Unless B was just trying to be purposely disruptive on the blog because his BFF got canned?
B – I still don’t understand what you were trying to achieve since there is no rhyme or reason to your unsorted, mashup, of random companies, and there are tons of different sectors are all squeezed together.
Since the KER is a website geared around resource investing, I can only speak to those sectors…. and yeah, you missed some.
You’d probably get more benefit out of just visiting the last 2 weekend shows where there were targeted lists posted from each of the mining sub-sectors.
That would be a good jumping off point to start your due diligence.
Hope that helps clear things up for you.
Didnt want you to miss any Shad.
I am sure you have done a complete DD on all of them, mind commenting from the top?
B – I commented to you at the top about how lists work, and about how due diligence works. You may want to go up and read that post as you don’t seem to get how this works…..
B – you can see my comments right up above about how a list that is Sorted using specific criteria has a large amount of value to investors. So start there first.
Then as far as due diligence on companies within that targeted list here is the response I sent to you that got buried in your unsorted gobble-d-gook and the propsect generator article you posted (that I had already posted twice on this site), that is FAR from complete and contains questionable assumptions in parts regardless.
_________________________________________________________________________
Once again, there is not list that I have ever seen that has as many Prospect Generators all collected in one place as the one that was posted on the weekend show.
The challenge is that editorials or newsletter writers typically only highlight a few companies that they KNOW of or are paid to promote.
The lists I have posted were collaborative efforts where I crowd-sourced good ideas from many investors based on their feedback and suggestions.
****At the moment those lists are unique to KER and CEO.CA because that is the only place the exist online.
*****If you can ‘t see the value to someone having gone around and sorted the list down to a manageable size, and found a ton of companies that you’ve never even heard of, then there is no help for you, and those lists were not intended for you.
Some investors ONLY look at the balance sheet and technical charts to evaluate a company, but they often MISS a dramatic move that came as a result of fundamental driver like a drilling discovery or new partnership, that can only be found by pouring over press releases. This is particularly true with smaller JR companies with low liquidity, and only sporadic trading (making TA less effective).
Just a few thoughts on how to use lists and tips on DD.
Hopefully that will help clear up some of these concepts for you.
Cheers!
Oh and one last thing….
I never claimed to have done DD on all stocks. I am aware of 0 people on planet Earth that have done so, so I guess I don’t understand your question.
Go back up and read the value of targeted lists and how to filter things down through DD to your shopping list, and then to utilize technical analysis for entry and exit points.
Hope that helps clear up your confusion.
Thanks!
Maybe you missed this.
B – If you are talking to me, I saw it up above and left you this comment:
“That was a good post that did provide some value – Thanks.”
I fail to see how this has anything to do with sorting down the stocks into manageable lists using specific targeted criteria, but it was an interesting read focused on different jurisdictions.
Thanks again.
Like a collector, the worst thing to happen is the collection gets completed.
The list (available to anyone) that I posted should keep you going for years.
There are actually a few with #s in the 1000s of gpt silver and 100s gpt gold listed, in different duristrictions. Zinc too if your interested.
They havnt been mentioned on this site as far as I know.
The fun is finding them.
Thanks B. Wouldn’t it have been better to sort the lists though?
Put all the silver miners together. Put all the Gold producers together, separate from the development stage companies, separate from the prospect generators, separate from the exploration drill plays. Make sense?
If there are zinc companies that weren’t on the Zinc list from this weekend’s show why didn’t you just post the few under that list that were missing?
Posting an out-sized jumbled mess with biotech, financial, water, and all the other stuff all mixed together takes up far more time, but I guess I’ll poke through it and look for a few more gems in the rough.
Thanks
show us how its done.
Maybe just explain mesothermal and epithermal, there are many here that dont even know to consider either or why.
so much actually you havnt begun to cover.
start at any point,
I’ve covered plenty up above and down below and all the way back to my first posts on KER. I get into basic geology at times with a fault they are exploring, or if it is a VMS deposit, or if they are going to mine the Oxide resource at surface and then dip into the Sulphide zone etc…. (just did this week on Exeter and over the weekend with Orezone if you were paying attention). Just recently I highlighted why the copper interecpts Nicola mining hit were significant, or the Silver intercepts that Silver Bear, Alexco, and Brixton have drilled recently and why they were so impressive.
The thing is B – most people here are not geologists (including me), but I know enough to identify a good, bad, or average deposit.
I have already addressed how I do due diligence to you up above your list madness, and discussed how much research is done on the custom lists I post here. If you can’t read the responses back, then that is on you.
In addition, I did quick pass on about dozen companies I’m watching on the weekend show and why. Even up above it did a micro-mention to Matthew of about a dozen companies and did a quick one-liner about WHY I liked each one.
Have you ever offered anything of value on the miners you hold other than to say Mickey told you to get them?
Nope, I mentioned awhile back about 1/2 cent shares and no one was interested, so I informed no one about any about to jump, they were undoubtedly looking at lists.
Times changed, when gold was tanking I provided dividend payers, “time to wait” awhile back “time to b in cash”
you just dont notice, your focused on lists
Mathew did get the bump up in gold tho.
hmmmmmm so did I, ………..so?
How the heck did I do that without lists and TA I wonder?
Same way anyone else did that was watching I would imagine.
DD will teach far more than you may realise.
Ive told people before, Ive told people now, thats enough.
Lets go back to lists.
Nevermind B. I am sorry I even tried to have a conversation to help you out.
When they do get discovered, I will be able to say “I posted those guys months ago” lol
How about you just post the ones that were not already on the targeted subsector lists under those posts on the weekend shows.
It’s simple – “Hey I found these 3 Zinc companies that I didn’t see on that list” or “here are some primary Silver companies that weren’t on that list….”
Then we can all happy add them to those lists and tip our hats to you for pointing them out.
I typically go under the list and highlight the ones that I think are the pick of the litter, and will at least post a press release, corporate presentation, or my own reasoning on why I feel they may outperform. That is taking it one step further, but it takes time and work.
I’ll tell you who should get more credit on here and that is Skeeta.
He has posted several dozen suggestions to the different sectors or sub-sectors discussed on here, and he does it under the other lists, so that all readers can easily add them to the mix. I am always appreciative of Skeeta’s efforts to review what is there, and add to them. That’s collaboration, and it is far more efficient.
Before you sing the praises of Ron Netolizky, you better look at what he did with Golden Band Resources. I would call it a joke but I am out so much money on that one, I want to cry.
Yes, I’ve heard the horror stories from FranSix about Golden Brand, and I’m glad I skipped that.
Ron Netolizky was inducted into the Canadian Mining Hall of fame in 2015 so he must have done something right. I didn’t sing any praise that got him inducted there, but he is the head of Skeena Resources – which was one of the 3 companies covered by Rick today so it seemed relevant to highlight him – one of the criteria is looking at the management of a company isn’t it?
I don’t own any Skeena, but I do indirectly through Eros Resources posted up above.
His awards were for his discoveries and were given in the early 90s. He was then inducted in the Mining Hall of Fame in 2015. He may be a good or even great geologist but after my experience with Golden Band I have to say that I think he is terrible at running a company. Have a look at Masuparia. That is another one of his babies. How has it done? Golden Band was a good illustration of how there can be gold in the ground yet everybody ends up being losers.
Fair enough. Once bitten twice shy. I’ve never heard of Masuparia, but understand the reluctance to back a jockey that fell off his horse a few times. It is possible that his skills at running a company are not up to par with his geology skills.
We’ve all seen that before when Geologists understand rocks, but not engineering or how to raise money in the capital markets.
Cheers!
Paul W – You may want to check with FranSix or Markedtofuture about Golden Brand, as I believe something is brewing with them coming out of credit protection soon, and there were questions about some of the financial gymnastics being done.
They may have a tip on how to recoup those losses, but it got a bit over my head when I tried to dig into the disclosures.
These endless lists of companies and cut an pastes are getting just ridiculous. This is far too much clutter and just turns me off from reading anything. Why don’t you guys just start your own blog or take it elsewhere?
You can talk to B about his posting rampage today.
Any lists I’ve posted are targeted to a specific sub-sector, or to a certain search criteria.
It seems B’s intent was to purposely disrupt the blog, and I agree I see minimal value in his posts as well.
Paul – I believe that the purpose behind B’s post was to disrupt the blog enough with such an onslaught of mashed up lists, that it would illicit a response like yours.
He has been vocally against any lists and for a while and was just throwing a tantrum, to get people to rally against any lists being posted (which would be a shame).
Read between the lines a bit on his behavior today is all I can say…..
Agreed, Excelsior,i asked b why he visits KER, he said that he´s only here for the entertainment.
Like you said,he just want to disrupt the blog.
On September 21, 2016 at 4:02 pm,
b says:
entertainment.
On September 21, 2016 at 4:04 pm,
b says:
Im a gambler, i used to play alot of cards.
Now, the only game in town is holdem, might as well play bingo as far as Im concerned, so, I roll the dice on the market.
Just entertainment.
It is ironic that his actions today are so far from entertaining then… no?
He’s been bashing (and completely missing the point of small lists of 12-20 companies) that get posted on here for years. I fail to see how the mess he just posted is congruent with his past criticism, so it’s pretty clear it was just a stunt designed at disrupting the blog….and it bit obnoxious.
As B likes to say – “to itch their own”
really?
you no longer need lists shad, all the miners have been posted, move on to explaining what you look for and why.
You clearly missed the point again B. Targeted lists with certain criteria have value:
1) A SECTOR like Oil, Uranium or Zinc miners – Again, I challenge you to find lists that were as complete or thorough these, or Lithium or Silver that have been posted here. No, many of the companies were not widely known or followed, and each time people thanked me for finding ones they were unaware of. Each time people also actually contributed by suggesting stocks that were not on those lists (I know that idea may be foreign to you, but it is called collaboration. You should try it sometime).
2) SUB-SECTORS – There is no other website that I’ve found that breaks down ALL of the Major Gold (more than 1,000,00 ounces), Mid-tiers Gold producers (100,000- 1,000,000 ounces),and in particular, Small Producers (less than 100,000 ounces per year). Some sites have a nice list, but they leave many of the small producers, and even Mid-tier producers off. In addition, they usually sort my market cap, not ounces, so again, those lists don’t exist anywhere I’ve looked. Your welcome.
Then there are the lists that were posted this weekend. They were updates to the Development Stage – Advanced deposits, Prospect Generators, and Exploration companies. I guarantee you there are many names that have never been uttered on the KER before, as one quick search will prove. So give me a break that you already knew all of those.
*** So let’s stop right here. Did it ever occur to your brilliant mind, that I had to go through each of their websites first to confirm that they were a primary Gold producer, or in development, or a prospect generator, or an Explorer before I compiled them? Hmmmmm?
Did it ever occur to you that for me know if they were producing more or less than 100,000 ounces a year that I had to go pull up their reports, presentations and press releases to double check, which is a form of due diligence? Hmmmmm?
Did it occur to you that when dealing with the polymetallic miners it gets hard to categorize them but if I have them in Silver or Zinc as significant, that I’ve already analyzed their assets, drill results, recoveries, projects in development, or existing mines? Hmmmmm?
See B – If you actually had a clue, you’d realize how much research and time and analysis has already been done to get things whittled down to these sub-sectors.
The fact that you just see a list of companies, instead of all the time and energy behind it is where the problem lays. I can’t help you show some appreciation, but I won’t accept your comparison of what you did today, and what I’ve posted on the KER. My intent was always to help, and not to annoy. Can you say the same?
Moving on…
3) Precious Metals ETF or FUND HOLDINGS / WEIGHTINGS – These lists are helpful because you see what top analysts that manage these ETFs or Funds, think are the cream of the crop. It is also important to compare change in weighting over time, and this is why I’ve always included the weighting (rank) of each individual stock that composes the ETF or Fund.
4) COMPARATIVE LISTS / RANKING OF PEERS – This can be done for an important day (like the ones I posted above from yesterday that were top movers after the Fed babble). This can give you an indication of which companies investors are ready to jump into with the right conditions, but may not reflect the longer term trend.
Then there are 3 month, 6 month, 1 year, 5 year, or Year-To-Date Rankings of miners. That is always revealing because it sets the standard measure as TIME and PERFORMANCE on a percentage basis – which is the essence of investing anyway.
*** Once again B, If you can’t see the value in those sorted, ranked, comparative lists in comparison to the trash you posted, then there is no help for you, and you’re missing the inherent value to them.
As for what I look for why, I am surprised you would even raise that concern with me.
Quite frequently I’ll post under the lists a number of companies I like best out of the litter, but always enjoy others writing back about the ones they like better. For example, I put up a ton of content on Uranium miners last month, and many other posters weighed in with their picks. It was fun and you should try it sometime – you may actually make some money investing in the ideas shared.
The point is in general, I’ll post several reasons that I believe a certain company is at least interesting for investors to review.
1) I’ll post their recent press releases (where I often leave my personal remarks up above)
2) I’ll post their Corporate Presentations (where I often direct anyone interested to specific pages and mention why I’m directing them to those pages) – I like this because going through a powerpoint usually has the financials, the share structure, the projects, the management team, the drill results, the production results, their other secondary projects, and key stakeholders. That is a big part of the picture right there, and I’ve almost always reviewed it in full before posting it. (sometimes a little quick so I miss things like anyone, but we all make mistakes).
3) I’ll usually give my 2 cents or thoughts that I see to be catalysts based on their MAPS and proximity to other miners, or Directors involved, or key stakeholders, or other important distinguishing assets, technology, infrastructure, or perks that people may want to make note of.
* Normally there are many other poster chiming in and doing the same. That’s what makes us all money B, and I find that to be quite on topic, and quite entertaining.
Unlike your posts about how bad the USA is, or slavery, the benefits you see in Socialism, or your skewed economic theories, the information some of us discuss is about mining companies. Shocking – I know….
The kind of information described above is data that other investors can use to start their own due diligence process and decide if they agree, disagree, or are neutral on. Most of them also say thank you for the info shared, so they must see some value to it that escapes you.
Whats ur point pete?
I missed it.
Ex got a clue, list after list is not really that entertaining is it?
but lets make more lists.
No, please spare us your version of lists B. If you can’t learn for the remarks above about the value of targeted lists, then scroll on by them, but what you did today was of minimal help to anyone.
nobody can compare to you shad.
I understand you have “groupies” but I find your lists to have minimal value too.
I understand some people find value, thats people that havnt enuff no how to find their own info.
Copy paste is great too tho, as youve mentioned today.
Thing is, both require minimal knowledge.
I remind people, everyone is a genius in a bull market,
Seems “groupies” forget that.
Mat called a bump up in gold, good for Mat.
Thats not the only home run hit around here, but “groupies” forget.
Sry to any Shad show fans, but do urselves a favour and learn DD from Mr Fulp.
After you do, you may not be so impressed with lists tho.
I don’t give a crap about groupies. My intent is to help share ideas with other investors, and my payoff is when they share good ideas back. This clearly is a new concept to you, and if you think all I do is cut and paste then you missed it, as most of the lists I post are custom, and not found anywhere but the KER and CEO.CA.
Let’s try this again……see if you can actually try reading this before you make more silly comments:
_________________________________________________________________________
According to Mr Google, in total there are supposedly 1,561 stocks on the TSX and 2,424 on the TSXV. There are over 3000 on the Nasdaq and over 2800 on the NYSE. Why don’t you just list them all? That way you can say you told us about them here first.
same as above:
You can talk to B about his posting rampage today.
Any lists I’ve posted are targeted to a filtered sub-sector, or to a certain search criteria to highlight a group for a specific reason.
My goal is always to help investors find companies that are off the beaten trail and that may represent unrealized opportunity, not to be first.
It seems B’s intent today was to purposely disrupt the blog, and I agree I see minimal value in these insane lists from him today as well.
I believe that the purpose behind B’s post was to disrupt the blog enough with such an onslaught of mashed up lists, that it would illicit a response like yours.
He has been vocally against any lists and for a while and was just throwing a tantrum, to get people to rally against any lists being posted (which would be a shame).
Read between the lines a bit on his behavior today is all I can say…..
Re. b. the bird made him do it.
maybe it was bird withdrawal ? Or maybe it was just a tantrum? We man never know.
My hunch since he kept naming me directly in his posts, is that he was making a stink about lists, and taking it to the absurd level so people would rally against lists.
Fail. 🙂
of course Paul, as long as people appreciate lists I can do that.
lets have more lists.
People following your lists Shad are not people that think for themselves, unless they are just passing time.
As I said long ago now, if people want to learn and understand why Due Diligence they need to go see Mickey Fulp and dont get it from pretenders.
You can get an excellent explanation about aquireing mining info and the challenges from Bob M.
Both are better sources of info that will be found here.
Anyone impressed with list after list is easily impressed, and they need to learn DD if they intend to invest on their own in mining shares.
You crack me up B – but I’m not going to spend any more time on this because you clearly haven’t read the responses I took the time to share with you. I didn’t have to respond at all, but even though you I find your approach of insulting the people on this blog unhelpful, and calling them groupies or unable to think for themselves quite laughable coming from you, I’m still trying to help you B.
Again, if you can’t understand the 4 different categories of lists I outlined above (twice for you), or how much research went into them, or how they are a benefit to investors, then maybe they are just too advanced for your mind.
As for Mickey Fulp – I’ve mentioned to each time you have used this same response all year year long that stocks we discussed on here blew away the results of Mickey’s sponsors, and he caters to companies that pay him (and purposely ignores companies that have snubbed him) so I take all his recommendations with a grain of salt.
Mickey and Brent Cook called Silver mining investors “wingnuts” and had a good chuckle about it on their “At the Bar” video from PDAC. Even then the Silver wingnuts on here had gains of 300-500% crushing the gains of his sponsors, so advising investors just to blindly accept Mickey’s picks shows little thought, is not as rewarding as many of the contributors on here, and if anything doesn’t that make you the groupie?
I dont generally read ur posts shad, too long.
but I happen to see u say u posted some that did better than some fulp sponsers. lol
Duh.
U even talk about mickeys picks. lol
You didnt read my posts either it seems.
He doesn’t have exclusive rights to pick them. Several of the Uranium companies he finally decided to cover, I had been posting about their progress, press releases, updates on their quarterly finances, and discussing the strategy of their acquisitions long before he got on the train. So they were never Mickey’s picks to me.
Again I like him but maybe it is you that should read more carefully:
“he caters to companies that pay him (and purposely ignores companies that have snubbed him) so I take all his recommendations with a grain of salt.”
“Even then (by PDAC) the Silver wingnuts on here had gains of 300-500% crushing the gains of his sponsors, so advising investors just to blindly accept Mickey’s picks shows little thought, is not as rewarding as many of the contributors on here, and if anything doesn’t that make you the groupie?”
Those list were overkill Bumblebee,..give Owl and Cory a break.
+1000
I find b’s list totally useless, as most of his comments, just ignore & keep up the good work excelsior. glad to see matthew hasn’t left us!!!! thx for your efforts, DW
Thank DW. Agreed on both accounts.
If people went back and looked at the weekend show now, the drama was removed by Cory, and the remaining 400+ posts are cram-packed with investing ideas. Despite the drama, it really was one of the best weekend shows for content on the miners in quite some time.
As a refresher – we had one the most compelling Zinc threads on record, with dozens of suggestions, tons of video corporate presentations from Beaver creek, a number of mining stocks were individually reviewed by different contributors with the benefits/risks, there were dozens of editorials and interviews posted from various publications and experts, there was a small Uranium news thread, and a whole thread on Prospect Generator companies.
That was more information on the Weekend show than we normally get in several days weekday threads combined. If people missed those, then there is no harm in going back and revisiting the weekend show, as it took a lot of effort from everyone to post all that content, and I seriously doubt most digested all of it.
On Monday in the Exeter Resources editorial, I included about 30 post from various companies that were packed with many many investing ideas and thoughts. Again, I seriously doubt everyone has digested all that content either.
My reason for participating has always been to share good investing ideas.
Cheers!
