Welcome!

Is the market pricing in rate hikes past December already?

Cory
November 16, 2016

Today with Chris Temple we discuss the all but certain December rate hike and look to what rate raises may come in 2017. We all saw what happened just under a year ago when the Fed raised rates 0.25% and presented the world with the idea there would be 4 more in 2016. The Fed quickly backtracked in early 2016 and markets were caught off guard. Are we heading down that road again?

      Nov 16, 2016 16:28 AM

Absolutely Ryan. We are getting close to the official production announcment….

      Mexus Gold US (MXSG)

      $0.105 up + $0.02 (23.53% gain)

I did post the interview on the KER market wrap yesterday on Uptick Network. That interview is also posted on their site, and I’m sure that is bringing awareness to this project to the larger investing community

Mexus also posted some new photos of the leaching pad progress on their website, so it is encouraging to see real work being done, unlike many companies that are merely in a holding pattern.

Here’s a comparative chart of (MXSG) versus (GDX) and (GDXJ) over the last 200 days for a graphic of how well it has performed in 2016. Up over 4000% !!!!

Anyway, that went up huge, I mentioned it here, I said then, the one people will buy will be phot (pot)

I dont follow American markets but Clive Maud has a subscription service.

He was mentioning potshares being a bubble, maybe so, I had 4 trading halts today, they tanked and went up up up after they hit support.

I have no idea of the american markets.

Chris I agree, whats going on is nuts.
Next time somebody I vote for doesnt get elected Im making a sign saying its time for a revolution.

Bob Ms recommendation of “Memoirs of Extraordinary Popular Delusions and The Madness of Crowds” really is a fitting read for whats happening right now.

Actually, B, writing Nobody Knows Anything in March looks like rocket science now after Brexit. I didn’t hope Trump would win or want Clinton to lose but I would have been betting 10-1 on her stealing the election.

But Nobody Knows Anything and the MSM is made up of fools

It is what you don’t know wherein the danger lies.

Something is happening behind the scenes in metals. There are too many miscellaneous little bits of information that don’t quite fit. Take for instance GLD:
There was of a withdrawal of 5.63 TONNES of gold early on the morning of 11/15, and then there was another withdrawal of 1.48 TONNES in the afternoon. I cannot remember that happening before. (Was it a paperwork snafu?)
The reported timing of the withdrawals did not correlate with price changes.
I guess they don’t have too.

open interest changes do not seem to correlate with prices like they used to.

Wesdome has really turned their ship around in the last year. I’ve been following their news flow and it is very impressive, and they’ve started getting re-rated because of it.

Wishing now that I had dove in towards the beginning of the year, but I was really only looking at their production story at that time, and it was before some of their more recent exploration successes. Good stuff!

Bob Dylan Will Not Attend Nobel Prize Ceremony
Pitchfork 1 hour 32 minutes ago

Bob Dylan will not attend the Nobel Prize Ceremony in Stockholm on December 10 to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature, the Associated Press reports. According to the AP, the Swedish Academy said that “he wishes he could receive the prize personally, but other commitments make it unfortunately impossible.” Dylan broke the news to the Academy in a personal letter, according to a press release.

In the press release, the Academy wrote, “We look forward to Bob Dylan’s Nobel Lecture, which he must give – it is the only requirement – within six months counting from December 10, 2016.”

They added, “That laureates decide not to come is unusual, to be sure, but not exceptional. In the recent past, several laureates have, for various reasons, been unable to come to Stockholm to receive the prize, among them Doris Lessing, Harold Pinter, and Elfriede Jelinek. The prize still belongs to them, just as it belongs to Bob Dylan.”

    NEWS & ANALYSIS
    India Bans Cash, Now Gold?
By Daily Bell Staff – November 16, 2016

India gold import ban rumored … The Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association has warned members of a potential gold import ban … The association told Indian media the move could come by March 31 as part of the government’s ‘black money’ crackdown. –Mining Journal
Prime minister Narendra Modi recently decided to confiscate the cash of hundreds of millions of Indians, and now he may forbid Indians from importing gold.

This would have an immediate effect on gold supplies as India, despite the affinity of citizens for gold and silver, has very little in the way of domestic mining.

I’ve been parked in Mexus Gold for a while. Anybody have an idea on how much upside is left?

      Nov 16, 2016 16:48 AM

I’m guessing in the short term, that Mexus on the production news may still have another 10-20%, then it may cool off for a little while. However, it has held up great during a downward slide in most miners of 20-50%. If the production news syncs up with a turn to the upside in the miners then it may stretch a bit further.

Longer term I still see it over $1-$2 once their production is moving along full steam ahead, and MarMar works with them to advance some of their other projects in the pipeline that look even more interesting.

        Nov 16, 2016 16:51 AM

MXSG has been off of most investors radar, so moving from development to production may assist with more volume and liquidity for 2017 and beyond. I really like their progress, but will likely lighten up once the production announcement has run its course.

Then, when investors forget about it again, I’ll add back to that position and wait for the next milestone. Rinse and repeat….

          Mexus Gold US (MXSG)

          $0.12 up +$0.035 (+41.18% gain)

What is interesting is that Rick Ackerman covered Mexus back when it was at $06-$.07 and said he definitely saw it going higher and over $.09, but supposed investors on here bleated about hearing more about Gold. Gold has trended sideways to down, and now Mexus is at $.12 and they could have doubled their money. Oh well….

            Nov 16, 2016 16:16 PM

For that matter we were talking about Mexus back in mid February when trading in and out of it during the $.0035-$.0070 range to start building the position. A move from 1/3 of a penny to 12 pennies is pretty nice.

It was more speculative then, but there was plenty of of positive news flow to forecast higher prices. Some see all news reports as meaningless, but for me digging through them has provided some nice opportunities in companies that don’t get as much fanfare.

      Nov 16, 2016 16:25 PM

Expect then to hit a 100 million market cap soon, Karl. I would just hold this one long term. I agree with Excelsior that it has a potential to be a 10-20 bagger from here.

    Nov 16, 2016 16:09 PM

Thanks, sounds like a future to me.

      Nov 16, 2016 16:51 PM

It will be in fits and starts, and normally after a big run up (likely peaking with the production news) then it would be expected to have a protraction and selloff, then the selloff gets exhausted and consolidates, then it starts the next leg up.

2017-2020 are projected by most pundits to be excellent for the Precious metals, and so they are timing out going into production at a good time in the metals cycle. Also they have other projects lined up in their pipeline that will give them a good growth profile. It should be an exciting development and production story to follow. There are dozens of development stage companies getting ready for production in the next 1-2 years that also look very intriguing. Fun times! (but maybe a bit more pain before the fun continues).

        Nov 17, 2016 17:08 AM

Based on the interview with CEO Paul Thompson MSXG should be going into production by mid December.

Mexus has increased the size of their leach pad in a major way based on the input from MarMar, (which will be a huge value creation asset when they want to up their production volume down the road). This expansion took them a little longer to get everything set up, and then there were a few weather issues in Sept/Oct but they are loading the leach pad now and should be in production before Christmas.

Yeh i believe markets are pricing in rate rises for next year. The use of jargon in moving markets towards their desired direction is an effective and powerful tool. I suppose the old adage “all talk and no action” doesnt apply in this situation. No action required when talk is wooing the masses.

Great Copper discussion from Thom on both Ivanhoe Mines and Eurasian Minerals participation in the Russian jurisdiction. I’m biased and have sold in and out of both companies throughout the year, but there is little doubt among geologist that both companies mineral deposits are world class. Of course, but there is the jurisdiction risk to contend with, and some prefer to stick with assets found only N. America.

Good stuff and thanks for your posts wolfster.
