I brought Sam McElroy, Co-Founder of @Financial and @financial Investments, back on the show today to get his updated thoughts on the markets. He points out that the fundamental backdrop has not changed. The strategy of buy low and sell high should make investors realize that this is the time to lighten up on stocks rather than chase them higher.

Sam sounds like a relatively honest person. He doesn’t have all the answers but is obviously a knowledgeable student of markets. I’d bet most of his clients are pretty happy with what he provides them. JMO

Good advice. There is no panacea for the perfect portfolio, but the link below offers useful historical performance of stocks, bonds, commodities, gold, and even housing.

      Two-edged sword they are.

I thought that some good points were made in this editorial about remembering to take some partial profits from time to time (or you haven’t made any and will just ride the rollercoaster up and down). Good thoughts.
