Welcome!

The moves in gold, silver and the USD this month

Cory
January 31, 2017

Here is my general recap of the moves in precious metals and the USD so far this week and for January. Gold actually preformed slightly better this January than a month ago on high volume on the spot market. As for silver we are setting up to have 6 up weeks in a row. While the tehcnicals look strong we should expect a small pull back shortly. Finally the USD was hit hard today on comments made by Peter Navarro and now we all wait to see what the Fed has to say in their statement tomorrow.

I keep thinking that the White House talked down the USD today because they know that the Fed is going to be hawkish tomorrow.

My Intel position got hit much harder than the market. Went from a nice gain holding 2 days to a loss. AT&T and Coca Cola held up my account today after the nasty drop yesterday.

And the US has been such a wonderful neighbor to them, and to all our Latino brothers. /sarc/

U.S. might get some of its own treatment.
Fair when we do it to others.
only horrible people do it to us.

In 1890, US troops attacked an innocent Lakota camp. Most of the people were unarmed, but the troops ran as many down as possible, slaughtering approximately 200 innocent men, women, and children. It was an outrage, and the men who did it were murderers. And for doing it, 20 of them were given Medals of Honor.More people were given awards for the Wounded Knee Massacre than for most real battles. The government actually wanted to give out 25, but a man named General Miles fought it, calling it “an insult to the memory of the dead.” Even with his protests, they still handed out 20.One man, Sergeant Toy, was cited “for bravery displayed while shooting hostile Indians.” In the full report, though, it was made clear that he shot Native Americans who were running away. Another man, Lieutenant Garlington, was awarded for blocking off the escape of fleeing victims. He forced them to hide a ravine, and Lieutenant Gresham was awarded for going into that ravine to kill the victims. At least one Medal of Honor recipient seems to have felt the guilt of what he did. Two years later, Sergeant Loyd killed himself just a few days before the anniversary of the massacre. For his part at Wounded Knee, he had been given the Medal of Honor for “bravery.”

Funny how often these things keep popping up.

Massacre of 1622 Jamestown……..320 Englishmen slaughtered by Indians. As settler arrive in American the action begins. This might have set the stage for continued conflict between both parties………just saying……..none are without blame.

        Feb 01, 2017 01:32 AM

A further look at the settlement of Jamestown shows that Christians were spreading the word among the Indians, which was found to be lucky at a latter time, for there was a little Indian boy , who saved the entire community from slaughter, by warning the settlers that an attack was forth coming.
Seems the riff of the Indians, was that they were unwilling to intermingle and share there land anymore…..etc……..

There’s a slight asymmetry in that story Jerry, namely that one side was an invading party.

I will try to be more balanced in my writings in the future……… 🙂

That was about 100 years after europeans showed up.
            natives understood them by then.
natives did actually come close to driving europeans off the continent, but close only counts with nuclear bombs, hoarseshoes, shaving……….

thing is wounded knee was all innocents, people that were not fighting, notice how many medals? kinda like obama always at war and gets a peace prize. lol

            some things dont change.

Wounded Knee is just another example of america was never great….. ever.
Maybe a good idea….but never a great nation.

You would think more people would listen to Yoda “wars make not one great”.

b., I will agree with you……obama was a joke, and the metal was a joke….., but, we are aware….he was part of the IMC.,,puppet master at large.

Here’s a good Silver Chart showing the inverse H&S that Goldfinger posted earlier:

    _________________________________________________________________________

@Goldfinger – ” Lots of traders have pointed out this inverse head & shoulders pattern in $silver during the last 24 hours.”

“A few things stand out to me on this chart: 1. The ‘abrupt’ right shoulder of this pattern which indicates buyers were rather impatient in driving price above the neckline. 2. The volume-by-price air pocket between ~$17.75 and ~$18.70 adds weight to the measured move target ($18.75-$19.00) 3. A move back above the rising 200-day moving average ($17.92) could add fuel to the rally as trend followers jump aboard. 2 from #index, about 3 hours ago”

Silver has quite a spurt on today. Not getting involved until Yellen lets us in on her secret. In this crazy world anything is possible.
