Toyota’s new technology a blow for platinum, palladium price
World’s top carmaker says first vehicles using new catalyst technology that reduces PGM loads by 20% will leave assembly line later this year.
A new technology unveiled by Toyota on Wednesday is win for the Japanese company on both counts. Toyota announced the availability of a new, smaller catalyst that uses 20% less precious metal in approximately 20% less volume, while maintaining the same exhaust gas purification performance.

Mnuchin Says Goal Is To Pass Tax Reform By August

WASHINGTON (AP) — Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin says the administration is committed to getting major tax reform legislation through Congress by August. He also says President Donald Trump’s economic proposals will boost growth significantly to annual rates above 3 percent.
In an interview with CNBC, Mnuchin says that tax reform is the administration’s top economic priority. Its goal is to have a measure approved by the time Congress takes its August recess.
He says that growth in a range of 3 percent to 3.5 percent is “very achievable” with implementation of Trump’s economic program that includes tax cuts and rolling back burdensome regulations.
No spending cuts = no tax cuts or economic drag or both.

I can smell a big move for oil but it keep failing at $50. XOP has been negative and greatly under performing. I had to add more to average down. It is below $39 but should be around the 43 to 45 area at this oil price.
Maund is bearish, for what it’s worth. Bearish divergence between oil and oil stocks. Bearish COTS and hedger’s report.

I posted a Candleglance chart with 12 different Uranium stocks on it under your comments to BobUK that may paint the picture of where things are relative to the 200 day SMA. Getting close to being time to add to the Uranium stocks.

The dual announcements about replacing Obama care are very confusing. Trump says he will replace Obama care in March but he and speaker Ryan also hav esaid it may be Jan of 2018 ?? Some Repubs are now saying they may never replace Obama care or risk losing thier seats in congress. ?? Pray for sanity. S
Russell, they aren’t going to replace Obamacare entirely. They’ll keep certain aspects of it and then do modifications. I’m not worried in the least.
