Big changes in money flow

Cory
March 21, 2017

Today we are seeing money flow out of US equities and the dollar and into gold and treasuries. The VIX is also getting a buy as the sell off in equity markets builds. Doc and I discuss all the moves we are seeing today and the possibility that this continues.

Hello Doc. How far will the ura etf and uranium stocks pull back. I’m waiting to get back in. Also do you think ivanhoe will pull back along with the other miners. Sincerely. No clue, on what to do.

Poppie; here’s the technical issue with IVN——pricing is light years away from the 200 week SMA—that often is a huge warning flag. Today, I purchased and added to one of my positions in a uranium stock. I own 5 of the stocks and plan on adding to each based on their technical positioning. I’ll slowly add over the next few days.

    Good comments, Doc and Cory.
I think the top of TLT will be golds bottom later this summer. Interesting you point that out, Doc. And looking at G Sachs, M Stanly, Citi, JPM and junk bonds today… It looks like the dart found its way to the derivative bubble… Maybe the bottom of the stock exchange and top of TLT and then a blastoff of metals and the related stocks will signal a change of investor perseption from vapor paper to asset based? Interesting times, no doubt.

Still nothing like holding the actual metal in hand.

Thanks Chartster. One day it will come when we get another pull back and investors are forced into actual assets. It just might take some time. Most of the money in the markets is managed by people who depend on paper assets to be viewed as crucial to our economy and savings…

Marty does make a good point though. Holding actual metals is better than seeing a piece of paper or a number on a computer screen.

I think Doc’s got a good outlook ……..again. A bit off topic but John Mauldin’s piece today is excellent read and portends problems of a sociological nature, one that has few easy answers. I urge folks to read and learn something beyond stocks: http://news.goldseek.com/GoldSeek/1490105100.php
On the dollar, we’ll see it begin dipping in earnest when the Yen breaks 112 and beyond. Good conversation and show Cory. Thanks.

      Croy:
Appreciate your asking Doc. his definition of ‘long term’. You’re both on the same boat. Sometime we should discuss what type of world will we be living in when gold hits and surpasses it’s old highs………..

Excuse the double post and misspelling of your name, CORY. :)-

          Mar 21, 2017 21:49 PM

No worries SD. People have been spelling my name wrong for years, it doesn’t bother me in the slightest… Yours was a new one though 😉

I’ll keep your topic in mind for future recordings.

            I like that = Croy.

Doc, do you still think there will be a pull back of silver to the $16-16.50 level, given the increase of late, or have you adjusted your outlook for silver a bit higher?

UVXY has issued around 22 Million Shares.
The total of shares traded today. 60,628,484 (Heavy). up 7%
When 3X the total shares issued is traded in 1 day that says to me watch out, or get out.

Don’t Ignore Iran / Ditching the USD.

Very interesting comment evin. I had not looked at the volume in UVXY today. That’s massive volume!! Possibly a very good sign that the moves today are going to follow through.

For those who can view a 60 minute chart, PPP dropped precisely to Schiff fork support near the end of the session but closed well above it:
