With geopolitical news and job numbers surprising people the market impacts so far today have been muted. Gold is holding its gains but the US markets are climbing back to neutral. Chris Temple and I discuss this news but the main focus is on a number of technical levels that are key at the end of the week.

If I had only one pick I would go with Integra…..surprised pure gold isn’t on the list
I have Alexco, Hummingbird Resources, and Rye Patch on that list.
Bear Creek Mining, Falco, Orezone, Treasury Metals, Integra, and Sandspring are on my short list, but there are many other competing for position.
On last count I have 13 Silver stocks, and 25 Gold stocks, (not counting prospect generators) so I need to thin the herd a bit before dating any new pretty thangs….
I believe Don likes Pure Gold but it didn’t make his takeover list. I see it as more likely than Aurvista at this point because Aurvista is little earlier stage. Pure Gold is still one I’m very interested in, and have traded, but I sold out of it recently waiting for a better entry point.
Wow almost forgot about Auryn which I mentioned 2 months ago as a takeout in 12-18 months ….prospect generators are the bane of my existence.no idea how gzz can be trading where it is when its rzz holdings alone are worth in the .40’s….
Agreed on both points. Auryn will likely be a taken out in 12-18 months, and prospect generators can be a bit screwy. I’m still in Golden Valley, but agree that they still are not being valued anywhere near where they should (the sum of their assets, or in relation to Abitibit Royalties).

Updated list of companies with #Royalties and #Streaming arrangements, so here’s a list.
> First of all let me differentiate that a #Stream is when a company puts up money to another company to give them the right to make fixed ongoing payments for each ounce of a commodity purchased. (like buying Gold at $650 an ounce or buying Silver at $4 per ounce).
* There are only a handful of companies with actual streams in place, even though the term gets thrown around with Royalties quite often. $FNV Franco-Nevada, $RGLD Royal Gold, $SLW Silver Wheaton, and $SAND $SSL Sandstorm Gold are the 4 big Streaming companies, although all of them also hold a portfolio of Royalties as well.
There are only 3 other publicly traded companies that actually hold #streaming arrangements $OR Osisko Gold Royalties, $MLN $MLNGF Marlin Gold and $MMX $MACIF Maverix Metals. In addition, those companies also have #Royalties.
There is a private company #TripleFlag that has a stream, and David Morgan’s new company Lemuria Royalties that is trying to set up streams, but at this point they only have 1 #royalty.
There are other a few rogue streamers in other commodities (like $DMLP Dorchester for streaming Oil/Gas, or $INP for streaming Agricultural crops), but that’s the universe of streamers.

This list is made up of companies that already have producing royalties, developing royalties, or exploration royalties negotiated. It’s promising that to reduce their costs they did NOT highgrade their silver, but rather reduced their staff, changed mining methods, and increased the base metals output. The risk of Zinc/Lead prices coming down dramatically before the 3rd quarter, where San Rafael comes online is minimal.
Their share-price has not been moving much in either direction, but it seems relatively balanced on distribution/accumulation. However, now that they finally have their NYSE listing for $USAS , there should be increased interest and liquidity.
I fully expect by Americas Silver to be re-rated upwards by the end of the year for analysts that do their homework and compare their valuation on many metrics to their peers like Endeavour, Fortuna, Great Panther, Avino, etc…. Same thing for Alexco when they go into production later this year. Like you I’m watching for any significant pullbacks to add to positions before that happens.

Today’s candle in SLV might create just a *wee* bit of follow through next week. Should be fun.
Nothing serious has happened yet and I am glad that the miners and gold/silver ETFs have pretty much filled their gaps.

We have the CoTs stacked heavily against us, at least in silver. Generally, after a drop like today, we can expect a couple of months of hard selling. The crazy thing is, the drop into December didn’t even really reduce the CoT commercial shorts that significantly or at least not in proportion to the size of the drop in silver price.
The potential to paint a head and shoulders is still alive and well on the silver weekly chart. It’s head and shoulders all over the sector too. Just ugly stuff. We can’t just get large triangle consolidation, nope, we get head and shoulders all over the place.

I have absolutely zero faith this plays out given the size of today’s reversal and the CoT structure, but I thought I would throw it out.
Earlier in the year, a few of us posted some date on the ceo “Stock Picking Contest” and my buddy @Evenprime did an absolutely stellar job really collecting all the data, creating tables, creating analytics, and he just posted this nice 1st quarter report.
I highly encourage people to check out some of the embedded links on the 3 different contests as there are many savvy investors on that site that have really highlighted some great companies.

The KER will always be like family to me and is my favorite haunt….
However, ceo.ca is nice for drilling down into a commodity or a specific company. I toggle back and forth between both site throughout the day.
For example, here’s a room focused on Platinum: 🙂
If you scroll back up (and also click on “see older comments” at the top) you’ll see me occasionally shooting my mouth off. (lol)
… or here is an example of a room for a specific stock, where the conversation is focused on just one company. This is handy for doing research on one particular company.
I’ll highlight the Zinc Explorer (VTT) Vendetta Mining because you’ll see posts from {TheGalvanizer} who is one of the directors of the company. Very helpful to gleam that kind of wisdom from others.
Lastly in addition to the Topics or Sectors in the Red (#) or the companies in Blue ($) there are also Green (~) panels on a certain topic.
For example, I’m one of the moderators for a room on Royalty and Streaming companies, called ~royaltiesandstreams, and it allows anyone to view it but only specific investors to comment that feel that they can contribute to this topic:
