Big Al and the Doctor opine on Russia, Syria, China and North Korea

Big Al
April 12, 2017

The world is a very dangerous place today. So far Trump’s actions have resulted in a bit of a partership against North Korea between China and the U.S. Maybe the President’s policies will work out well for all.

The Syrian situation is soluble as long as the US stops insisting on regime change.

The US needs to get together with Russia to keep a tight rein on Assad.
Russia WILL agree to that in exchange for US dropping sanctions on Russia.
Russia also wants to eliminate ISIS, so let them do it…..help if necessary.

      better tell McCain…..

I suspect ISIS would be long gone if the US would have pulled out 100% when the Russians first went in.

        Apr 12, 2017 12:25 PM

        Pretty good possibility, GH

      Apr 12, 2017 12:24 PM

      Completely agree, CFS

I like this guy………thanks for the post

      Paul W:
Thanks for the post. I’m where the ambassador is. There are two very different stories out there. We need to know the truth. At this moment, it’s a 50-50 bet and I don’t care to buy something until the odds are much better. Sad, when we can’t buy the line that our Government gives us……..They have cried WOLF too many times in the past. Will we ever know?

        Apr 12, 2017 12:31 PM

It is a bitch when you can’t simply believe the statements by our government.

      Apr 12, 2017 12:30 PM

Paul W, (Is it Warren?) it is really amazing what is going on. Thank you for posting this as I don’t remember seeing it before!

        Apr 12, 2017 12:13 PM

Nope….I am an expat Canadian living in NZ who is trying to figure out the insanity of the world. The more I learn, the more confused and disillusioned I get. Who is Paul Warren?

Lets hope lots of people saw that and believe him.
It takes common sense to figure it out tho and most people simply believe as they are told to.
I doubt we will see many interviews like that in N America.

      Apr 12, 2017 12:44 PM

of course not…….the MSN is in the pocket of the deep state……

      Apr 12, 2017 12:32 PM

b, I personally feel very luck with communicating with the members of our forum. There are many differing opinions and each one make me stop and think.

Most Americans have become dumbed down to the point at which they don’t understand the implications of de-cashing the financial system. It’s like watching a barnyard full of chickens cheering at the appearance of Colonel Sanders.

    Thought this was funny.

      Apr 12, 2017 12:23 PM

      ditto……..it is funny…….

      Apr 12, 2017 12:33 PM

It is not funny it is hillarous and sad but true!

The Pilsberry Deuschbag over in Korea is gonna get a Tomahawk cap busted in his rear end. Forget your charts Doc. Time to play gold.

      Apr 12, 2017 12:34 PM

      Comletely agree Jason!

        Al:

Before you get carried away with mocking Fat Fido, he has the ability to turn Seoul into a sheet of glass in a good weekend of bombing. Wars are really easy to start and really hard to stop. We are going to regret Trump’s flip flop.

There are no surgical solutions to NK and fatso. Better figure out how to talk to him.

    As fas as Syria:
This whole sarin gas attack – tomahawk missile response can easily go the way of the Gulf of Tonkin. Assad had almost won the game and could of taken his chips off the table. What would make him go all in and do something so stupid. ISIS flipped the playing field. Trump needs to keep Syria form becoming another political vacuum welcoming radical Islam. We do not need another Iraq-esque, Egypt-esque, Libya-esque Muslim Brotherhood state. The Coptic Christians in Egypt are nostalgic for Hosni Mubarak. Assad may be vilified but he serves a purpose. Regime change is a dangerous thing and usually makes those seeking it commit overt evil acts.
    As far as North Korea:
This is a completely different story. There are simply too many wild cards in the deck to figure out the game. Unfortunately, whoever deals first will call the game.

    Apr 12, 2017 12:43 PM

I mustve missed something here in light of whats recently taken place. Correct me if im wrong but didnt Trump repeatedly state “America first” in his campaign??? Also wasnt he heard stating that Hillarys assertion of interfering with Syria was a big mistake???

That old saying “You know a politician is lying when their mouth moves” continues to ring true.

    Apr 12, 2017 12:38 PM

Of ourse you are correct, Ozibatia, I simply think this singular action was a statement of moral values.

Okay, a lot of you will think I am nuts. Just remember if some good comes out of this most will agree that it was worth it.

      Apr 12, 2017 12:37 PM

Ohh Al my observation wasnt intended as a slander towards your views at all. More a generalised thought. Whilst not necessarily agreeing with your views on this subject, I respect them nonetheless.

If nothing else, this just confirms that Trump carries the same characteristics to all of his predecessors – They say one thing and do another. The status quo remains im afraid!

        Apr 12, 2017 12:12 PM

Possible so far that could be the case Ozibatia.

Victor Davis Hanson has a good analysis of current geopolitical events.

“The most dangerous moments in foreign affairs often come after a major power seeks to reassert its lost deterrence.

The United States may be entering just such a perilous transitional period.

Rightly or wrongly, China, Iran, North Korea, Russia and Middle East-based terrorists concluded after 2009 that the U.S. saw itself in decline and preferred a recession from world affairs.

In that void, rival states were emboldened, assuming that America thought it could not — or should not — any longer exercise the sort of political and military leadership it had demonstrated in the past.”
