Targets for gold, silver, and the VIX
Kicking off today with Rick Ackerman’s technical outlook for gold, silver, and the VIX. Gold and silver came very close to an initial target yesterday and if they can break through on the next attempt could run much further. Rick shares some of the targets with our listeners that only his subscribers have heard.

Mexus producing gold at its Santa Elena mine
April 17, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Mexus Gold US (MXSG) confirmed that it is producing gold at its Santa Elena mine. The first part of the mining plan is now complete with Pad #1 actively leaching gold, new mineralized material being place on pad #2, and the Merrill Crowe gold recovery plant now operational. We will be smelting and selling dore in the near future and will release results when prudent. The plan going forward will be to increase production to 10,000 tons per day and build out the mine infrastructure as necessary with increased revenue funding each stage. Mexus’ goal is to reach maximum output by December 2017.”
“The work to bring the San Felix project into production has begun. Mexus’ first step is to restore the electrical system to the existing plant. 750kw and 600kw diesel generators have been purchased to manage the plant. Additional information will be released as milestones are reached. The plan is to have the San Felix project producing gold by January 2018.”

Gold Up $110, GDXJ Remains Flat – Get Ready For Gold Stock Rubber Band!
Palisade Research – April 17, 2017
http://palisade-research.com/gold-up-110-gdxj-remains-flat-get-ready-for-gold-stock-rubber-band/
Thanks. Another way to think about things…..
I’d prefer a Gold catapult over a rubber band, but a nice snap-back rally may be in order.
GH – That’s the spirit !!
I’m going to give one of those to folks in my community an ask them to catapult over all their unwanted Gold, Silver, and Platinum coins, bars, and jewelry over onto my property.
I’ll also pass out a helpful handout with the catapult where Warren Buffet calls Gold a “Barbarous Relic” and where one of the big banks called it a “Pet Rock”.
On yesterdays Doc editorial there were a number of articles posted around this GDXJ rebalancing into larger market cap stocks, the concentration size and liquidity issues with ETFs focused on Jrs, and a supporting reason for the weird action in GDXJ lately.
Yep, and you probably saw zerohedge today:

No I hadn’t so thanks for posting that. I only check zero hedge every once in a while.
Ex, do you have any opinion on Telson Resources:
http://www.b-tv.com/telson-resources-ceo-clip/
Yes, I like Telson for a Mexican Gold/Silver developer, and have had it on my short list. They have a PFS out and are entering the permitting/building phase, which can be a lull for some companies. I was considering grabbing some if they drifted down a bit more during the summer doldrums. The just aren’t as attractive to me as some of the names I’ve followed for a while that still deserve a re-rating by the marketplace.
At present I’m over-exposed to both Gold and Silver companies in my portfolio and want to cull the herd a bit…. but have dozens I’m closely watching and evaluating for the latter half of 2017.
The core positions I have in my Silver miners are solid, but there are some Gold companies I’d like to rotate out of if prices move up in the near future, to make room for opportunities I like better. For now I’m just watching Telson, along with a slew of other miners, but they’ve got a good story developing for sure.
Nice Tad. Perfect looking catapults for Gold Stocks. Let’s get these miners loaded up on those and spring them into action this week.
Silver Standard (SSRI) patting itself on the back for its JV WITH Golden Arrow @ Europeangoldforum.org @ the 11:21 mark in the presentation April 5
Nice. It should be — it’s the 7th largest undeveloped Silver mine on the planet, and it helps them get more mileage out of their Equipment and processing center in Argentina. They are still getting things started near the bottom of the commodities cycle, so longer term this should be a cash cow for Silver Standard and Golden Arrow.
Sheeple beware, Google AI to build machines that can think for themselves without humans.

GOLDEN VALLEY MINES AND NUNAVIK NICKEL MINES ANNOUNCE OPTION AGREEMENT
April 18, 2017 – Val-d’Or, Québec
“Golden Valley Mines Ltd. (GZZ) and Nunavik Nickel Mines Ltd. (KZZ) are pleased to announce that they have entered into a Mining Option Agreement made as of April 18, 2017, pursuant to which Golden Valley has granted to Nunavik Nickel an option to acquire a 100% interest in 61 of its grassroots properties.”
Let’s see if this subsidiary’s minority shareholders will approve the deal
Are there even many minority shareholders in Nunavit Nickel? It seemed like more of a shell to me, but I like that it is being filled with 61 properties. That is a huge portfolio to sort through, and I get the impression that Glen doesn’t have the bandwidth to parse them out individually to other companies out of GZZ. I still don’t think most investors realize just how many properties were under the Golden Valley Mines umbrella.
Rick: “Screwing the pooch!” Is that legal? He has some great journalistic skills does our Rick! I wonder if he ever used that one whilst working for the newspaper.
It is not legal and will stay that way with Gorsuch on the court. It would have been made legal if Hillary had picked the new justice instead of Donald.
I just sold 1/2 the CDE i bought in Feb and now I have cash to buy more KLDX, MUX, or USAS, Auryn, or nsrpf. I am watching and thinking…
