Interesting Trump tax announcements today, but I wonder if he is simply a modern-day Diocletian in the fall of Pax Americanus….

Thanks guys.
Question: Has anyone seen good analysis of the Sandstorm acquisition/ combination with Mariana?
I’m a long-time SAND holder and wondering what the right take is on this. Mariana seems to have great resources, but also some dicey jurisdictions.
Would appreciate others’ thoughts on this.

TD on $SSL $MARL merger.
“In our view, the transaction has really strong potential in the long-term; however, we believe the stock may react negatively in the near-term because the Hot Maden asset in Turkey is relatively unknown.”
Sandstorm is hosting a conference call TODAY April, 26 at 11:00 AM ET – Dial in: 1-888-390-0546.
Jay – I realize that call is already over but there may be a replay of it available on their website in the near future.
This was my initial take, though with little info. Perhaps SAND saw a way to pick up Mariana for a decent price due to concerns over instability in Turkey (and maybe seeing its other properties have a lot of potential)?
They are quality projects, and some market participants shy away from Turkey, as it is a tough jurisdiction, so maybe Sandstorm felt they were getting good value.
Overall it looks like a good transaction and win win for both parties, but I haven’t dug into the details.
Thanks! I’ll check these out.
Hey guys I will be chatting with Glen Parsons over at Mariana tomorrow. The interview will be featured on our weekend show. I will also chat some of the analysts I know and try to set someone up for next week that can comment.
If you have any questions for Glen please email me! Fleck[at]kereport.com

Bayhorse Silver – Ships Ore-Sorter Material to Steinert US – Prepares for Recommencement of Underground Operations at the Bayhorse Silver Mine, Oregon, USA
by @newsfile on April 24, 2017
“Bayhorse Silver Inc. (TSXV: BHS) has shipped approximately 3,000 kilos (6,600lb) of crushed mineralization to Steinert US to refine the Ore-Sorting equipment algorithm settings to ensure maximum separation of mineralized from non-mineralized material. By removing non-mineralized material from the process stream before final upgrading, substantial cost savings can be achieved in the crushing operations.”
“The Company is ready to recommence underground operations to extract up to 10,000 tons of mineralized material from the Bayhorse Silver Mine. A highly experienced mining team is currently preparing the mine site for this work. The Company is continuing crushing and upgrading operations.”

Slv to close down 9 days in a row???
I’ve been nibbling at Silver miners the last few days and will probably add a bit more into this weakness. I has been an ugly 2 weeks in the miners for sure.
I = It
PPP Primero has put me in the hurt locker….. ouch!
I bought some Silvercrest metals yesterday, I really like that company with everything going on, grades, management, nearterm bulkproduktion, maiden resources q2 2017 hopfully. I wonder why its not hot anymore? Of course its gone up strongly but it came down really nice last couple of days
Hey Blue – yes I really like the team and projects over at Silvercrest and was just reflecting on them recently (since they were the best performer in Silver stocks for 2016 and were a 13-14 bagger at one point from the lows to the highs).
I’m still kicking myself for selling out waaaay to early on Silvercrest and missing that run.
I have been adding to positions in few different Silver stocks like Alexco, Impact, Americas Silver, Excellon, Brixton, Avino, Bayhorse , Dolly Varden, Kootenay, and even got a starter position going with Bear Creek Mining (been waiting to get started with BCM for a long time…. and now seems like as good of a time as any).
I like every silver stock you mentioned I think they are very good performers from now and a couple of years further on. When silver hits 50 next time I hope im loaded with silverjuniors and not sold to early.
Dont forget Azs Arizona silver they could fire up big time in may
Yes, I’m watching Arizona Silver as there is a great deal of buzz around their drilling, and there are other explorers like Defiance Silver, Bitterroot, Southern Silver, Silver Bull, etc… that are interesting as well.
As it relates to Silver miners, I tend to hold more Developers and smaller Producers that will benefit economically over the next few years by rising silver prices, and still have nice exploration upside. I put more of a focus on exploration with Gold stocks, but still like a diversified portfolio of Producers, Developers, and Explorers.
All the best to you in your investing sir.
The conventional markets should rollover right here.

Priced in GDX, GDXJ has already taken out its December low and appears to be very close to a bottom if it hasn’t bottomed already. This is bullish for the sector.

Meanwhile Google gapped up yet again.
The loonie has partially filled a big gap from over a year ago and is oversold and at fork support:
