US Markets Ability to Treat Every Sell Off As a Buying Opportunity
It seems as though every time the market moves down investors very quickly buy it back up. This is the case again since the one day sell off last Wednesday. Now was are almost back to 2,400 on the S&P. Chris Temple joins me to discuss why this is consistently happening for US markets as well as the driving forces behind the move in crude back above $51/barrel.

Beautiful DC has other things on its mind if this turns out to be legit…
Seth Rich Plot Thickens: “DC Insider” Speaks Of “Complete Panic” At Highest Levels Of DNC
Last week, Fox News dropped a bombshell report officially confirming, via anonymous FBI sources, what many had suspected for quite some time, that murdered DNC staffer Seth Rich was the WikiLeaks source for leaks which proved that the DNC was intentionally undermining the campaign of Bernie Sanders.
In addition to exposing the corruption of the DNC, the leaks cost Debbie Wasserman Shcultz her job as Chairwoman.
Of course, if it’s true that WikiLeaks’ emails came from a DNC insider it would end the “Russian hacking” narrative that has been perpetuated by Democrats and the mainstream media for the past several months. Moreover, it would corroborate the one confirmation that Julian Assange has offered regarding his source, namely that it was “not a state actor.”
Meanwhile, the plot thickened a little more over the weekend when Kim Dotcom confirmed via Twitter that he was working with Seth Rich to get leaked emails to WikiLeaks.
Strategic Oil Reserve……….Trump wants to sell off a portion of reserves…..in budget …zh
must be part of the deal with Saudi……
Flammable Ice
The big story in Asia has been that China made a major breakthrough being able to extract gas from what people call “Flammable Ice” located under the South China Sea. This has been at the core of China’s insistence on controlling the area. This is an important future global energy supply and not merely a territorial power grab
https://www.armstrongeconomics.com/markets-by-sector/energy/flammable-ice/
USA…….has plenty of natural gas……….
The game continues…………
RT has been reporting “flammable ice” for awhile now.(week or so?)
Anyway, it sure looks interesting, could really take care of alot of energy requirements.
We have some tech coming that could change things, makes me wonder if I shouldnt be changing my investment focus to tech.
It does look interesting, and potent, because it is high in natural gas. However, it won’t be a carbon-free power source or meet the Paris accord energy guidelines of the future. Over time I believe the world will need to bring more natural gas plants into the overall energy mix.
?
Saudi wants to limit supply of oil to increase price.
(To maximize the value of Saudi Aramco…..sale pending)
How so? The Saudis need the oil price to stay up to sell a chunk of Aramco in an IPO. On the surface, Trump selling some of the SPR would serve to weaken the price.
short term thinking…….IF, oil should become scarce, through selling off the SPR….the Saudis can raise the price as they did in the 70’s……….
Saudi will have no problem selling stock in an IPO……central banks will buy all they have.
Saudis were buying gold…..all this time…….in exchange for oil……from 1970 to present.
The monthly chart for Hecla shows a giant symmetrical triangle beginning in 2000. If it breaks out of the top rail, which is currently around $7.00, it projects to about $20.
I’ll admit the monthly chart looks bullish, but there could be more up and down consolidation before HL breaks out. It could conceivably consolidate around the 20 month MA around $4.50 into late 2017 early 2018 before starting the next leg higher. Impossible to tell. I personally do not think there will be a sustained move up until July at the earliest. I think the monthly bollingers have to narrow in quite a bit before the next leg, which means more churn for months potentially.
But what will HL sell for when silver is 100 or 200/oz?
Much less than CDE. FWIW
I’d be thrilled to see Silver break up into the $22-$26 range. Most Silver companies would be on an absolute tear if that plays out over the next 12 months.
It will break $22…….and then get washed out…..jmo
until the CFTC is gone…….the game will continue……..just the way it is……jmo
Well, I’ll have to trim if the stocks lather up and get frothy on that that move up then, before the wash / rinse cycle.
Personally, I’m targeting the (Autumn of this year – 1st quarter of 2018) as the big leg up in the PMs and related stocks. If we get some high flying during that time frame, then I’ll ease off the throttle and take some chips off the table a few weeks before PDAC next year.
Nice thing about this market , it is so predicable……no guess work required…. 🙂
Well, I’ll still be watching the charts like a hawk, because seasonality is just a trend, but I’ll be prepared to zig or zag as needed 🙂
We will just start calling you……ZIGGY……….. 🙂
Did you mean CFTC or COMEX.
The CFTC is a bunch of idiots that do nothing……they could disappear off the face of the earth and nothing would change.
You might have answered your own question concerning the CFTC……which are responsible to bring action against the traders…….
You are going to the cesspool known as the District of Criminals? Try not to get any filth on yourself.
There is not enough money in the world to make me go there.
You should go at least one time, to see the cherry blossoms……
It is much too late for cherry blossoms this time.
Does not matter which year he would go , he needs to time it correctly in order to see the blooms……….you know that cfs, you are not the only one who travels…… 🙂
I’ve given up flying unless I absolutely have to. Between the TSA porno scanning and groping, not to mention that most airlines treat you like cattle, I’ve said to hell with it. And why is it that every year Americans’ assess keep getting bigger while the airline seats keep getting smaller?
Anyway, whenever possible I refuse to be treated like a criminal so for the most part I just don’t fly, certainly not for leisure. And I don’t have time for leisure travel, anyway. And with the technologies these days there is far less need to travel for business.
I have to agree with you on the TSA…..
Were do they get these morons at the TSA,,,, prison relief , work release programs.
In spite of being one of the focal points of evil in the known universe, it’s quite a pleasant city in many ways.
Washington DC is a very curious place, with stunning architecture, and the city and streets are laid out in geometrical formations that stir the consciousness.
The first time I went to DC was in the late 80’s, I was on a tourist bus and a parked car on the street next to us erupted into flames. The bus driver encouraged us to stay calm and stay away from the windows… and quickly refocused the tour on the interesting building further down the street and stepped on the gas 🙂 (people looked nervous initially, but then quickly shifted right back into tour mode. I was like…. $h*t, didn’t anyone care that a freaking car that was just lit on fire right on the side of the street??)
Later on that same trip when walking down a busy street, a homeless man asked me if I had a lighter, but I told him, “No, but have a book of matches from the hotel.” He proceeded to light a bundle of bottle rockets off from a curb and aimed them at a building across the street. I wasn’t expecting that….
The next time I went to DC was about a week after 9/11. 4 of us drove in (because the plane issue had everyone spooked) I remember driving by the damaged Pentagon right off the interstate, with the building work crews outside and it brought the whole scene from the TV news coverage to something outside our car window and in the minds eye. Very odd feeling.
Hilarious story, Ex. After grad school I moved from MD into DC, a fairly rough area–we were the first house of white guys on the block, after the pioneering white gay couple (typical DC story). Speaking of burning cars, one was burnt right down to the metal just a few doors down from us. I was amazed at how well a car burns!
For better and for worse, it’s ‘gentrified’ a lot since then. Sounds like it was even crazier for your earlier visits.
One can live and work in DC for years and barely interact with the political crowd (I was NGO, which is bad enough). I did once find myself at a party of World Wbankers, wondering ‘what am I doing here?’ But I can tell you–lots of hotties at the WB, LOL.
I was downtown on 911. Total gridlock. I thought, someday this city is going to be a very bad place to be, and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere inside the beltway when that day comes. I still occasionally try to get a friend who is still there to get out. Being from the Rockies, DC’s not my style anyway, beyond being a nice place to visit.
The cherry blossoms are nice, but the flowering trees of South America blow them away.

“False Flag”…….Manchester bombing story/terror attack is to draw attention away from SETH RICH story…….bix weir.
On utube, ….already taken down, ….there is a video showing a practice “run through”, prior to the bombing.
Looks like gold is about to start another rally.
Last time I was in Beautiful DC, the National Gallery of Art had chamber music concerts (free) every Tuesday afternoon.
Lots to see in DC though…..easy to spend weeks and not see everything.
Smithsonian, so many buildingss, etc.
Enjoy your time there.
