In a week that started off strong for the precious metals turned out to be the first down week for gold in over one month. Investors were closely watching Thursday when we heard and ECB statement (which was quite dovish), the Comey testimony (which said little), and the UK election (which Theresa May miscalculated). None of these events moved markets to any significance. Now we look ahead to next week and the Fed meeting. Will they cut rates, what will they say about a September rate cut, and what about the balance sheet?

Comey Proves He is Part of Gang of Four Against Trump
The most telling thing about Comey is he said he did not trust Trump and though he might need notes to protect himself and the FBI when speaking to him Yet, in the interview that was supposed to clear up Hillary Clinton’s involvement with countless scandals, including her private email server where Comey admitted she was careless with national security, according to James Comey, none of it was recorded. So why did Comey protect Hillary refusing to record anything she said thereby prevent any charges for lying to the FBI as they prosecuted Martha Stuart, and then he recorded conversations with Trump?
Comey was part of the Gang of Four. The degree of pomp and circumstance and him calling Trump a liar is rather astonishing when absolutely EVERY proffer session with the FBI is routinely recorded so they can bring charges against you if you lie. I am shocked at the level of dishonestly that Comey has displayed and of course mainstream media refuses to expose anything negative about Comey or the Democrats. This only further proves the conspiracy brewing. The Deep State is fighting back very hard.

I read an interesting article in the Seattle Times yesterday (Friday) about how different networks had completely different reporting conclusions about the Comey scenario. Funny, but I completely agree with that viewpoint and, quite frankly, it frightens me.
Big Al, the NYT, Washington Post and CNN supply most of the fake news with anonymous sources. Zero Hedge does a better job of vetting and most of the time supplies imbedded links in the articles.
In my opinion……..zerohedge…..has been spot on in many articles over the years. jmo

OWL…..I think many of us have been saying this over the last 11 yrs……The parts of the puzzle are coming together. Go back to 2006/07……bring up some of the old articles…Especially on the Sat. Reports, when you have had Walter Jones, Jeff D, Glen D and any other political person on. Many things on 9/11 have been reported over and over again. Obama has been reported on over and over again. Remember the Tea Party, IRS mess…I could go on and on……..

ALERT: Unknown Entity Deletes Portion Of Whistleblower Andrew Maguire’s KWN Audio Interview About A Major Event In 26 Days
King World News note: After the release of the audio interview with London whistleblower and metals trader Andrew Maguire, a KWN staff member noticed that something very strange had occurred.
A portion of the audio had been deleted (by some unknown entity) that discussed a major event that is going to take place in 26 days. Here is the question and answer that was deleted from the already released audio interview, but was transcribed by the KWN staff member who was able to retrieve it from an unaffected copy.
Eric King: “This summer surprise that you say is in front of us in the gold market, Andrew, I know you can’t say specifically what that is, but can you give a hint at what is in front of us that’s going to be the shocker in 26 days?”
Andrew Maguire: “What we are going to see is a massive amount (absolutely enormous tonnage) of physical gold buying coming in and it’s completely unexpected and unanticipated.” King World News note: Again, this portion of the tape was stripped out of Maguire’s KWN audio interview by some unknown entity. Who would want that question and this portion of the answer deleted and why? This is the first time anything like this has ever happened. As mentioned, a KWN staff member was able to transcribe this portion out of a retrieved copy they kept that was unaffected. What is interesting is that some entity did not want that portion of the audio interview to be heard by the KWN global audience, which includes key government officials from across the globe.
All we can say at this point is that this summer surprise is obviously very troubling to the Federal Reserve, Bank for International Settlements, and other Western central banks involved in the paper manipulation of the gold market because it comes at a time when the physical gold market is already extremely tight. It will be very interesting to see if this enormous tonnage of physical gold buying breaks the back of the manipulators and sends the price of gold soaring.
After the above deleted portion of tape, the KWN audio interview with Andrew Maguire continued. It left off with a comment and then a question about how the powers that be might handle this behind the scenes emergency:

Off message but worth a comment surely:
Following our General Election across the pond Britain’s Tory party has been hoist by its own petard big time. Although they still have a majority over their main rivals the Labour party, Prime Minister Theresa May is now lumbered with what’s known as a hung Parliament. This means that she has fewer Tory MPs than last time, and in order to get a majority in the House of Commons with which to pass legislation is having to do a deal with the DUP – Ulster’s old Democratic Party. Although this stands to work reasonably well it’s a real case of the tail wagging the dog, and very demeaning for Theresa personally. Or to change the metaphor the DUP has from out of obscurity become the cat with the cream, being able to insist on realising all sorts of perks for Northern Ireland otherwise out of reach.
Like everywhere else British politics are in upheaval. The Tories have won certain Labour seats that once were unassailable. Mansfield hitherto a working class and former mining stronghold has become Tory while Canterbury a former fortress of conservatism has gone to Labour!
Old Toryism largely made up the ageing middle classes is winning some disaffected Labourites (most of whom are also ardent Brexiteers), while Jeremy Corbyn has caught the attention of many younger voters. Those younger voters are disillusioned with having university debts (£9k p.a tuition fees for starters), along with underpaid jobs and no prospects whatsoever for buying houses of their own.
Of course the younger ‘millenials’ feel desperately cheated given that us pensioners have enjoyed a golden era of no fees whilst at university (indeed we were given grants), along with affordable housing and jobs/pensions for life.
But the joke is this, if one can call it a joke. Theresa May ran a shocking campaign presuming that Corbyn was an inept rival who would allow her to increase her Tory majority by upwards of a hundred seats. But Corbyn being a closet Maoist was making monetary promises like cancelling students’ debts while throwing billions into our Health service and education which would only bankrupt Britain from the bankruptcy we’re already in. The further joke is that Corbyn is a genuinely old school Marxist – the real reason that Tony Blair and ‘New Labour’ hate/d him so much, even as some Blairites are now belatedly doing him homage.
Were it not so sad it would be hilarious.
Furthermore, it is rumoured that the bureaucrats in Brussels will be laughing their heads off at the floundering of May’s ‘hard’ Brexit intentions. But not so fast over there Mr Junker and your cronies. Your own forthcoming mayhem may soon prove that Britain will have little bartering to do, given that the EU as we know it is about to collapse.

The DUP, whose 10 seats would allow the government to get measures through Parliament, is a socially conservative pro-British Protestant group that opposes abortion and same-sex marriage and includes both environmentalists and climate-change deniers among its senior ranks.
The DUP was founded in the 1970s by the late firebrand preacher Ian Paisley, and in the 1980s was a key player in the “Save Ulster from Sodomy” campaign, which unsuccessfully fought against the legalization of gay sex.
I believe Mr. Paisley has since gone to meet his maker, so perhaps the party is also more moderate.
It also helps that Sinn Fein M.P.s never take seats in Westminster.
CFS. What if Sinn Fein MPs are pressurised by their constituents to sit in Westminster? That would leave some kind of crisis in the UK, as yet unprecedented. They can erase the Conservative/DUP majority at any time. Since the ‘Tories’ are really the Conservative and Unionist Party and the DUP are the Democratic Unionist Party, they are polar opposite of Sinn Fain policies. Sinn Fein being Irish nationalists are opposed to Brexit in principle because it restores the North/South border as I see it – and for other reasons. I visited their website for the first time right now. It is a different site from what I expected. Sinn Fein will be very restrained if they stay away from Westminster in the event that May makes concessions to the DUP. She has no wiggle room at all. The UK government is going to be dependent on the self restraint of Sinn Fein. So, not only have the Tories hostaged the UK and Brexit somewhat to the Scottish nationalists recently but now they are hostage to the Irish question too. This as I see it is the greatest political mess in my lifetime, no contest. The media have not even mentioned this potential Sinn Fein influence, of course.
I wonder what Irish Tony thinks of the election results. His insights would be interesting.

I saw a Guardian reporter video on the election Wolverhampton North constituency. It was interesting and did mention the immigrant community quite a bit. On headline primetime TV, you will not see it though, but it is obvious o anyone who looks.
On the other hand I know immigrants in the UK who voted for Brexit and even campaigned for it! These were immigrants from outside of Europe of course, now British citizens who are squeezed by all the eastern European influx, as are the native British who are always forgotten. Instead, the leafy medicinal greens they’ve harvested are sitting on a shelf unsold because nearly a year after dispensaries were legally allowed to open, the state has not yet certified any labs to run required safety tests.
That means dispensaries such as Aloha Green on Oahu have no income despite payroll, rent and operations expenses that top $100,000 a month.
“For us it’s a little frustrating, having so many people on board, but it has to be done,” said James H.Q. Lee, CEO of Aloha Green. “I’m more concerned for the patients, because people have been calling: ‘We see it online, when are you going to open? We need our medical cannabis.'”
Hawaii was among the first states to legalize medical marijuana 17 years ago, but dispensaries were only legalized in 2015. The state’s 17,000 registered patients have been left to grow marijuana plants on their own or buy it on the black market.

Yes. I hadn’t spent any of it and didn’t bother to look at it and it was about triple since I had checked. But I never got into bitcoin in any significant way. Just got into this for the discount. I was able to get about %15 off Amazon’s already low prices. But like I said I didn’t get into it to any significant extent since I don’t buy a lot off Amazon.
So except for a relatively small amount, I’ve have missed the crypto mania.

The court ruled Monday that Santander Consumer USA does not fall under a federal law aimed at unscrupulous debt collectors. The company purchased defaulted car loans and sought to collect the money owed.
Gorsuch displayed his writing skills in an opinion that began with a lament about “disruptive dinnertime calls, downright deceit and more” that debt collectors sometimes employ.
