Welcome!

The President’s actions yesterday when talking over lunch with 15 GOP senators could be a prime example of “The Art of the Deal”

Is this a prime example of “The Art of the Deal”? We will know no later than November. You can read the article which appeared in today’s “Morning Jolt” by Jim Geraghty.

Trump is trying to change the way we view politics. The old days when you were a Republican or a Democrat are gone. He is trying to say “We have a new regime where not only the drinks are mixed, but the party as well. Although a lot of people have viewed these parties as a two headed snake they who think this way are in the minority, you must wake up the majority to have real change. Cooperation is the high mark of any administration. DT

      Mr. Tracy,

What do you think about my opinion?

        Jun 14, 2017 14:56 PM

Big Al, I want to say that the disillusionment which had defeated Hillary Clinton because of The Democrats using the Big Red Scare, has also furnished a culture in which the germs of a new freedom could grow and multiply. How does that fit into your model? DT

          Jun 14, 2017 14:16 PM

I truly hope that the ‘new freedom” actually is born.Too early to tell yet, but Big Al can hope.

        Jun 14, 2017 14:08 PM

Mr. Big Al Korelin, I know you didn’t ask for my opinion or your opinion and I know you’re a bigwig and I’m just a nobody so maybe I should just keep my mouth shut (or fingers off the keyboard), but I got to tell you I sure hope they don’t pass a version of that Rat Ryancare, which is Obammiecare 2.0 which is Romnycare 2.0, all of which is awful.

          Jun 14, 2017 14:17 PM

You are a bigwig Eddie. I can simply hope and pray for the best for North America.

        Jun 14, 2017 14:13 PM

Rand Paul thinks the Senate will pass something that won’t be good (but maybe not as bad as the House version but still be close to Rat Ryancare.)

You can see what he has to say in this interview (towards the end)

          Jun 14, 2017 14:22 PM

Mr. Big Al Korelin and all of you people, I highly recommend you listen to the above interview. Ron Paul interviews Rand Paul. It’s not that long but if you don’t have time make sure he see from 15:00 to the end.

          Jun 14, 2017 14:18 PM

Many thanks for the link, Bigwig Eddie.

Big Al, you give a lot of time to the New Republic article slant – it takes a little away from your important analysis. Trump is negotiating, he is always negotiating. He has been underestimated by both sides (obviously, he won against all odds,) but his opposition from inside and outside is getting more sophisticated. Even after today’s shooting, WAPO is reporting Mueller is investigating obstruction (yet another media perpetuated reason for “haters” to shoot) – I believe its an attempt to bait him into firing Mueller. We will see how smart the President is with Mueller and the Health Care bill in the next two weeks. If he gets a compromise, and Mueller stays on, the splintering Dems and never-Trumpers will be in trouble. If he fails on both, America is in for an awful summer. This will play out soon – and validate your analysis, I believe. Now it depends on the crazy variables (and socialist haters/shooters) out there. This has become a serious, serious game.

      Jun 14, 2017 14:20 PM

      Very, very serious game Jim.

I am giving the President too much credit, but I have to say that, at this point, I would bet on my analysis and research on him.

    Jun 14, 2017 14:12 PM

Al, after reading the article by Jim Geraghty all I got from it was the same old story where people continually complain about Trump, ie: ” I did what I was told to and it was not good enough. Nobody from within or without wants him in power and they are still determined to get rid of him. I really don’t understand what you may have saw other then that. Please explain! DT

Not trying to be rude…and not trying to sound all gloom and doom but it would appear things are well past the point of no return…it’s lights out, folks…

Simon Mikhailovich of Tocqueville Bullion Reserve reminds us of those numbers with a sobering tweet:

A bit of math. With the global debt / GDP ratio at 320% and the cost of average debt service at 2%, it takes 6.4% growth per annum just to service the debt. Not happening.

The U.S. has deployed a “high mobility” rocket system inside Syria in direct opposition to the Syrian forces. In the south, where they have attacked Syrian forces repeatedly.

New U.S. sanctions are ment to oppose south stream with the intention of replacing lng and oil from Russia.

Both are acts of war which the previous sanction were.

I dont think rational thought is missing in washington, I think what they want is war.

    Al,
His “Art of the Deal” is to declare victory whether or not he actually won. Read “The Making Of Donald Trump” to understand how Trump made his money and operated his businesses. Basically he was too big to fail and had no ethics. Plus, he is an inveterate pathological liar and the most egotistical and vain man on earth. Nothing new that he is turning against his own party in the House for voting for the AHCA in order to try to make himself look good. He demands loyalty then double crosses those who are loyal to him when it suits his whims. By the way, Trump did not write “The Art of The Deal” and his ghost writer is now most decidedly anti-Trump.

This AM Friday Trump seems bent on firing Muller and his new AG Trump sires more people than he hires and is slowly destroying the leadership of his own cabinet officers . My prediction still holds , that Trump will resign or be impeached by Jan 1 of 2018. If you read con. and the case law on both clinton and Andrew Johnson impeachment trials , youwill be suprised. Impeachment can be very fast , no drawnout time consuming procedures . Trump couldbe Impeached in 48 hours or less . Misdameners are all that is necessary ,Rules of how impeachment is handled are frankly up to house leadership REPUBS . . You know they all want pence anyway. Just hope no war is used as excuse to leave Trump in office . S
