First a very happy Canada Day to all of our Canadian listeners and an early happy Independence Day for everyone in the US.

As we turn the corner into July it is a great time to look back on the first half of this year. On this weekend’s show we review the markets, gold, and investments in general all with a look ahead to what the trends are for the rest of the year.

We always love to hear your thoughts on the show so please reach out to me at Fleck[at]kereport.com.

  • Segment 1: Rick Rule kicks off the show by recapping the metals complex in terms of gold and precious metals stocks in H1 2017.
  • Segment 2: I continue my conversation with Rick Rule discussing the GDXJ rebalancing and previewing the upcoming Sprott Natural Resource Symposium taking place in Vancouver on July 25 – 28th. It is one of the best resource investing conferences I attend each year so I hope to see you there!
    • Click here to visit the conference website and consider signing up if you are in Vancouver over July 25 – 28th.
  • Segment 3: John Kaiser recaps his recent trip to the Midas Gold property and provides an overview of the sentiment towards precious metals stocks.
  • Segment 4: I wrap up the first hour with Chris Temple and his overview of the first half of 2017 in terms of the investing climate in a broad sense combined with how politics is playing its roll.
  • Segment 5: New Guest Martha Boneta Senior Vice President of Citizens for the Republic discusses property rights.

Segment 1: If I understand Martin Armstrong correctly, he is actually calling for a movement of money into the US as interest rates rise and the world economy collapses. Thus a continued rise in both the Dow and the dollar might be expected.

      Jul 01, 2017 01:08 AM

I admit to be watching the USD with a mind to whether it is about to go on a 6 month or longer rally.

If that begins then I can indeed see money moving in the US markets to take advantage of that.

San Francisco Awards $190,000 To Illegal Immigrant Over “Sanctuary City Violation”

The tax payers of San Francisco will soon be handing over $190,000 to an illegal immigrant, who had a warrant out for his arrest mind you, after he filed a lawsuit alleging that city police violated ‘sanctuary city ordinances’ by handing him over to immigration officials. No, you’ve not lost your mind, this is real life.

CNN Producer: American Voters “Are Stupid As Sh*t”

Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe has just capped off a week of destroying CNN’s last shred of credibility with a Friday morning release of another undercover encounter with an employee of the beleaguered network. Jimmy Carr, a hate-filled Associate Producer, said that virtually everyone he knows at the network – surprise – absolutely hates President Trump.

France’s President Says He is TOO SMART to Communicate with the Fools Who Voted For Him

The French President Emmanuel Macron will break with the long-standing tradition of the President making a speech on Bastille Day to celebrate winning independence. He says his “complex thoughts” may prove too much for journalists. The truth is, his agenda is to surrender the independence of France and hand it to Brussels. He has no interest in celebrating Independence Day when he intends to end that independence. Just astonishing. We now have a president in France who is too intelligent to communicate with the scum beneath time for they are just stupid fools. Perhaps so – since they elected him.

I rally have to wonder just why there is so much hate out there toward Trump. I am being very serious, by the way when I have that thought.

        Jul 02, 2017 02:17 AM

A thought, Trump is showing that many aspects of the progressive agenda is not shared by thinking Americans. Those previously in control thought that they had begun to achieve their agenda and Trump proved that enough Americans disagree that he became the president.

Rare slip up by R Rule using the interest rate example of the eighties as rates rose 17 times to combat raging inflation and gold was bought as a hedge todays world rates are not rising to cut off inflation … bad comparison Rick.
Many of the speakers at the Sprott conference are pure sensationalists who have been predicting doom for the US$ for years blah.blah.blah yet good on Rick to correctly warn depending on the reason the FOMC raises rates further and the US economic reaction that follows the US$ could be very well bid….and all the doom pumpers regarding the $ will continue to be wrong for yet another year(s)

PMs is how the “sprott” people make their living.
If I recall in “nobody knows anything” bob mentions everyone has an agenda.
I think I read that in his book, in any case its true, the “sprott” people want everyone to buy metal and PM shares.

I understand the real payoff for PMs is supposed to begin about 2020, the calculation for that was prior to crypto currencies tho.

        Jul 02, 2017 02:21 AM

If those folk truly believe their particular agendas, I think that is okay. I believe Rick because he puts his money where his mouth is and I do respect that because I have always done the same thing.

          Jul 02, 2017 02:28 PM

sorry Al just because a promotor has a big stake in xyz its not a reason to follow their opinion just look at how many lost their shirts following Eric Sprott into Timminco as it rose from a $1 to $35 with Sprott invested to the gills….the company was delisted….as it was a complete scam. I personally made $1 million profit Trading TIM from the chart not Sprotts opinion/promotion

How many times has Eric and Embry suggested gold was going to take off over at KWN these past 7 years? yet it hasn’t even come close to their projections nor has the US$ of US equity markets again for years!

Investors should google the predictions of the key speakers as their calls for years going back have been way off the mark but the sheeple still fall for the spin yet they so quickly jump all over those that produce facts and they are so quick to suggest tops all these years in US equities when they can’t even get their own pm sector calls correct….= nothing but buy side promoters regardless of having their money behind their opinion Al

            yupper Bill

            John Embry

Everybody likes John Embry – such a cool, healthy, aged surfer-looking Dude. But his calls of the past have been some of the worst – almost a contrarian indicator. Here are some:

February 4, 2013: Embry – Silver Market Is Nearing A Commercial Signal Failure (so close, it hasn’t happened in 37 months since the prediction)

January 22, 2013: Embry: Gold Super-Spike To Be Dwarfed By The Mania In Silver (and eventually the SGR relentlessly climbed from 50:1 to 80:1)

October 25, 2010: John Embry – Gold & Silver Commercial Signal Failure (almost 6 years – still waiting)

March 6, 2013: Embry – Massive Silver Short Positions To Force COMEX Default (goodness….sigh – no comment necessary)

March 11, 2013: Embry – I Believe Global Silver Stockpiles Are Now Exhausted (yes – existing on fumes the last 3 year – ohh my)

January 14, 2013: John Embry – Silver Will Soar Hundreds Of Dollars Higher (after he said this it dropped about 35%)

December 31, 2012: John Embry – The Price Of Silver Will Go Ballistic In 2013 (what do you suppose he means by ‘ballistic’? that it will be 1/3rd of it’s all time high?)

December 10, 2012: John Embry – This Is Why Silver Will Smash Through $100 (because the company you work for sells it?)

August 6, 2012: Embry: Expect Squeeze In Gold, Price Headed Multiples Higher (I hope not too many sold the house on this call expecting immediate returns – when he said it Gold was $1670/ounce high – almost 4 years later $1218)

Precious metal analyst doesnt have R Rule yet, but Mr Embry might be close enough.

            Jul 03, 2017 03:37 AM

yes b you did your homework producing facts not opinion, what the heck are you doing here?

The big difference between the armchair QB’s who are never wrong at these pm blog sites is they’ve never actually made a living as a professional trader as your only as good as your last call/trade and so many within the pm sector who speak to the sheeple have been wrong for years thats why no pro trader looks up on the web to see what Mr knowitall’s opinion is before trading their positions….ha ha think about it…..goog luck to you b as your obviously not drunk on the buy side promotional kool-aid soooo many are and don’t even know it

            Jul 03, 2017 03:13 PM

            Hi Trader Bill,

I will say that Cory and I put our money where our mouth’s are. And, I can tell you at the age of 73 everything is okay at my house.

      Jul 01, 2017 01:28 PM

I didn’t hear a slip-up from Rick at all. He stated a fact when he said that interest rates and gold rose together during the seventies (not eighties). Many experts expected gold to be weak this time around as well. They were dead wrong and I pointed out exactly what Rick did on this site months and even years before that first hike in December, 2015.

The rate hike cycle of the last decade was also a very good time for gold.

As for your “doom pumpers”, I have to point out that the dollar is down 80% versus gold since the REAL peak in stocks and GDP 15+ years ago.

        Jul 01, 2017 01:18 PM

your most likely not old enough to understand the reasons behind the rate hike cycle of the late 70-80’s as it was inflation driven which is certainly not the case today and in fact we now have the US feds raising rates and looking to unwind along with the ECB and BOE suggesting rate hikes and the BOC turning hawkish which drove the CDN$ higher while oil declined recently so even with these Central banks all looking to raise rates gold is barely hanging on? not ripping higher with so mnay Hawks??

Two US hikes were in Dec a typical low tax loss selling buy zone for the pm sectors.

Even with the recent weaker US$ gold is weak

Every blog has the one guy who knows everything about everything and twists anyone who suggests the promoters here have been wrong for years regardless of the facts…so amateur!

Sprott always pumps the buy.buy.buy as the world is about to end….oh for 5-7-10 years now…lol

TB….just another gold promotion web site

          b
          Jul 01, 2017 01:29 PM

It is Bill, but nothing wrong with that.
And money can be made trading shares and even the gold silver ratio.
On occasion, we get kinda manias too, and there is lottsa coin in those.
No rush like a gold rush.

I continue to believe 5% phyzz gold of an investment portfolio is astute, silver is another animal.

          Jul 01, 2017 01:54 PM

The “you’re probably not old enough” is one of the dumbest, Bill. Whatever the period in history you want to look at, the vast majority of those who were there don’t have a clue what really happened let alone what the causes were.

There’s been massive inflation of the money supply and it is only beginning to be priced into the market. You do know that price inflation is the result of inflation of the money supply, don’t you?

Inflation is not as low as you’ve been led to believe and gold is not as weak as your biases lead you to believe.

The action in the miners has been speaking to you for over a year but you obviously don’t speak the language.

Re: “Two US hikes were in Dec a typical low tax loss selling buy zone for the pm sectors.”

Your dismissal fails. Gold rose about 15% following the Dec. 2013 and Dec. 2015 lows but rose more than 31% following the rate hike and Dec. 2015 low.

And finally, when have I ever “twisted” anyone for suggesting that the promoters have been wrong for years. Most clearly were. Rick Rule happened to be one of the least gold pumping but that has nothing to do with the topic at hand. I’m defending a specific correct statement of his while you’re getting emotional and trying to switch the conversation to generalities.

The coming price inflation is going to surprise you, Bill, and something tells me that you will be nowhere to be found when it does.

            Jul 01, 2017 01:43 PM

sooo typical assuming nobody else knows whats going on within their economic cycle except you of course, again how amateur! My wealth was built during the 80’s by being very aware of market trends.
The main driver of gold was the late Jan BOJ policy action by going negative rates but I knew you would not be aware of what caused the reaction into Aug 2016 very few do unless your a pro market player.
There is not a chance in hell that great gains in the pm sector will not have me onboard but it wont be based on any opinion as those fail the average investor just as history proves at every top or bottom.
Gold bulls hope the world falls apart so their warnings for years of a $ collapse or equity collapse comes true yet gold silver and the miners were crushed during the US financial crisis, thats fact! as the US $ ripped higher another huge mistake by the Sprott team funny how these experts were so clueless another fact well known by traders here in Toronto

Learn to trade off the charts men or you will be misguided by expert opinion as all one needs to do is look at the expert calls at major turning points against the chart action and you’ll agree or perhaps its too late your drunk on the promoters Kool-aid….Rickards within the FX community is know as a clown for his fx track record is pathetic!

            Reality vs Spin…..enjoy your kool-aid

            Jul 01, 2017 01:30 PM

There you go with your dumb generalities again. Not only do I NOT hope for ‘the world to fall apart”, I know that it doesn’t need to fall apart.

Learn to value learning in general and you’ll be much better off.

            Jul 02, 2017 02:04 AM

Wow, I should proof read. The first line at 1:54 above should read: The “you’re probably not old enough” argument is one of the dumbest…

          Jul 01, 2017 01:18 PM

Since Rick Rule is a big part of Sprott and he was the one who openly admitted he was a seller of gold and gold stocks last august not sure I agree with your point..he also has stated that it’s early with copper so not hyping things there either!!!!

Speaking of property rights, you boys see this?

But it is just infuriating – we have people come down here saying, ‘Please don’t take my property’ and because they are just an ordinary person we take their property.

This is just how our government masters think. I am surprised the b*tch let that slip: the pure essence of government.

People must never forget that there is nothing voluntary about government. You can’t opt out. You can’t say, “No thank you, I don’t want to do business with you. ”

You must obey every order, law, ruling, edict, demand, regulation, stipulation and ordinance. In short, you must do everything a bureaucrat, politician or other gooberment employee says to the letter, no matter how ridiculous or unfair. And you must pay every tax, fee, levy, and assessment that they demand or you will be fined and penalized, and if you refuse to pay the fines and penalties, men with guns will come after you and put you in a cage with violent inmates. And if you resist you will be killed. That is the very essence of government.

PARIS (AP) — An oil tanker and a large cargo ship collided Saturday in the Dover Strait between Britain and France but no casualties or pollution from the accident have been reported so far, French authorities say.

The local Maritime Prefecture said the collision between the two Honk Kong-flagged vessels took place overnight 20 miles (32 kilometers) off the northern French port of Dunkirk, in the British zone of the strait between the English Channel and the North Sea, one of the world’s busiest sea routes. It said none of the tanker’s 27 crew members or the 22 on the freighter was injured.

China Completes Construction Of New Missile Shelters On Disputed South China Sea Islands

Trump’s “up and down” relationship with China may be on the precipice of taking a sharp dive into the proverbial abyss. After frequently threatening to label China a “currency manipulator” on the campaign trail last year, Trump’s relationship with China’s President Xi Jinping took a decided turn for the better after a meeting at Mar-a-Lago in which China vowed to help address the “menace of North Korea” .

And, shortly after those efforts were declared dead, the Trump administration signed a $1.3 billion arms deal with Taiwan, a deal which China has “demanded” be cancelled immediately.

Meanwhile, as the Financial Times points out today, in the midst of all the international crises, China has made great strides building out and further militarizing their disputed islands in the South China Sea.

      – Illinois, California, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Kentucky and eight other states are vulnerable.
Isn’t it funny to note they are all failed Democrat states. Is it they are incompetent at math or did the corrupt politicians give their cronies too much? They certainly did not undertax!

Don’t worry, CFS. California politicians are hell bent on establishing a single payer health care system in the state. I’m sure that will work out great but first they have to figure out how to steal the money…that appears to be a bit of a problem right about now.

“Maybe the only solution is a single payer solution.”

Can’t believe I heard Mr. Big Al Korelin said this. I guess I can check out now as I’ve heard it all. You boys enjoy your socialized medicine.

      Jul 01, 2017 01:15 AM

When you have people like Mr. Big Al Korelin and even Bob Moriarty saying we should have single payer I guess it’s inevitable.

Obamacare is a completely unsustainable steaming pile and it is doing its job which is to usher in single payer.

        Jul 01, 2017 01:32 PM

        Ebolan:

I should try to qualify my belief that a single payer system would be better than what we have.

Like the political system in the US and the education system in the US and the judicial system in the US, the health care system is an utter disaster. That was true before Obamacare, it is more true after Obamacare and it will be even more so after the Republicans and Trump make the situation even worse.

The US has by far the most expensive medical care system in the world and the least effective for most users. We had relatives to visit us in Miami about 15 years ago, one fellow stuck his arm onto a sharp knife requiring a trip to the emergency room and a one stitch fix. It cost $800. One stitch. When I was a kid, the same visit would have been a $25 fix.

The US health care system is broken and while there are aspects of the British single payer system I disagree with and the French single payer system and the Canadian health care single payer system, they are all cheaper and more responsive to the needs of consumers than the US system.

IE, a single payer system would be better than what we have and I am the last guy on this board to be called a socialist. I am to the right of Attila the hun.

But first we need to remove all of the regulations allowing noncompetitive behavior in the health care system. It’s absurd and probably illegal to pay $50 for an aspirin.

Fifty years ago doctors were upper middle class. Today doctors feel they need a million dollar income. It’s all because we left the gold standard and people no longer understand what money is and isn’t, or what value is or isn’t. The US health care system doesn’t deliver fair value.

          Jul 01, 2017 01:12 PM

It seems that everything the government touches turns to sh*t eventually.

Health care is no exception. Medicaid, Medicare and Obamacare are all a mess.

I just find it hard to believe that a government that is as corrupt and captured by special interests as ours is going to improve upon the complete mess it has already made.

With single payer those special interests aren’t going away and could have even more influence as the government gets more control over what’s left of the health care market. Promoting an arsonist from fireman to captain of the fire station seems to be the route we are going to take.

I predict Ryancare or Trumpcare or whatever the Republicans come up with won’t fix anything and when we get the next Democrat in the White House we will find out how single payer will work in the US and my prediction is it will be a disaster. I hope I am wrong.

          Jul 02, 2017 02:15 AM

Bob M, Canada has a great healthcare system and it is much better now then when it was founded. The mainstream controlled media puts out a lot of nonsense about wait times and lineups, it is all nonsense. If I thought we weren’t getting value for our money I would be right there saying so. DT

          Jul 02, 2017 02:48 PM

All I can say is I don’t understand Mr. Big Al Korelin and a lot of the people here. But then again, I don’t understand most Americans or most other people for that matter.

Anyway, one interview Mr. Big Al Korelin is advocating property rights saying it is the bedrock of freedom. Then an interview later he’s saying the government should completely take over health care. (That is what a single payer system would do.)

Am I the only one who perceives an inconsistency here?

          Jul 02, 2017 02:29 AM

Purely and simply Eddy, our health care system stinks.

What I am saying is that if America wants universal health care, and it seems to then the only way to make it financially viable is to have a senior payer system.

‘Obamaphone’ program stashes $9 billion in private bank accounts

The Government Accountability Office has issued a report showing that the Lifeline Program to issue phones to qualified poor persons is rife with fraud and abuse. Phones were regularly issued to unqualified persons during the last administration and an incredible $9 billion has been discovered to have been deposited to private bank accounts.

All is well with me Jerry. And yes, they are all snakes.

            Jul 01, 2017 01:25 PM

            Ebolan,

I meant that Obama was not the one to start the free cell phone program so why do people call it Obama phone? Obama had nothing directly to do with the Lifeline free cell phones.

            Jul 01, 2017 01:12 PM

OK, so how about we call them government phones but we make Obama responsible for the fraud and corruption that took place with that program under his watch? And why should anyone be forced to pay for someone else’s phone service?

            Jul 01, 2017 01:55 PM

            Ebolan,

Let me say I have no problem with people receiving different forms of welfare under certain circumstances and paying a small amount towards it. And that would probably include phone service. Now of course I would be much more strict about who gets welfare than the government. I knew too many people trying to find ways to get welfare when they really did not need it.

As far as myself, after I lost my job back in 2009 I collected unemployment for over a year while working part-time. I did qualify for food stamps but I decided not to apply since I did not need it. Someone however told me about getting a free cell phone. Since I had a landline phone and did not make many calls any way I saw no real need to get a cell phone. But then I thought, what happens if I witness an accident in which someone was seriously hurt or I needed to call 911 for some other kind of emergency. Having a cell phone might save someone’s life. May be even my own. So it made sense to get one. Once I got full-time employment and I was no longer eligible I immediately contact SafeLink and informed them I no longer qualify. I had heard how expensive cell phone plans were so I was going to forget about having a cell phone but then I found out about TracFone which would cost only about $100 a year. I recommend everyone should have a cell phone for the reasons that I stated.

            Jul 01, 2017 01:28 PM

I am sorry to hear about your misfortune. I am not against helping people. Everyone depends upon the help of others at some point in their life. No one is an island as the saying goes…but the problem is government.

Even if all these programs start with the best of intentions they become monsters and one day you wake up and your gooberment is $20 trillion in debt and has hundreds of trillions of unfunded liabilities. And the problem grows worse by the day. At some point the whole thing will implode and take down many innocent people.

Regarding cell phone service, if all you are interested in is making emergency calls I believe you can do that without having to pay for cell phone service. See

In order for the phone to call 911, it has to have a working signal. It does not have to have a contract with a carrier (meaning you can’t call any other number and can’t receive calls).

            https://www.verywell.com/can-my-old-defunct-cell-phone-still-call-911-1298359

            Jul 01, 2017 01:30 PM

And here is an article from earlier this year about getting free cell phone service without any gooberment welfare…

            https://www.lewrockwell.com/2017/02/david-hathaway/get-free-cell-phone-service/

            Jul 01, 2017 01:31 PM

            Ebolan,

I know were you are coming from and I think we pretty much agree. I also found out a number of years ago that you can use an old cell phone that had a working signal to make 911 calls only and thought about just doing that instead of getting a cell phone plan. However there might be an emergency where you need to be contacted family members, say if your mother or father were in a serious accident. Both my parents are elderly and not in the best of health so I would want to have a cell phone so I can be contacted if I am away from home. Thanks.

I did notice that there were and probably still are some erroneous understandings about and why I feel the way that I do about single payer and Israel. I hope that is now clear to all. (Ebolan!)

        Jul 02, 2017 02:20 AM

Eddy, I don’t think that was its sole purpose.

The bottom line is that if society decides all should have some type of medical care It appears to me that the businesses have to be taken out of the equation. The only outcomes seem to be no universal health care; an abysmal national balance sheet; or, single payer.

        Am I missing something?

        Jul 02, 2017 02:25 AM

Common b, our have proven over and over that you are smarter than that.

I think that a single payer system is the only economic way that universal health care can be financed. Show me another way, b!

Mr. Big Al Korelin, please get some better guests if you are going to talk about health care again.

Your guest said, “People are contributing to Medicare.” This is not true at all. People do not contribute to Medicare. They have the money taken from them and if they try to withhold that confiscation of their money, men with guns will come to take them away to prison and if they resist they will be killed. How is this a contribution?

Medicare is a ponzi scheme run by corrupt politicians and bureaucrats. Your guest wants to continue this and even expand it.

Please, if you are going to talk about health care again get someone from Mises or some other organization that does not advocate theft.

Thanks, Jerry. I don’t know, though. It seems like when I try to explain this to people they just get pissed off. Or if not, they understand and even agree but then 5 minutes later say something that completely contradicts everything I said.

I remember seeing a recent interview with Jeff Deist. He said that despite the explosion of interest in liberty (for example, Ron Paul’s impact, the huge increase in Web traffic for sites like Mises, etc.), the expansion of government and the increase in government power and control over our lives and money is inexorable.

I guess all the brainwashing people get starting around age 5 in the gooberment schools has done its job. People can’t imagine living without the state controlling their lives and they don’t even realize it.

By Stephen Dinan – The Washington Times – Monday, February 27, 2017
The government flagged more than 1.6 million foreign visitors for overstaying their visas from 2013 to 2015, but deportation agents said they fell too low on President Obama’s list of priorities to bother targeting for removal, according to a watchdog report released Monday.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the deportation agency, concluded that it would cost too much to pursue the overstays, the Government Accountability Office said. ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations branch instead chose to focus on illegal immigrants who jumped the border and who amassed serious criminal records — the priorities Mr. Obama laid out.

Gold bugs are absolutely are nuts and got it all wrong..BM lol “A flood of comments from central banks this week has been signalling that the era of easy money is coming to an end. Of course, the nonsense spouted out by the Gold Promoters that hyperinflation was coming has left 10 years of continually wrong forecasts, yet the pretend analysts have done far more damage to the marketplace that is only now revealing itself. Note carefully, that gold has declined WITH the dollar. Something else the promoters said would never happen.
Gold had soared to reach record highs at $1,920.30 an ounce back in 2011 on the propaganda of hyperinflation coming because of Quantitative Easing (QE). Now with QE coming to an end, why buy gold? We see the same nonsense setting the euro up ripe for the slaughter. The prospect of QE ending at the European Central Bank (ECB) has been sending the euro up, yet once again to the delusion that all will be reversed and higher interest rates will save the Euro.”

Tourists, locals buy Nevada’s legal recreational marijuana
By REGINA GARCIA CANO and JOHN LOCHER – Associated Press – 9 minutes ago
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Cheers and long lines of tourists and locals alike greeted the first day of sales of recreational marijuana on Saturday as Nevada became the fifth state with stores selling pot.

      Jul 01, 2017 01:49 PM

      Mr. CFS,

Getting back to your home state and taxes for a second…watch what happens in November. Currently, the people in Commiefornia are paying about a dollar more a gallon for gas than most of the country and the large tax increases the Demorats and one traitorous Republoclown (this vermin: “Republican Backed Jerry Brown’s Gas Tax for $400 Million Pork Project” http://www.breitbart.com/california/2017/04/09/report-jerry-browns-gas-tax-cost-1-billion-side-deals/ (there’s a picture in that article of him scheming with his Demorat buddy)) crammed down the taxpayers throats.

That tax increase is over 12 cents a gallon and starts November 1. Also, the vehicle registration tax goes up then, too. An even bigger story is what they did to the cost of diesel. It goes up a whopping 20 cents a gallon plus an additional 4 percent on the special diesel sales tax. Mind you, these are not the only California taxes on gas and diesel. For instance state and local sales tax is charged on every gallon on top of all the other taxes and that is a minimum of 7.25% and in some areas of the state around 10%.

But it gets even worse. In 2019 the gas tax will go up another 7 cents a gallon. Also, after 2017 the gas, diesel and car registration tax go up automatically every year as they are indexed to inflation.

What do you think these tax increases are going to do to the cost of everything in Commiefornia? Anyway, it kicks off Nov 1 of this year.

        Jul 01, 2017 01:52 PM

However there is some good new.

An effort is underway to repeal the Demorat theft in the Nov 2018 election.

And you can be apart of this effort if you wish.

You can go here for more info https://nocagastax.com/

        Jul 01, 2017 01:56 PM

Also, there is an effort to recall one Demorat politican…maybe more at some point.

Forgot to mention the bogus global warming carbon tax. The state gooberment forces refiners and all sorts of other businesses to buy carbon credits and that adds another 15 cents to the cost of a gallon of gas. Yet no one mentions it or even considers it a tax. The money goes into a slush fund for corrupt politicians.

There is a bright spot in the future of mankind if we live long enough for it to happen. Artificial Intelligence will make our species smarter so that we can understand the forces of evil that exist and how to deal with them. We must learn how to stop wars and how to cooperate not only with other nations on our own planet but also with extra terrestrial life that may want to destroy us, if we get the chance to colonize outer space.

This battle Trump is having with the media is pure evil, it’s all about self serving parties trying to dominate our species. If we can’t see evil where it exists and it is everywhere; for example take North Korea, they are bullying The US with nuclear weapons but where did they learn that from. We will find that our species is not smart enough to multiply and live in the future. DT

Gestapo is Back: German Homes Raided Over Facebook Post.
With the internet, the government can simply hear and see for themselves what thought crimes are being committed, especially when people decide to post them on social media. But why shouldn’t people be allowed to be offensive on social media? Sometimes only by poking and prodding do we get to the crux of an issue. There is a place in society for all types of discourse, and when the government gets to define what constitutes “hate speech” they will simply label their enemies’ language as such.

By “right wing extremist” what German authorities really mean is anyone who questions the immigration policies of the Europe, or thinks differently than the general population. Literally simply insulting someone, or talking trash can make you liable for five years in prison in Germany. According to section 130 of their criminal code:

    (1) Whoever, in a manner that is capable of disturbing the public peace:
incites hatred against segments of the population or calls for violent or arbitrary measures against them……..

Jun 20, 2015 – The Earth’s sixth mass extinction is already underway — and humans are the driving force behind it, according to a new study. “Recent extinction rates are unprecedented in human history and highly unusual in Earth’s history,” according to a study published Friday in the journal Science Advances.

Mass extinction events appear to have several possible causes. For the older events the causes are not known. (Indeed the length of time over which the extinction occurs sometime is long, but solar particle radiation and meteor strikes can cause rapid extinction.)
        Possible causes are:
        Abnormal solar radiation/coronal ejection.
Shift of earth’s axis or magnetic field
        Major volcanic eruptions
        Meteor or comet strikes

The fact that earth has a magnetic shield is very important for life.
Human travel to Mars is not thought possible at this time because of lack of shielding.
Even establishing a station on the moon would require it to be underground.

HONG KONG (AP) — Global investor access to China’s financial markets is widening further with the launch of a bond trading link with Hong Kong.

Officials banged a gong and clinked glasses of champagne on Monday morning as they officially kicked off trading on the long awaited Bond Connect link.

It’s the latest channel to link up financial markets in Hong Kong, a global financial center, and mainland China, where authorities are gradually lowering restrictions for overseas investors.

Initially, investors can get “northbound” access via Hong Kong financial institutions to mainland China’s interbank bond market, the world’s third largest at $9.4 trillion in value.

Officials say they’re still exploring “southbound” access for mainland investors.

In 2014, Hong Kong launched a stock trading link launched with Shanghai, followed by one last year with Shenzhen.
