Welcome!

A reversal in gold and a select PM stocks popping today

Cory
July 11, 2017

Gold was looking like it was going to challenge $1,200 today but got a bounce mid day. PM stocks followed but there were a couple that had a very nice move. This could be due to the political news from Donald Trump Jr. but from aย  technical perspective we are due for a bounce. The question is how high can it go?

    OOTB,
Real estate housing will be slow for the next few months. But we are currently at the bottom” of farms and land! It’s time to buy farms and land right now. I care not what others opinions are on that, I know what the market is doing.

      Jul 11, 2017 11:02 PM

I am not sure I agree with you..

The majority of people are paying close to 50percent of income for shelter. There are still parts of the country where people are still upside down on their property.

        Abolish the Fed and 16th

    Jul 11, 2017 11:01 PM

I believe Prof. Griffin has missed one point.

Part of the purpose of the income tax is to allow politicians to curry favor with certain citizens and thereby gain votes.

      Jul 11, 2017 11:22 PM

No matter the details, the entire purpose can be summed up in one word: control.

        Jul 12, 2017 12:45 AM

        absolutely.

      Jul 12, 2017 12:27 AM

Term limits might eliminate the “curry”.. ๐Ÿ˜‰

        Jul 12, 2017 12:44 AM

Political curry can be quite stinky….

Agreed on placing term limits, so they get in, take the hard stand that they were elected for, get work done is a limited time, and get out so someone else has a go at it.

Lifetime politicians that foster relationships with lobbyists and special interest groups is what spawns the corruption, and their desire to get re-elected quite often stands between them voting for what is right versus what makes them look good. 4 years or 6 years and bu-bye….

          Jul 12, 2017 12:08 AM

          Eliminate the Fed…

Goldman Sachs warns that oil could plunge below 40 dollars per barrel. The reasons are obvious ….. increasing supply from all avenues are just too great to handle the decreasing demand for oil.

IPT finally reached a level that I’ve been watch for a long time (it wasn’t long ago that I doubted it would make it):

Palladium has continued to look very strong, and hardly anyone has been discussing this industrial and semi-precious metal all year long. The stocks that actually mine or explore for both Palladium and Platinum have not had a very good run either so there is a real disconnect going on in the PGM space. Platinum should actually start to perform better relative to Palladium and Gold over the next 12 months, and I’d expect a few of the miners to begin recovering a bit.

And . . . the best that is offered is Obamacare-lite: keeping the Obamacare subsidies, keeping some of the Obamacare taxes, creating a giant insurance bailout superfund, and keeping most of the Obamacare regulations.
