I researched him prior to posting this video. I think that he is much more independent that most would give him credit for and he seems to be pretty clear headed.

I found nothing offensive in that short video even the comment about Trump. He stressed the faults of the banking system. How many of us would disagree with that? Elizabeth Warren? Ah, who cares!

Damon was well-acquainted with Howard Zinn from a young age. Neighbors or family friends, if I remember correctly.
My impression is that Damon is well-intentioned and has some sound ideas and principles, but that he has fallen for Marxist solutions. Or he could be a dis-info agent. I haven’t watched him enough to try to make that distinction.
Regarding Zinn, at this point I don’t have a strong opinion. When I read him many years ago I thought highly of him. But I’ve learned a lot since then, and suspect I might react differently to his writing today.
One ploy of dis-info agents is to tell the truth about terrible abuses to get people riled into an emotional, irrational state, and then steer them toward a false solution. Get them emotional enough and committed enough to the cause, and they may never see their way clear of it. I believe this is what has happened with the plague of ilLiberals now afflicting us.
I believe that Damon’s good intentions are genuine (as were Zinn’s) but that’s not good enough. The road to hell…

I agree with much of what he said especially the comment about the Declaration of Independence and war, however the comments about “distribution” and “redistribution” of wealth were terrible. Wealth is earned in a free society, not distributed. If we abolish the state how does he propose to distribute wealth?
Lot of ways to look at this. For example is personal donation to a charity a redistribution of wealth. I would argue that when Kath and I donate to our Church that is a redistribution of our wealth to the Church.
